I'm a student at pastry school and have been thinking... what restaurants in Disney have the BEST desserts? Of course taste is the most important but what about presentation? Does anyone have pictures of some cool desserts they've eaten/tasted at Disney?

:cake:

If you look in the special links, theres the food porn thread (pictures of food)
Im sure youll find some great pictures of desserts. :thumbsup2
youll find the higher priced restaurants have the classier looking desserts.
Although all restaurants have great desserts. ;)

we just ate at san angel inn last night and had the mexican hot choc. with a churro and mexican caramel....mmmmm yum. i wouldnt say the presentation was anything spectacular but it sure:goodvibes was yummy.

V&A, bistro de Paris, blue zoo top my list.

WDW restaurant desserts have went downhill in the last few years so your best bet for something unique is to go to one of the restaurants not on the dining plan.

Well, a pastry chef might like to check out the starring rolls cupcakes, just for fun. Not only are they delicious, huge and yummy, they're beautiful! Otherwise, i dont remember that many fabulous restaurant desserts. The one i remember as my favorite was Tutto Italia: berries, zabaglione cream gelato and chocolate sauce! Sooo good!

I personally think Disney has some of the most beautiful desserts. They are always presented exquisitely. As a pp suggested, go on the food porn link and you will find tons of pics. Our favorite dessert, while not that original, is the almond crusted cheesecake at Narcoossee's. Flying fish also had a puff pastry something with bananas that was very good but I can't remember the name of it.

Wolfgang Puck Cafe has great desserts; I love smores at LeCellier-great presentation; the french bakery in Epcot has a wonderful selection as does Sunshine Seasons. And we LOVE the bread pudding at Ohana-nothing fancy, but delicious!!

France and Norway are my favorites. I also love the pistachio creme brulee and Jiko. Something that looks cool is the tie dye cheesecake at POP :)

I think that Disney has done a really good job with the presentation of most of the desserts. Wwhile I do agree that the breadth of the menus has decreased, I do not feel that there has been a huge drop off in quality and taste. I miss many of the older dishes, like the raspberry fool at R&C, but I found lots of new ones that I like just as well.

Below are a few pictures of the desserts that my family shared in December.

I really liked the presentation of the S'mores dessert at Le Cellier.

The dessert sampler at Tutto Italia was also really pretty:

But in terms of taste and presentation, my favorite was the chocolate mousse at Narcoossee's.

The bakery in France for sure, my favorite restaurant dessert is Lecellier's chocolate on Chocolate Whiskey cake.

Best tasting or best looking?

I love these...

Bread Pudding at Raglan Road.
Bread Pudding at Ohana.
Fathers Sundae at Prime Time.
Pistachio Creme Brulee at Tony's Town Square. I used to prefer the one at Jiko but it's not served there anymore.
Hot Fudge Sundae at the Plaza.
Sugar Free Dessert sampler at The Wave.

I think they took the S'mores off the new Le Cellier menu :furious:

My favorite desserts for taste and presentation were at Flying Fish and Citricos.

I have lots of dessert photos in my dining reviews - links in my signature.

I love the almond pretzels in Norway. The rolls at Starring Rolls are great. Many of the Signature restaurants have good presentation and decent desserts. Our kids love the white chocolate puzzles at the Yachtsman Steakhouse.

Best tasting for me so far:

#1 hands down is almond encrusted cheese cake at Narcossee, rich cheese cake flavor even tho it was kind of soft, it was round and covered with almond slivers..

#2 Banana chocolate creme brulee at Kona

#3 Maple Creme Brulee at Le Cellier ( see a trend for me?)

#4 Butterfinger cupcake at Starring Rolls

#5 Bread pudding at Ohana

#6 Strawberry shortcake at Sunshine Seasons

One of the best things I have ever eaten was the chocolate creme brulee at California Grill. SO good!
