DU - Congrats on your new doggy....Elvis! He's adorable. I can understand your frustration with the carpet. My carpet was cleaned today and I'm feeling your pain!

TW - how did your cheesecake firm up?

Robin - are you going to have a mini Thanksgiving in Canada in solidarity with your Threadkiller friends? Or just a regular day for you?

Well, today's been a productive day. So far we have Party Potatoes, Sweet Potato Casserole (partially baked to keep the eggs safe), & Cranberry Sauce made as well as a garlic cheese, pesto & tomato torte for an appetizer.

The cheesecake and dinner rolls come out of the freezer tomorrow. I'm also making 2 Coconut Cream pies tomorrow and Ambrosia Salad. Then I only have 2 casseroles (homemade Mac & cheese and corn casserole) to make on Thanksgiving day and a veggie.

Nephew has the turkeys thawing in his fridge and I picked up a Honeybaked Ham today.

I also ironed all the table clothes and napkins and rolled the silverware in the napkins and tied them off with a festive ribbon and we've put all the furniture back from the carpet being cleaned!

I know ya'll are busy with your preps....whatcha ya doin'? I just LOVE the details! (can you tell?)

So...it's gonna be an early night for me. My day tomorrow starts early.

My preparations are nothing like yours girl...

I made sure I have enough plates and silverware and started the repairs to my dining table so I can use both leafs. My cheesecake looks like it firmed up perfectly~I am amazed for as bad a cook as I am, Ima pretty good baker~

I knew you could do it! A lot of people are intimidated by cheesecake, but this recipe is fairly easy and really good. Baking is truly a talent of it's own...you should try more stuff!

It sounds like you're busy, too! I have both leafs in my table and it seats 12, but I still need to attach a 2nd table to fit everyone...there's just something wrong with that!

Ann, there is nothing wrong with having to add another table to seat everyone.

That is a great thing.

That means that you have a wonderful group of family and/or friends to be with you and to share your life with you.

What more can you ask for :confused3
