Morning all! Belated Happy Birthday Cally!

We went to NYC yesterday with a middle school band trip to see "Wicked". We had about 2 1/2 hours free time so we went to the Hershey Store, the M&M store, World of Disney, The American Girl Store, H&M and a few street vendors. DD(14) decided she wanted to walk rather than take a cab, because she thought the cab would be uncomfortable with her leg brace.
When we got to the theater and everyone was comparing notes on what they did with the free time, others went to like 2 stores right by the theater. They couldn't believe what we did.....amateurs!

On Saturday DD(12) went on a school Kayaking trip for the day. They were all beginners so learned all the basics iand safety rules in the morning and then went Kayaking in the afternoon. DD loved it and apparently it came quite naturally to her....I don't know where she got that mutant gene from but was so glad to see her try something new and absolutely love it.

I just love where we live. I think it is great that my kid can have a Kayaking field trip in the middle of no where one day and a trip Manhattan to see a Broadway show the next!

Cruisin~ now that you have done your Dad's walk 2 hour exercise program, you are ready to come to the big city with us!

DU~ only you could have a blessing from the Pope turn into a Hex!!!

Although with 4 aging parents to deal with from the ages of 72 to turning 80 this year, I think the next 10 years are going to be very eventful around here

I always hated the blessing of the throats. I think the priest gently places the canles on the necks of the adults and then used lots of pressure on the teens to keep us in line. I think it hurt and then as an adult it was gentle!

I didnt know you got to go to a midnight mass at the vatican!....I thought I was a lucky one to just be able to GO there and see it.....BUT a midnight mass, must have been pretty awsome!...

It was a busy weekend for me...a fun one though!
On my shopping day I was in target, and Low and behold there IT was...
I thought I was dreaming...So I rubbed my eyes and looked again...
AND I wasnt ...It was really sitting there...as a matter of fact it had two others sitting right next to it!...


YES...After looking since, before last Christmas, I finally found a Wii in stock! YEA!
WELL, I must tell you ...IT IS FUN!.....But ...I also must say, Im one sore OLD lady!...LOL!..Its great exercise!..

Also it was the twins first communion...They were so cute in there white dresses!...
AND we celebrated Julias birthday on Sunday, because her birthday is on Wed. and it just too hard midweek for a party!...
We got her a surpent neckless from Disney's pirates collection. She loved it! All the girls are also getting money for their birthday, to use on the trip.

Brittanys is while we are there( the 26th), and Ambers is two days after mine in July(the 27th).

Well Im now off to mow...

i like to plan FAR FAR in advance...& then just throw a trip or two in now & then for fun - but those are usually quick trips down to DL...not too much planning needed for those....just find a hotel~

PD - sounds like you live in just the right area of NY...that's pretty much how i feel about this part of CA...north of Carmel / Monterey a 1/2 hr; an hr so. of San Francisco for shows / dining / sports -a couple of hrs west of Yosemite - 5 hrs from the snow (when we want that kind of weather) & only 4.5 hrs north of Mickey!

I went to the dollar store first and found lots of good stuff there.

Then I went to Walmart and picked up some more things.

After tommorrow night I am off for a week, and then I can pretty much work every day until i go on vacation 6/30!!!!!
It is BEDLAM HERE!

The ONE good thing is...If I live...threw the next 2 months at work...I will be going to WDW for 2 weeks without using any vacation time!

Just dont know when things will slow down here!

Hi everyone!

It's been days and days since I posted, but I AM caught up. Happy Belated Birthday to Cally. It sounds like everyone has been really busy.

I'm off to the card shop for Mother's day cards. I can't believe I need to buy cards. I have 9 file drawers FULL of cards and 2 boxes FULL of boxed notes and not ONE mother's day card in there. You would think I had enough cards to last....

If they don't get in the mail today, I may be late on some of them...so I'm off!
