Who has a Kindle? (wireless reading device)

I find it more comfortable than holding a book too. Its light and I can hold it with one hand. It is also awesome at the gym, no more trying hold the page down while on the elliptical.

Does anyone know if they make better cases for the kindle? I would love something softer or maybe a nice leather case.

Yes, there is a wonderful leather case made by M-Edge, I think. Look on the Amazon website or read in the discussion forums to get the correct info.

I have the red leather one and I love it - there are secure corners on three places and the fourth corner (top right) has an elastic band with a small leather strip - so you can easily slip it off and stick a finger back to turn the wireless on and off without having to take the Kindle out of the cover entirely. I've had this cover since June and it's held up nicely. I carry it in my purse all the time when I am not actually reading!!!

2 people I work with ordered them since I showed them how easy it was to use and how easy to download books etc. I read everyday and this is the best money spent.

They should have a "Kindle Referral" program! My boss has ordered one for his wife for Christmas and another co-worker got one for herself. We should get some kind of kick-back for their orders!

I haven't gotten thru all 16 pages of comments yet so please forgive me if this has been answered previously. I love the idea of the Kindle. My only concern is taking it on vacation to the beach. I would think that sun, sand, water and electronic devices are a bad idea. But I love reading on my lounge chair and to be truthful also on my pool float. Anyone taken their Kindle on vacation? Did it survive?

I have read that some people just slide it into a large ziploc type bag and use it through/in that.
