Good Morning Threadkillers....
GOOD NEWS to share...my DD got "engaged" last night...and i guess my 'SIL to be' REALLY DID IT RIGHT....from working with a jeweler 2 mos ago having her ring custom designed to planning a very romantic dinner on their new property where they are building their dream house. She had to fly off to Iowa early this a.m. for her Great Grandfather's funeral, so i haven't even seen the ROCK...but will post photos when she returns...it sounds amazing though!

Yes he got over that...BUT only because he DIDNT get picked for the Drama club! They SUGGESTED he join the Stage Crew instead!

Needless to say HS is going downhill for him lately!

He had to memorize a Jerry Seinfeld Stand Up routine for his audition! He aint got the timing down.

DU - I'm sorry James didn't make the drama team...chin up. High school either (a) gets better or (b) ends after your senior year! No matter what, there is a light at the end of the tunnel!

Well, I went to my MAC class today - there's lots of little tidbits to learn and the class is well worth it. I'm off to cake decorating class now. I frosted & filled the cake last night....I think it's gonna be a winner! I'll try to remember to take a picture!

Good Morning Threadkillers!

CADZ - did you get to see your DD's engagement ring? Did you take a picture? We want to see, too!

I finally uploaded my most recent photos. The iMac makes it SO easy.... The first set is the ravioli I made a month or so ago. The filling is prosciutto, fresh mozzarella, parmesan & basil. Here goes:

The next is the cake I made and then decorated last night. It's a chocolate cake 2 layers cut in half to make 4 layers. The three layers of filling inside are cheesecake rather than frosting. The frosting is a new recipe, an AMAZING chocolate fudge. I had a hard time frosting the cake, I just wanted to sit down with a spoon! I had some rose trouble, but these were my first and they're gonna take some practice! I'm headed to Mary's today so they can eat it - my DH isn't a cake person!

I gotta get hoppin' if I'm gonna head out by 9:30! Take care and I'll chat with ya'll later!

Its gonna be a pain Im sure, but when its done...Im sure you will be happy you did it....

...I have been doing a makeover in my house for the last TEN years....Its ongoing...We do what we can when we have the extra money....BUT we also make sure we do our vacations...My house will always be sitting there ...My life, is always getting shorter...I will enjoy it while I can...

We are having rain today, and I have to take my mom to the doctors....
He will just wait in the car...Its the only thing I like about the cooler weather..He gets to come with me now instead of having to stay home...He loves riding in the car....

I agree with Betsy. Ann, Your roses look really, really good!
I think I said, I've watched how to make them and getting a good rose is really, really hard.

Penny is ok today. Nowadays when she gets scared, I just go straight to the bathroom and put a towel down in the tub and put her in it. If I don't she tries to climb behind EVERYTHING!

John thinks I am crazy when it comes to leaving Penny in the car. I won't. Ever. She really doesn't like to be left and I would feel guilty leaving her. Even to go into the store. If she goes with me it's because I'm either going somewhere she can go in or like when I take Britt to a friend's house and I know I'm not getting out of the car.

Betsy, when you are ready to search for airfare just holler if you need the name of the search site again. Have you booked the second hotel yet?
