eeh! She didnt show up until 10, and left at 1:30 (I had a whole 2 hr nap). But she said...She sees what I am talking about. Nice to be validated!
Unfortunately they dont qualify for any financial help....BUT she gave me names of agencies that charge only 13.00 a hour, and you can just have them comes like 2 hours a day, every day....whatever. Not bad.

BUT of course da parents DONT see a need for it!


Anyhoooooooo I came to report big news. Makenzie has said her 2nd word (first being 'dada') the word is 'ISH-NEEEEEE" she stands in front of the TV and screams "ISH-Nee"...this means she want the Disney channel on. She is a Hnnah Montana freakazoid....Dances throught the WHOLE show!

Could you maybe find some sort of nursing student or maybe, well here we call them Personal Support Workers, don't know what they are called there.

Someone who takes a course and helps people with their day to day simple living tasks such as dressing, light cooking and housekeeping and stuff.

If you could find someone like that to come in you could probably pay them less than 13 bucks an hour

Thanks! it was great...had a good turnout (100+) & the weather was cool but rain had stopped by time walk actually began. Met a few other gals there that also live here in Gilroy so we're planning some wkend walks together

We started taking Ryan at 7 mos...& went pretty much every 6 months...THIS is why DH is burnt out on DL....been there - done that (TOO Many times IHO)....i dont know what too many times is

The 13.00 a hour ARE the nursing students!!!!! I dont need anyone to cook or clean. The most help Mom with the personal grooming, maybe make lunch or something for them(I hate doing that). dispense drugs. If possible take to drs appointments sometimes. Just give me some time off.

I really need someone just on the days I work.....so I can get some sleep...and IDEALLY would be nice on one of my days off...but that will be a GIFT!

Thank you, but these are just 'training' walks to build up gradual mileage & endurance...the actual 3-day 60-mile walk isn't till Sept 5th...at least the one here in San Fran...i think there are 14 3-day walks scheduled around the country this year...
i am so glad to be a part of this in this small way...i met a pretty young guy yesterday who is walking for his Mom - who passed away from breast cancer not too many years ago....as long as this disease is still out there cutting women's lives short....we need to do what we can...i lost my own aunt about 6 yrs ago....she too was much too young & will never know her own grandchildren....
