We'll just celebrate DU's birthday all week! . I mean, after all, 20 is a very big deal!!!

I made the grocery list for my husband this morning....God Bless that man..he does all the grocery shopping... I decided I would double the recipe for the sweet potato casserole, because 6 large potatoes didn't sound like enough they'll be lots of us at my sisters!). I had him buy 12. Oh my goodness, I had no idea how big a large sweet potato is So I will just make a single size casserole and will have baked sweet potatoes for lunch this week! (Thank goodess, I love sweet potatoes)

PD, Liz made sweet potato slices (sort of like french fries) in the oven last week and they were very yummy.

I'm not sure what she put on them but I could ask her.

They were a big hit with everyone.

I'm pretty sure the DU's birthday is tomorrow.

It is the day before our missing in action 's birthday.

Oh I make sweet potato fries too. It's a favorite. I just figure baked is healthier than the very delicious fried sweet potatoes! Oh you said she made them in the oven, I could try that!

DH just finished installing new DW... had to have that before 18 ppl on thursday....also finished addressing my Xmas cards today...and i think i finished my Xmas shopping except for some frames for some of Ry's photos....

All caught up now...wow those recipes DO LOOK GOOD....will have to try some of them....TG is here, but i only have to do the turkey/stuffing & the rice...YEP....gotta have traditional white rice with TG dinner...well EVERY dinner come to think of it

Xmas will be at SIL's so maybe i'll try those party potatoes - they sound really really good!!! Since we leave pretty early on the 26th for FL didn't want to do much for the Christmas holiday (not even sure if we're going to get a tree???)

Well as you know, St Francis made it to the playoffs - their 1st ever in 3 yrs of a FB program - very very exciting!!! but unfortunately lost that game, so was the last night of FB for Ry & other seniors...sad / emotional ending, but still SO VERY PROUD!!! He would normally go right into basketball, but has decided not to play sport this season...he has a lot going on right now anyway; starts his diving classes 12/01 so he can be certified by cruise time.

Guess i should go give the new dishwasher a try....can't even believe the motor went on our old one (which was only 6 yrs old).....uggghhh - oh well

Hi CADZ! Sounds like you and I are about neck-and-neck! I finished my Christmas shopping and my card were done last week! Like you, I'm having a ton of folks for Thanksgiving (19 of them). That's where the similarity ends...I'm cooking the entire dinner - soup to nuts! I've gone on Facebook...

DU - Happy Birthday for tomorrow - I know you're gonna have a GREAT 20th birthday (don't fib about your age).

OMG Ann - that IS a LOT of work...well my sister in law's & daughter all bring a dish & my BIL's parents are also coming, so she's baking the pies...it's definitely a combined effort...but i do have to clean the house - guess i'll do that Wed afternoon

Extreme Home Makeover is 95% done....I is too tired to figure out what the other 5% is left to do.

Did ALL the Thanksgiving shopping today. Took 3 stores to get everything needed....Thin Mints, My-T-Finee pudding,(of all things) Idaho and POTATO's were the hardest things to find.

Re; Moms Christmas present...Found a Local Breeder who breeds Bichon Poos. Gonna go see them on Tuesday. Funny she asked what I was looking for...so I said small, make & creamed colored....THAT IS EXCATLY what she has available. We will see.

What I had was some sort of peppermint pattie that had pieces of candy cane in it (I think).

I think I still have the box around, just in case I find some again.

Everytime I go to the US I look but so far no luck finding any.

I thank you very much though for thinking of me and looking while you were out.

Some day, we just might find some
