Who feels like a threadkiller - Take 4!

Hey Robin!

The turkey was the absolute best turkey I ever made. The dressing...so-so. Tom told me that's the turkey he wants from now on. (Yeah, right...like I'm never gonna try a new recipe again!)

The camping trip is no longer a camping trip. It's a trip to St. Augustine in a hotel. I just never changed the ticker. When we return from St. Augustine, I'm going to do laundry and then head out to Disney for a solo trip. Mary was going with me, but with her hubby having heart problems, she needs to stay home. I told her no worries - this was originally supposed to be a solo trip anyway!

How was tap class?

Okay. I'm sure you will have fun in St. Augustine. I know you love it there.

I also know you love to go to Disney. If I were closer I'd love to spend some time there with you but, alas, I'm not so close:guilty:

Tap class actually went not too bad considering I hadn't done it for the last 3 weeks.

It's a class that requires a lot of stamina which unfortunately I don't really have.

The teacher just said today that this is the hardest, fastest adult tap dance that she has ever done. Hopefully I can have it all figured out by the recital in June.

The lady who we travelled to Florida with a few weeks ago had knee replacement surgery on Tuesday.

I've been up to visit her in the hospital a few times since she has no family here and not a load of friends either.

Today I popped in and brought her some good coffee. I figured she was probably going into coffee withdrawals by now;)

She is actually doing quite well physically and there is a slight chance that she might go home tomorrow.

She's a very spunky lady, so I'm positive this will not hold her down for long.

You are such a good friend and she's lucky to have you. Knee replacements are difficult and anyone could use a friend!

No they only had pirate room?...:confused3, I think its Trinidad south..
I'm a little worried about the park buses..Its a BIG resort!
Don't worry! Trinidad South has good bus service too! :thumbsup2 Maybe you should just think about requesting either 1st or 2nd floor? :confused3

this was originally supposed to be a solo trip anyway!
Well....you DID invite me too. ;) Solo it is tho! :thumbsup2

 all!!

I did! When it comes to meeting in Disney - there's always room for more....but I've had this trip planned for months. I'm ready to see it at Christmas time!

I'm off to get a few things done. My Christmas cards are finished and it's time to start wrapping. The guest bedroom is over-run with Christmas presents...I'm done shopping.

Ya'll take care!
Ann

I'm not anywhere near done with Christmas shopping but then I don't plan on going overboard this year.

Have fun with your day ladies.

I'm ready to see it at Christmas time!

So was I, but $$ happens. :sad2:

So, yours will be the 1st Cmas card I get, assuming you're sending to me again? I have photo cards this year, I have them already, and they sit in their packages. :sad2: I SHOULD have them ready to go, but I don't. :sad2:

I'm not anywhere near done with Christmas shopping but then I don't plan on going overboard this year.
I don't ever PLAN to do that either, it just happens, with both Kelly and Matt having Dec. BD's as well.

Going to Brookfield Zoo in 9 hours with Kelly for Girl Scouts, then Kelly is going shopping with her friend and friend's mom. Sunday, Kelly is making her first communion. There is no relaxing this weekend, or next week, like everyone else of course. ;) Gobble Gobble! I'm not cooking like Ann, but I have some desserts to bring (:confused3) and pack a cooler since we're headed to Wisconsin for T-Day.

Talk soon all! :grouphug:

 Morning everyone.

The only exciting news around here is that Alex put in an offer on a house yesterday.

They are waiting to hear back if the seller accepts that offer or not. He has until 1pm today to reply.

The man is quite anxious to sell. Even had his agent talking to Alex's agent to see if there was anything they could do to make his house more appealing to them.

This house was one that Alex had originally liked and then moved onto a condo style place that he wouldn't have to do any yard work on since he has such a busy work schedule.

Will let you know later if he gets the house or not.

Liz is home for the weekend.

I don't know yet what I am doing. Rick plans to fly this afternoon.

I guess the man selling the house was not all that interested in actually selling it:confused3

He definitely had no interest in negotiating at all.

He pretty much wanted his asking price and wasn't budging from that at all.

Oh well, plenty more houses for sale out there and they have nothing to sell.

They will find their perfect home, I have no doubt about that.

Hope everyone has been having good days.

You must be because no one is hanging around here much.

Well I just managed to kill my garage door.:sad2:

I've been nursing it along for the past year or so but today it finally decided that it had enough.

The top two panels have totally buckled up and it won't close :guilty:

Guess it's time for a new door.

Now you know what I'm doing today.... waiting for the garage door guy.

Robin - sorry about your garage door. I hope you're able to get it replaced easily.

I've been busy the last few days. ALL the Christmas gifts are wrapped and we're getting ready to head out of town Wednesday. Tuesday, we're playing card with our friends all afternoon & evening, so we have to get ready early.

Think of you Threadkillers....

Replacing the garage door won't be too much of a problem.

All it takes is money and patience;)

The guy was supposed to call me back with prices this afternoon but I went out and missed his call.

He also said that they were super busy and we are looking at a wait time of 6 weeks. :confused3

It doesn't matter so much to me because we don't park in the garage anyways.

At least he managed to get the door to shut and it is secure in place now, so it can sit that way until spring for all it really matters to me.

6 weeks?! Is it the only place in town that does this? :confused3 We park 2 cars in our garage everyday/night, not sure how 'parked' the streets would be if we didn't have our garage. Good luck!

Holy Cow!

DisUnc isn't 19?

Whodathunk?

Happy Birthday DisUnc!

....glad to see you around again PD112!

We never park cars in our garage, or I should say we haven't parked any in there for several years.

We have a single car garage, not very wide, not much space to get out of the car once you've parked it.

We just park outside in the driveway or on the street:confused3

Our garage has a bunch of stuff in it...... recycling bins, empty cardboard boxes, that sort of thing.

Happy Half Century Birthday DISUNC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
