Hi Threadkillers!

Welcome back Robin! I hope your airplane/camping weekend was tons-o-fun! I'm SO sorry to hear about Alex. It sounds like he may be having Gall Bladder problems. We've had a rash of that in our family in the last 5 years....4 family members have had their gall bladder removed. The youngest was 20! I hope he's feeling well and they find out and take care of the problem quickly.

I'm off and running early. The Pepsi's are on sale for $1.99 a twelve pack, so I'm off to buy the sodas for the weekend's party for SWHNN....plus a few for my DH (not me, I'm a Coke drinker!)

Welcome Home Robin....did you have FUN?????? Really looking forward to my trip to Iowa - sad it's such a short one this year...it's the only time i really get to see my Mom & sisters....I think next year - i'm going to take Ryan & go earlier in the season so i can spend MORE time there.

really hope they find out & FIX whatever is going on with Alex!!! Good luck with all of that

Morning all.

A 20 year old having their gall bladder out doesn't sound right does it.

I'm sure you've got your Pepsi bargains already Ann but do you want to go back and get some Diet Pepsi for me

The airplane weekend went fairly well. The weather was not always the greatest and the mosquitos were awful but other than that, whose complaining

Where we were was beside a sand and gravel pit, mainly sand. Yikes was it ever gritty and dirty there. It was windy so there was sand EVERYWHERE!!

We had loved the new trailer.

We had a couple problems with it when we got it back home though.

When we opened the slide outs to get the planes out the guys noticed that the sink hose was broken It was fine all weekend but must have kinked when we closed up the trailer.

Also when they put out the slide out on one side of the trailer it got caught on a chair and it now stuck halfway out

Guess some repairs have to made before the next trip.

Brenda, I see that you snuck in while I was typing.

I don't know if I would like only see my Mom that little.

I wouldn't say that I had fun really because I was just sort of there while the guys were doing their airplane competition.

Oh yeah, by the way they both managed to win first place in their categories

Rick thought his plane was broken badly after a really hard landing on Saturday but they managed to get it functional enough to finish the competition on Sunday.

Hi everyone!

I got 28 twelve packs! Most of them are for the party. I picked up some prescriptions for my parents and then did their grocery shopping. I'm here at the house ready to vacuum and dust.

Sorry you had pull out problems, Robin. I hope they can be easily repaired.

Betsy - nice pics. The aquarium ones remind me of the movie poster "Fear & Loathing in Las Vegas".

Robin, honestly, not that I know of...

her girlfriend got two stars similar to Britt's only in a different place and I think Alyssa's are purple. Brittany wants to put lyrics to a John Lennon song (I was still reeling from the stars when she told me so I don't remember what song) in between the stars.

I know she knows that's gonna hurt cause she couldn't raise her arms to get something off the fridge yesterday. SHe said she was sore all thru both shoulders afterwards.

I hope Alex is headed to the doctor soon, no matter what's causing it~

I think this weekend will be a lot of fun. It's been 5 years since we've done one of these. The temps are in the low 90ºs today. The fires are a bit south of us - enough that we're not getting any effects.

I hope Brits shoulders are okay. Pain is the MAIN reason I don't get any tatoos.

Money is the main reason I don't have any~

I'd rather spend my money at Disney...

My kids know the' "you know that's forever right?" Conversation...they do what they want and are fully driven by their environment. Guess who is good friends with people who run the tattoo, piercing place down the road

Money is a reason for me, too! I'd rather spend it at Disney, on something I can cook with or a book. I guess everyone has their hobbies. DH has a friend that has a tattoo shop (he asked him if he wanted to be a body piercer - THAT'S another story!) and said he'd give me a rock-bottom price, but pain STILL steps in the way!

Tatoos are something that I have absolutely no desire to ever have.

It has nothing to do with pain nor the money involved

I just don't find them to be attractive at all.

Personal preference only.

I always wonder how people might regret what they did, later in life

No it's not just a Philly thing it is very common here also.

My niece has a huge amount of piercings and a few tatoos.

That still doesn't mean that I have to like them

I personally don't find any of it attractive.

Again that is only my OWN personal preference.

there's an 'older' woman at the gym who has quite a few tattoos in many different areas... (Colleen - trust me - there are PLENTY of tattoos & piercings around here - it's BIG in Cali too)!!!....but i have to tell ya that this woman obviously got these tattoos MANY MANY years ago....and they don't look sooo good anymore - leave that all up to your imagination. but you can't tell an 18 or 19 y/o that....so yep you just have to let them make those choices....when my niece got all her piercings i wasn't too sure i wanted her around Ryan too much (didn't want him to get any ideas) AND then she got that huge tattoo....& it ended up just being a conversation about the forever thing etc. - at 17 he hasn't expressed too much interest in either...maybe an ear piercing....which i would be okay with....& that is something he can wear to school - ear lobes only - no other piercings...no tattoos - no facial hair....LOVE that school!!!
