Who has a better pool CR or AKL?

We hav narrowed it down to these two and the pool is the deciding factor for my kids 8 and 14.

Please give me your opinions on the better pool.

I have stayed at BW,BCV,CSR and HRH so I know some of the nicest pools are there but we have never stayed at CR or AKL and wanted to know which pool is better.

AKL has a beautiful zero entry pool surrounded by lush vegetation and palm trees. You can actually look out from the pool and watch giraffes walk by, or listen to the flamingoes "flagging" their opinions about each other as you lounge poolside. The pool bar is fantastic and always has a great group of people around enjoying each others' company. You could say I vote for AKL!

Well, the CR is older, and even though they've renovated their pool area, it's still a traditional pool area.

The AKL pool area is more imaginative, and has a zero entry area. It's more freeform than ordinary, and there are two hot tubs there for relaxing.

To me, the AKl pool looks more inviting.

I agree AKL! We've stayed at the CR twice and both times the pool always seemed cold as well. AKL was just perfect. Lots of fun memories at that pool!

We stayed at AKL 2 years ago and the CR just last week and we enjoyed both pools. The AKL is beautiful, no doubt about it. But the CR pool has a much better slide for older kids and it was never very crowded. The AKL pool is huge but always seemed very busy. The CR pool is also right there on the lake which is nice. I liked it more than I thought I would. Of course you can walk to the MK from the CR and watch the electric water pagent on the lake at night which is very nice.

My kids are young so the AKL pool is no doubt better for them (no baby pool at the CR) but with older kids they might like the CR pool better. Either resort is awesome - best thing about CR is how close you are to the MK and monorail. Guess the Poly pool would be the best - great theming and a monorail resort

Another vote for AKL. Very fun, lush, the bar is great, great view, atmosphere, etc...etc....etc...

The CR's pool is OK, it has a nice view of the lake, but overall we find it to be pretty stark.

I have stayed a both resorts and AKL wins hands down when it comes to the pool and hot tubs. The pools at the CR are plain and boring and I found them always cold. 2 weeks ago I was at the AKL and just loved the resort and the pool was so great that my kids just didn't want to get out of it when it was time to go to the parks. I vote for AKL and hope that Disney puts a real neat pool in at the CR, SOMETHING THEMED TO THE MAX!
