I am sitting here enjoying New Years Eve all by myself:thumbsup2

The kids have both gone to the same party in a city an hour away and are not coming home tonight.

Rick of course has gone to bed already.

So that leaves me and my computer :surfweb:

My mother came over earlier for dinner and we rented a copy of Mamma Mia.

We enjoyed it.

We had a very simple dinner, meatloaf, mashed potatoes, asparagus and brown and serve dinner rolls.

Simple but delicious.

Hope everyone is enjoying their evening.

Lori, I won't know what classes I get til that day. That's the only drawback with my school and unemployment's agreement: to get my tuition waived I have to wait til the last day to sign up. If the class I want is full, I have to pick something else.

You are very welcome Annalisa, I guess if I have any complaint about my boxed assortment is that there wasn't one Hannukah card :confused3 You all packed for CP yet?

We just finished dinner, I am on the puter, some are jabbering, some are playing video games...

Just to let you know that I received my card today Colleen.

Thanks.:thumbsup2

:woohoo: I am the FIRST TK to post this year!!!

Just so that we know you are hanging around and we can properly welcome you to the threadkillers.:goodvibes

We are always glad to have you here, lurking or not.:thumbsup2

I hope you get the classes that you want Colleen.

DU, you are all that and then some Dude!

John was gonna cook but with the kids not home it seems like a waste to cook a big meal for just he and I. Looks like leftovers for him and I tonight~John's gonna invite my sister's family over tomorrow for dinner.

Thanks Lori, I hope so too. I keep popping in over at BCC to see if the classes are still open. These were all still available the last tiem I checked.

Hi Robin! Hi Sewer!~

Happy New Year Threadkillers!

DU - Tom and I ALWAYS have pork & sauerkraut on New Year's Day. This year, we decided to go with something different - I took a turkey carcass out of the freezer and we're having turkey soup. BTW, you ARE cutting edge (and young), but that would make Robin vintage and cool....right?

We had a quiet New Year's Eve (we never go out that night). We hit Outback Steakhouse early for dinner and went back home to enjoy our night. We did stay up til midnight - which is unusual - but we were in bed reading.

Today has been a very quiet day for us. We went out to b'fast, but that's it. We've been reading (some more) and making soup!

I hope ya'll have a GREAT day and I'll see you 'round the boards!

HAPPY 2009!!!!

I am sooooo tired, but our party here last night was lots of fun!

Congratulations again PD!

and thank you for that link...he did a great job, I already saved my copies~

SWTD, Are you gonna have access to the DIS while you're away?

Ann, we had delicious hot roast beef sammiches,
John ate some red cabbage and mushrooms that he made.

I've got a few books here I've been rotating thru...the original Imagineering by Disney book, the Pixar story (an incredible read so far) and now I have a Disney Animation book from the library that was put together by Ollie Johnston and Frank Thomas.

HAPPY 2009!!!!

I'm glad your party was a success. Your menu sounded delicious!

TW - Sounds like you do a LOT of Disney reading. I'm mostly romance books on the kindle.

One of the classes I am hoping to get into is an introduction to engineering ::yes:: This class along with all of the books I am reading will eventually help me on my way to wherever it is my brain is leading me...

I have a writing workshop on my list which teaches everything from scripts to news writing. I want to take an official class on digital photography. The fourth class I'm hoping to take (I need 4 to qualify as a full time student) is recording engineering. I've got TV production on my list as a backup if the recording one is full.

My goal with all these classes is to either break into the media world as some form of production engineer or take the computer aided drafting program I'll learn in engineering class to an architechtural design type job. I see alot of those in the want ads I've been reading every week for the last year and thought it'd be worthy and easy for me to learn.

Well LaDeDa Mr. Current and Cutting Edge:rolleyes: :snooty: :sad2: :rotfl2:

I went to a family dinner today with my mom.

The only Pork there was ham. Also had roast beef, mashed potatoes, gravy, scalloped potatoes, salad, veggies, dinner rolls etc.....etc.... etc.

Phew, I'm glad those big meals are all done with now.

BTW, you ARE cutting edge (and young), but that would make Robin vintage and cool....right?

Hmm, not sure if I want to be vintage but vintage is kind of in these days:3dglasses
