I'm still holding out some hope for a trip to warmer climates at some point this winter. Don't know if we will manage it but there is always room for hope.

Unfortunately it was dark outside when Duster went out to play.

I tried to get some pictures but the darn outside light wouldn't work properly for some reason

Maybe I can get her the next time she decided to play in the snow.

It looks just like a toddler has been trailing around everywhere on the deck So cute.

Brenda, I was at Disney when all those statues were in front of the Magic Kingdom. It was sure cool to see.

I know that there is one of them in the Joe Louis Arena in Detroit. I saw it there a couple years ago when I went for a show.

oh that's cool...Vanessa's was titled "It was all started by a Mouse"...was just the bronze statue that had him holding a filmstrip with different movie cells....i'll post it again sometime soon....she was only about 18-19 when she designed it....her mom & i are good friends, Jen & I ususally do a girls only dis trip with the two of them once a year...

This may be the first January coming up in 10 years that we have not gone south to get away from the winter for a bit.

Why not go on a land vacation instead of that cruise???

Buying 4 days and getting 3 more for free isn't a bad deal at all Robin~

It's purty freakin cold here too...

I stayed inside all day. John took the dogs out a few times, they couldn't get enough of it. Kinda like your cat Robin. The older dog acted like she'd never played in snow before. For as much as Penny hates the rain, she loooves the snow.

I still wanna be an imagineer when I grow up. I'm hoping to take an engineering course (computer based) that would totally enhance my art and photography background towards my goal, doncha think?

Our little Holly dog is NOT a snow baby! She LOVES the warm weather and when we spent a winter in Pennsylvania, she did not enjoy herself!

Not all of those past 10 January's have been cruises, some have just been Florida vacations.

Hello TKers,
I have been running around like a chicken with my head cut off!

We had company for Sat. and my son used our trailer for a hunting camp, on Friday night with his two eldest boys..hunted all Sat.(no deer)..

Mike has had Friday off and today too...Then next week he does a half day on Thursday, and off Friday, then has the next two weeks off...(mandatory shut down)

DH and I got our tree put up yesterday, as the girls stayed home and their whole family decorated gingerbread houses..Jodi(their Mom) made SEVEN of them during the week... ..I bet that was quite the job!..I cant wait to see how they all turned out!

We are going to try to finish up our Christmas shopping today...I hope being a Monday it wont be to crowded...

I have started on my cards and have gotten a few out already, but have more to do..I try to get to a few at a time inbetween other things Im trying to get done..(ie: decorating, shopping, babysitting, entertaining)

...ALOT better then some of the ones we have had...I could take better pictures then them...Some of our pics from them had a huge open space on one side and almost cut off one of the girls on the other...in every pic he took!

Hi Threadkillers!

I hope ya'll are having a nice day. I received a bunch of Christmas cards today (I LOVE when that happens) and 2 of them are from my Threadkiller friends...thank you!

I also made a really great pork roast tonight by Chef Anne Burrell. It had fresh Rosemary, Sage and Garlic made into a paste with Olive oil. Roasted until just done it was moist, juicy and tender...which I always have trouble with when it comes to pork. Hers said to make ON the bone and cut off...but I already had one OFF the bone and it was awesome!

Anyway, it's been since Thanksgiving since I've done any sort of heavy and/or new cooking (I don't count turkey soup), so it was a blast!

At least you could take a nice chunk of time off and just hang around home and attempt to relax

Maybe do some local day trips or take shorter vacations to spots closer to home?

I'm sure you can find something to do with that vacation time.
