My kids don;t have school today, so I decided to take the day off and sleep in. You can see how well that workked out. The dog decided he needed to go out at 5:20am! That never happens! Now I am tired but just cannot get back to sleep!

Hello my Threadkillers!

busy week again for me...visiting schools and unemployment is taking up soooo much of my time lately I'm taking a sanity trip for myself again today...after I apply to an office up the street, again, I'm headed to the Disney outlet in Jackson NJ! My friend (Lori) that's going to WDW in October with her girls needs a good day bag for the parks. I'm taking a ride to Jackson cause our local store didn't have anything worthy for her.

Hello my TKer friends...

Sorry I have been MIA alot lately..

Mike has been taking Mondays off....His job has new management, and its now mandatory to use all his vaca day befor the end of the year, and he has alot he hasnt used...He also has put in for a week off at Thanksgiving time, and a week at Christmas time...the co. is shutting down completely for a week at Christmas, so that gives Mike two weeks off for the christmas time...
Too bad we cant go anywhere, but thats OK....It will be nice just to spend the time with Mike...even home!

Well the foyer is all tiled and very pretty if I do say so myself....

You sound like you are having a blast with your cake decorating....I am not great at decorating cakes...I cant even write happy birthday without it looking like a 10 year old did it...LOL
I am embarrassed to say I usually buy my birthday cakes at the bakery anymore...

My favorite Paul Newman movie........1) Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid
( I just love the line in the movie with Sundance worried when they have to jump off the cliff....because he cant swim, and Butch laughs and says "Hell the falls gonna kill ya"...LOL)
followed by 2)The Sting...Both GREAT movies...
I cant remember if I have seen Cat on a hot tin roof or not....
When I was a youngster, I really thought Robert Redford was THE hottie of his day...But Paul Newman was no slouch either......with those incredible blue eyes...

Well Im off to watch Dancing with the stars(DVRed)....doesnt look as its going to be as good as last season....but Ill give it a few more shows...to see if it improves...

Its been really cold here at night(low 40s) and not very warm during the day(60s)..So the trees are getting quite colorful already...I have also started to hear geese flying south ...So Im guessing its time to say goodbye to summer, and start taking in plants and storing lawn furniture

Good Morning TKers

Im going to get my hair cut and colored today...Im not sure if Ill get my normal highlights or do the whole head....The highlights give me more time between jobs, but it has gotten to the point where its not covering all my grays ...but if I do the whole head color...Im going to have to go back alot sooner to redo... ..
I was also thinking of getting a shorter cut, but I think Ill keep my long hair for now...too chicken for the shorter...

Well I have been busy getting a condo lined up in Hana, Maui..I have talked to the owners and looked at all the pictures...and as soon as I get them the deposit..Ill have it reserved for threes nights...It looks like my dates are going to be..the 21stof Sept.(Robins birthday )-the 1st of Oct.
We will get our flight to Maui on Sept 21stFind a place to stay for one night close to the airport, then drive to Hana, on the east side of Maui....Stay in Hana the 22nd-25th then stay on the west side of Maui, at the kaanapali Beach Hotel(I still have to reserve here)for the last 6 nights....

I am so worried about getting a good price on flights..I havent booked an airline flight for myself since 1989, when I had to go to Fla. because my dad was in the hosp...This is when he died...So I took what I got at the time...I remember I paid 600.00 for a round trip ticket.
any advice on finding good deals?...

I got her the Sleeping Beauty outfit from the Disneystore.com which cost a bit in shipping but it will be worth it to see DD's face when she opens it.

Yeah DP... I feel very fortunate that there are 3 Disney Stores within 30 miles of me still...

I still visit Disneystore .com ALOT! If anything, the .com tells me when the stuff I want is on clearance - what I save in shipping I spend in Gas I found a Disney Princess (Aurora) backpack for my friend Lori for $7.99! She is a blonde too so I felt Aurora to be more appropriate then Ariel or Jasmine. I splurged a little on Lori and her girls...I got the 3 of them matching Pooh tees too (they were only $5 and $6 each.) The lanyards and autograph books and pens I bought them from The Laughing Place should be here soon and I am adding 1 pin for each of them to get their collections started

The humidity is finally gone! We had a storm roll thru around midnight last night (poor Penny puppy was so scared, she slept in the tub all night! I put a towel down for her so it's comfy) Come on Fall!

It's a yahoo search engine that'll give you multiple venues for low prices. My tip for this --- after you find the lowest price, call that airline directly and you may be able to knock a few more pennies off the price. My other tip --- go the extra step after finding the low prices. Click on book it to see what extra charges will be added on. The airlines hide their fees in the second step. There are three or four steps before you purchase so clicking book it WILL NOT lock you in.

For example: Cheapo Air has awesome prices but they also have exhorbitant fees. I found a $80 fare to Orlando and clicked book it...their fees were an additional $79!!!

Getting it painted from head to toe, Having a cleaning service come iin for the DELUXE treatment, Getting new carpets & floors. Having a Moving chair put on the stairs, getting Mom a hospital bed, and having the Bathroom...handicap updated!!!!

Now doing this with them still in the house is a logistical nightmare! BUT it gotta be done!

Calling the Dr for a fresh supply of Xanax!

That is quite a challenge! Tom and I were supposed to get wood floors, but we got the computer instead. We could live with the carpet (it's only 8 years old and just the two of us - still looks new) but we could NOT live without a computer!

Good luck. I imagine you'll be very happy with the convenience the upgrades provide when they're complete.

I hope you xanax is colored like m&ms to match whatever your mood is!

Good Morning Threadkillers....
GOOD NEWS to share...my DD got "engaged" last night...and i guess my 'SIL to be' REALLY DID IT RIGHT....from working with a jeweler 2 mos ago having her ring custom designed to planning a very romantic dinner on their new property where they are building their dream house. She had to fly off to Iowa early this a.m. for her Great Grandfather's funeral, so i haven't even seen the ROCK...but will post photos when she returns...it sounds amazing though!
