Monday - Back to work, but with that much shutdown, it is more a figure out what needs done rather than actual work.
21 days off the next month and a half and I only use up 6 days of vacation, or I could have done what many do and start an unemployment claim for all the non-holidays.
We do have a Firewatch shift during our shutdown times. You basically just have to tour the plant checking on the doors and make sure everything is OK. You are not allowed to touch anything that has to do with work because you are the only one in the facility. That means, last time I worked a Firewatch right after Christmas, I had hours and hours to sit in my office and play my newly aquired guitar. Or we bring in our vehicles from outside and wash them reallllllly good. It is encouraged to bring in our vehicles for a wash.
