Can't wait to see the finished project.

I went out and picked up a bit of food for the house this afternoon.

It is actually quite warm out but there is also a tornado watch to go with it:sad2:

Tornado Watch!:scared1: :scared1: :scared1: Stay safe!

Wanna see why my hands are swollen today?!?!

I've been pecking away at an ivy garden we have on the side of the house. It's taken me (literally) ten years to get to this point but I am soooo happy with the result~

Here is the patch I've been working on about two weeks ago...

Here is where I'd gotten it to just prior to yesterday~

and here it is today!

John is bringing me home more slate to fill in the center. I am sooo happy with how it turned out. I still have about five feet of Ivy garden to get rid of but now we can pull our big charcoal grill around and have it by the other side door~

Perhaps someone should stop over my house, and start over here.:rolleyes1

It was rainy, dreary and in the 50s here too, but it felt cold...that raw rainy cold! UGH!

I worked then DD(!6) and I went out to dinner. Back home now. DD12 has a friend stayingover and DD14 is staying over a friends house. She is on crutches again. She was running at track practice on Wednesday afternoon and her knee just locked up when she was running! Pediatrician had us get xrays, nothings broken, but this is the same knee she sprained about 2 months ago. The injury is in a different are around the knee, and the doctor says seeing as she is an athlete, she doesn't want to just let her go 2 weeks with crutches. She referred us to an orthopedic group that works alot with athletes and teen-agers. She has an appointment for Tuesday afternoon. Her first track meet was yesterday, and obviously she couldn't run. She is a sprinter and it's not just Mama pride saying that she is speedy. She usually takes first at the meets, but she always finishes in the top 3. Her 4 x 100 relay was undefeated last year! She was so sad! I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it is nothing serious!

I hope nothing is seriously wrong and she has a speedy recovery! Tell her all your kooky friends from the internet are pulling for her!

Hi Ann!

I too am really sad about your Dad...if my kids think dealing with the Dog is hard, they ain't seen nothing yet :( Getting Old really isn't for the weak. I was about my kids' age when my Grandmother and John's Grandmother both passed from Cancer. That! Was hard~

Hi Betsy!

My projects are going very well, thank you :)

...here's a little example of how this one has changed...

Remember the first one I showed you?

Here is the new and improved version....and probably the one I will hand in~

Selfcomp1.jpg

and here is the alternative version....I like this one but am told it's harder to see the detail for someone who doesn't "know" the photos in it like I do~

SelfComp2.jpg

I printed this last one out and started coloring it like a coloring book page ::yes::

We are not "totally green" in our house but I make a very valiant effort ::yes::

My daughter is vegetarian by choice. (Not exactly organic but close-she thinks she's saving the animals)

We recycle EVERYTHING that can be...my motivation would be the three dumps I see growing around us. Tullytown PA, Bordentown NJ and Columbus NJ all have one. Tullytown is the biggest and is right across the Deleware from us in PA. Bordentown has been there all my life, the joke was how bad the high school smelled cause it was right up the road from the dump. Columbus is the newest and is actually a study site for Rutger's University.

When I get rid of anything big like furniture or clothing or anything non biodegradeable it's thru resale or donation - I NEVER throw that stuff in a garbage can.

Pic got me trippen dudette!:hippie:

:thumbsup2

PD, hope your daughter's knee recovers quickly.

It's not fun for them when they have to sit out when they really want to be in the action:guilty:

Thanks for all the PD for my DD Tkers!

Last night when I went to bed the weather forecast for today was rainy and in the 40s. It did rain last night, but this morning at 7:00am I woke up to sunshine. Forecast changed to Sunny and 70!:woohoo: :woohoo: We had snow in our yard from Christmas until we got home from WDW a couple of weeks ago, then lots of rain....so today I finally got to clean up 3 1/2 months of Buddy waste from my backyard! My yard is finally poop free!:cool1: :cool1: :cool1: I know too much info...but sometimes things like this are VERY exciting!

Good Afternoon TK'ers!

FINALLY after 3 weeks of (at best 4 hours sleep at a time0 got me a goooooooood nights sleep ....Went to sleep at midnight 7 James acctually woke me up at 11:30!

Gonna go pick up my taxes from my accountant and get my car washed (it is discusting)

It is beeeeeeeeeeeeeautiful weather here today!

:confused3 Where is everybody today?

Just went to see "LeatherHeads". :thumbsup2 I liked it.

Good Morning Thread Killers & Lurkers Alike!

I scanned back a couple of pages....dang!

Hello HollyAnn! :cool1: I wish you all the best with your Dad and will say prayers for his health.

Ahoy Cruisin' ! :boat:

I shuddered at the news of Rick's friends demise....

To TiggerWanaBe :rose: ...your projects are coming along....lots-o-talent!

It was a joy to read that you got a clean bill of health DalPal Our GalPal princess: .... I can only imagine the concern you had while awaiting the test results.... I think we should have a cookie to celebrate!

MIA? Me? :santa:

I just get busy doing this or that sometimes....and certainly ...haven't had to face the trials and trbulations some of you TK-ers were facing while I was ...as you call it....MIA....

but in my own way of trying to cheer you up....and at the same time...let you know what I've been up to...let me share a couple of my own life experiences... I won't bore you with the results of opening day of PA trout season yesterday....except to tell you my one Grandson hauled in a 30 inch Northern Pike.....a story already a family legend...

but anyway....

I have a new assistant...a nice young Lady named Dawn....a pleasant enough person....one of those always bubbly types....

she came in Friday announcing "Happy Spring" to one and all...

she was dressed for spring....bright colors....etcetera etecetera....

BUT! she had on these shoes....her toes hung out....and each big toe.... had an eyeball painted on the nail...

oh...ok...that's cool....

EXCEPT! those darned toe-eyes were like those busts in the Haunted Mansion! Everywhere I went...the toe-eyes followed my every move....

If I went to the left...they looked to the left....If I stood up...they gazed up....

I tried turning my back on the toe-eyes...but when I turned around...ayup...they were staring at me!

I'm a fair hand with a frisbee....so...I got some of these cardboard coasters out of the cupboard....

I tried slinging the coasters to cover the toe-eyes when Dawn wasn't looking...but the toe-eyes saw! They moved just enough that I missed!

so much for Plan A.....

Plan B: I called my Niece who works for an optometrist....I asked her if she had any small frames..... I explained that I was hoping she could make a pair
of sunglasses to cover a pair of toe-eyes....

I can STILL hear her laughing.....

Plan C involved juggling a stapler, a gavel and an aerosol can of orange paint....everytime I purposely dropped the paint...the toe-eyes scurried under the chair.... the clever little so-and-so's.....

Turning on the A/C and leaving a pair of socks in plain view didn't work either...all that did was make my ripple ring cold.....

So TK-ers....barring a snowstorm....I expect I'll be haunted by these toe-eyes until the paint wears off....I have no idea how long that can be....

episode 2, as you will see, is not my fault...it's the GrandKids fault....

I was showing off for them....juggling a rubber ball, a pint "Ball" canninng jar and a Sponge Bob Toy from the Burger King....

I was asked...and I quote.."Papa, can you get the rubber ball IN the canning jar while you're juggling?"

I really do have to declare my innocence on this one....don't you agree?
