Thanks for the invitation to cruise with you and Mike.

I'm going to check it out, and maybe consider booking while we are onboard in January.

No guarantees though but we did say we wanted to go on the Dream, so you never know.

Okay finally some pictures from my Florida vacation.

These are all taken at the Gaylord Palms. It is a big fancy resort that we've seen the outside of lots of times and always wanted to go in and have a look. We finally took the time to do that. It has a huge dome roof that is really interesting.

Turns out that Ann and Tom are spending Christmas at the Gaylor Palms, which we did not know when we were there looking around. I'm sure they will have a great time there. We went to a Mediterranean Buffet for lunch and it was delicious:thumbsup2

These are all inside pictures at the Gaylor Palms. There is a restaurant on the deck of this ship.

There were lots of fall decorations around when we were there.

The wedding pavilion. Looks very pretty.

Some of the lush plants that are growing inside there.

Some of the alligators at the alligator display.

More of the beautiful interior.

After our tour of the Gaylord Palms we went to the home of our travelling companions friend, Bob.

He lives in Orland and this is his cute dog, Cosmo.

IMG_5045.jpg

Then Rick and I were off to MNSSHP. Where I did not take any pictures at all. But here is a picture of all of the loot that we collected. The bowl that the candy is in is huge. The smaller bowl beside it is actually quite large. If you filled it with cereal in the morning you'd have a pretty big bowl of cereal.

On to our meeting with Ann and Tom.

We both did a bit of driving and met in the middle, Daytona for some lunch and some fun at the go kart track.

We had a nice looooooong lunch at Ruby Tuesday's with much talking and catching up and laughing. We always enjoy getting together with those two:goodvibes

Then we headed over to the track.

Ann couldn't wait to get to the arcade to play the skeet ball game and that's the first thing that we did. We had a great time and ended up with a fist full of tickets that we traded in for some little trinket toys.

IMG_5051.jpg

The one and only picture taken of me the whole vacation. I hope you enjoy it :woohoo:

IMG_5052.jpg

Now off to the karts we go. We had a great time although it seemed that no matter which track we were on and which kart I was driving..... I could never get one that had any speed to it. :headache:

Some karting pictures for you:

And she was right ;)

On our last day in Florida we went canoeing with our travelling companions, Cliff and Val, at Wekiva State Park.

It was beautiful. The water was so clean and clear and we saw a lot of wildlife along the way.

I would recommend taking the time to do some canoeing for something different. We would do it again.

Great pictures Robin!...Thanks.
Beautiful resort.
Ann,
How cool to be staying there.
You all look like your having a good time!
Robin,
How close were you to the gators?:scared1:

Betsy, we were extremely close to the gators.

Maybe about 2 canoe lengths away and I said, close enough:eek:

The big one seemed to totally ignore us. :confused3

This looks great and so much fun! I know Ann can keep ANY group talking and conversing! She's a blast! :thumbsup2 SKEEBALL tho Robin! I LOVE that game! And, I'm pretty good. LOVE the go-cart and Nitro cart pics!

On our last day in Florida we went canoeing with our travelling companions, Cliff and Val, at Wekiva State Park.
You have a LOT of friends Robin, including those gators! :scared1: (I purposely didn't quote EVERY pic, because I know how long that can take for some - I'm not sure I even copied the RIGHT ones?!)

Thanks for sharing! FUN!! :woohoo:

Good morning threadkillers and lurkers alike.

Kim, about MNSSHP, we've been there 3 times now. So I guess that sort of answers your question about whether we like it or not;)

Yes, we do really enjoy it. It's nice with all the costumes and decorations, the fireworks are special and the parade is really cool. Even trick or treating is a lot of fun.

Also we got there at 4pm and by 7:30 we had gone on every single ride that we wanted to go on (only skipped a couple). We walked right straight onto most everything, which is always a bonus too.

The gokarting was a lot of fun. It was extremely hot that afternoon but we had fun in spite of it. Anything with Tom and Ann turns into fun because they are just that kind of people.

I don't really have a lot of friends. I have some friends but not what I would even consider to be a lot of them. I spend most of my time home by myself or with Rick. We have a bunch of people that we know and see occasionally and a few that we see more than occasionally but sometimes I wish that I had more girls to just hang out with.

The gators, well, I'm not too sure that I would call them friends.

Hi everyone!

Kim & Robin....you guys are so sweet...you make me blush! Ya'll are a blast, too! We did have fun at the go-kart tracks...didn't we? Thanks for posting the pics.

Here's an update on Mary's hubby: He had surgery this morning and had a defibrillator installed (not a pacemaker) and has some real lifestyle changes to make. His heart is very weak and damaged, but I like his chances. He retained a LOT of water from the congestive heart failure. He's lost 37 lbs in 4 days from water retention...can you imagine? He'll be discharged tomorrow. I just returned home today - I've been at the hospital and staying the night with Mary. I was so tired I fell asleep as soon as I got home!

Betsy, TW & the rest...I don't know about the cruise. That I've got Tom to go on another one was something of a minor miracle. We always have a good time, but I PROMISED him we wouldn't go on a cruise for a year and then if we do another one after that, it's going to be Alaska. So....we'll see?

I hope everyone is well and I've been thinking of you!

:goodvibes Thanks for replying Robin & Ann! I have to sleep, soon now, I have a family party, Dad's side, at 3pm CT today! Marty just left for work, 6-10am! And he works again Sunday the same time. I have a party to go to tho! I'm so selfish! :guilty:

Ann, maybe if the rest of us are going then Tom MIGHT be talked into going too.

It's worth a try.

Maybe we can talk him into at least looking into rebooking in January.

No pressure though.

Kim, have fun at your party.

We are going to see Alex for the weekend. He is thinking of buying a house so we are going to have a look at it and maybe a few more too.

Have a great weekend everyone.

I just can't compete with FB! I don't even GET the whole idea. :confused3

Party, that should have ended at 8, ended about 10:30, and then Kelly & I went to Rory & Amy's til 2.

I've been lurking...the weather gave me a weekend full of sinus headache which makes my eyeballs hurt if I read too much.

I've also been working on filling our WDW week with some final touches.

My photog friend at Themagicinpixels(dot com) is planning some meets in December. He just published his schedule today so I have been working on where his last day fits in with our first day. He's got meets going on at DHS all day starting at 830 in the am; but methinks Rose and I are only going to try to hit his Fantasmic and Osbourne lights meets later that night.

So far we've got Sun:DHS & TMIP Fantasmic & Osbourne meets, Mon:Cape May Cafe character breakfast and Epcot, Tue:MK all day and a Pirate Fireworks cruise from the Contemporary that night, Wed: DTD shopping with 9pm ressie at Raglan road for dinner & a show, Thu: MK by lunch, 3pm Dole Whip meet with WDW Today crew and Tiggerbell's crew ending with MVMCP all night, Fri:O'hana character breakfast then Epcot for the rest of our day. We will end our week with Reflections of Earth, heading home bright and early sat morning. Rose and I like to start our days slow but stay til the parks close.

On top of all that, I am going to squeeze in a meet with a friend from NJ who now lives around the corner from Rose's resort in FL.

Our week is gonna fly; I am uber happy that Rose agreed to let me just focus on Disney this trip...she wanted to do Universal and Sea World but thankfully decided she can do that on her next trip down with her hubby and kids.

I am so happy for Mary that her hubby is home. P&PD that he stays happy and healthy for her for a long time to come :wizard:

Ann & Robin, you guys work on Tom on your cruise and let us know how it goes for you.

I just can't compete with FB! I don't even GET the whole idea. :confused3

I agree Kim.

I really don't see the appeal of Facebook:confused3

But I go on there everyday to see what's happening.

We just got back home from visiting with Alex for the weekend.

Pretty quiet around here while I was gone :guilty:
