Cally - i can't get an Iphone because i need to stay with Verizon, but my Ipod was stolen (i'm really bummed because it was the U2 version with all their signatures that is no longer available....) so i thought about getting the Itouch to replace it....but decided to get a nano so i could 'sync' my Nike runnings shoes with it....it's all very cool...there's a chip that you insert into special Nike shoes & after your run or walk - you download that to your computer & it tracks your mileage - calories burned etc....technology...GOTTA LOVE IT!!!!

I photographed a skateboard competition at a concert called the Warped Tour. It's cool cause I get to see all the kids I know from the skatepark and get to watch and capture some incredibly talented athletes from the front row~

Thanks everyone for all the Birthday wishes...

I had a great day,...The weather was perfect...

Mike took the day off and we went shopping, had lunch at the Red Lobster, and then later, the family came over for pizza, and we had cake and ice cream..

Albert gave me a Wii game for my birthday..( he's such a thoughful dog...LOL)
Mike was going to get me either a SLR digital camera, or a DVHD video camera...He asked me, which Id like. Im leaning toward the video camera, but I really dont need it until we go to hawaii, so I figure I should wait, as that trip isnt until sept. 09 and they may come out with something better before then
So Im thinking to just sock that money away until I need it...

Not sure what we are doing today....
How about you all?....

Well for now Im off to grab another cup of coffee

I'm SO sorry I wasn't on-line yesterday to offer you timely birthday wishes! I've been busy. I'm currently making Cheddar Grits Bread. I think it will be a good recipe - it's new. But, being from the south, I love grits and I love cheese! Add homemade bread with that - you can't lose!

Robin - as always - thanks for remembering the birthdays!

I'm currently going over the dining reservations I need to make for the sister's trip in November. It looks like we'll have b'fast at the Grand Floridian Cafe twice (it's easy - we're staying there) Do the Brown Derby, LaCellier (or Bistro de Paris as an alternate) and the California Grill for our dinners. We're going to do a burger & fries one night and check our Jelly Rolls one night. I LOVE dueling pianos! Other than that - we'll do easy counter service.

I just need to get together with Mary & Susan to make sure it works for everyone (I'm going with Extra Magic Hours based on which park to go to & make reservations) so it shoud work out.

Mary comes home from her cruise tomorrow and Susan & her husband are livin' the dreamin Colorado. Susan's DH climbed a small mountain (14000 ft) the other day with a friend...how cool is that?!

Gotta scoot. Need to check the cheese grits to see if they're cool enough to go to the next phase!

well we only walked about 13 miles today....one of my team members who was with me today had sprained her ankle pretty bad a couple of wks ago playing volleyball - i think we went too far today & she got really sore & couldn't walk...fortunately we were able to find a spot where we could get her off the trail to sit & rest...i went on without her back to the car & then went & picked her up...she's supposed to do the 10K with me & some others tomorrow...we'll see how it goes....

well DH & I are leaving soon for our dinner date

Brenda, that's pretty cool what the new nano can do. I didn't know that...I have a nano... how do you do that? Between Raj and I we have a nano, a mini, and classic ipod.... what can I say? We like Apple... haha We're about to get macs...we have been converted.

Did you know the Itouch can do everything the phone can do but call....oh yea but it only uses wifi

Anyhoo... we're watching Peter Pan with the kids right now.. it's on ABC. They are showing behind the scenes of the new Tinkerbell movie.... I love it!!!

Moronic customers who go ahead and CHANGE everything on all their servers...and then everything stops working, and I have to figure out what they did!!!!!
Out of 5 MAJOR problems last night, I figured out 4! It even took the high level guys at Hewlitt Packard 8 hours to figure out how bad the messed up the other problem. Unnnnnnnbelivable.

Whew....I was worried! It's been slow and quiet here today, too. Although I have to say I did make a nice pork stew - new recipe - with tomatoes, onions, peppers, garlic & sweet potatoes. Yummy!

I think DH and I are going to watch Citizen Kane tonight and relax some more. Robin - sounds like a lovely day. CADZ - were you walking in Santa Cruz, or was it part of your date? DU - I'm glad you stood up & were counted

Thanks for the Birthday wishes!

It was a beautiful weekend here...

On Sat. I decided to go out and use the money Mike was going to spend for my camera and buy a new couch( we have been needing one for a few years now).He didnt think it should be a birthday present, but I told him that is what Ive been wanting,and Im home more than anyone...So it IS for me more then anybody else...Right?...LOL

Anyway..Its a lovely dark brown leather couch, it goes nicely with our leather recliner...and I also bought a coffee/ottoman table set...
The coffee table has a firm leather cushion on it to put your feet up on, and two wooden shelves that slid out of the sides for drinks...Its really nice!
You dont even need the shelves, if you have a nice tray to place on it..
and with the cushion I dont have to worry about the kids scratching the table top.... It also came with two end tables..Id say the wood is cherry...I think..a nice dark wood...
Anyway I really like it all alot!...

How did the little guy do outside...I bet he had a blast!....Did he stay close?
By the way anytime you feel like coming to visit...I'll save all my weeds for you...I would want you to feel right at home ya know!...LOL

Im going to start taking water aerobics at a local gym. I'll be going Mondays, and Fridays, 9AM...It should be fun!
and they will be starting a spinning class in the fall Im thinking of joining!

For now Im on my way to my treadmill!, which we moved into the extra room .So now I have my bedroom back... AND I can now look out into the yard as I walk...before, all I got to look at was a wall...YUCK!

She mainly stuck around the yard but would wander a bit every now and again.

She did come back on her own though and if something scared her she hightailed it right back to the yard.

Ann - yes we were "walking" in the Wharf to Wharf race in Santa Cruz yesterday a.m. - (but not DH...he doesn't do anything like that)...one of the gals on my team for the breast cancer walk & her friends & family walked with me...
Betsy....we did the 6.2 miles in about 1 hr 50 mins...should have been 1 hr 30 mins...but with her baby stroller & the stops we made along the way...it took us a longer than our usual pace...or my usual pace anyway...Mojgan does walk a little slower...but she's pregnant & is still recovering from a badly sprained ankle....we definitely had a GREAT time though!!! Congrats on your new furniture!!! how fun is that!
