Yay! I see a few more thread killers have joined in the fun. Our lottery (it's called lotto here) has to be won when it hits around $18mill under it's rules (it gets split among second division if there are no first division winners), and it hit $18mill this weekend so I will definately be having a small punt.

DU, you have alot going on there! I'll have my fingers crossed for tiggerwannabe to score that windfall. You guys could go nuts making it an awesome place ("pimp my retirement castle" could be the newest reality TV sensation)

While Mumsie & Dadsie are on retreat too Monte Carlo, I too have caught the gambling bug.

So while things are slow at the Factory, I will take the Private Jet and jaunt off to Vegas for the rest of the week. I am sure Fun & HiJinks will ensue once I arrive in the 'city that never sleeps'.

..Must run now My personal Masuese seems to be chomping at the bit to start the process! She is wonderful, in her own swedish way, but a bit pushy at times.

On a sad note...I am going to school today while John takes Mika to a cancer specialist in Philly. She has lymphatic cancer. I know this type of cancer is a really really bad one.

Hello to all the other folks - newbies and oldbies alike!

My 40 years has taught me that life can be wonderful and painful on any given day. I've got a strong soul and can handle pretty much anything...except crying. I hate to cry. Yesterday was the first time in a long time I've let it out. I also know there is much more to come. I have classes wed and thursday but may wind up skipping them if Mika's prognosis is dire.

I am at school now...had to come in to take a chemistry test. I am sticking around long enough to show my next project to my design teacher and I am outta here...I can't concentrate anyway

My mind has been in a fog thinking about our baby.

Her appt is at 1 so it won't do me any good to rush out~

Our kids are so good together. John said they sat on the front step together yesterday for a looong time consoling each other. My MIL amazingly has managed to stay out of my way the last week or so. She has seen my temper and I know that with the situation as it is today I cannot guarantee not to snap on her. My mom's favorite saying about my temper is "if looks could kill, she'd be dead."

MIL has been told it is time for her to leave. Dad is ready to come home and said he'd go to a motel if she is still there. My mom has offered to take MIL in if she doesn't find a place in time.

On a good note, John went back to work today. He's gotten so much better in the last week or so. On the pain scale he's finally down to a 4 - in english that means he is uncomfortable but not hurting.

Well I have cleaned up quite a bit and Im in the process of doing the laundry I think we should have disposable clothes, that way we can wear it and then throw it away...It will have to be something that breaks down into the earth easily tho....Seeing as the world is going "green' or maybe it could be used as fuel...then we could just take something off and stuff it into our gas tanks when we are done wearing it...LOL

I've noticed some around here poking their heads into the bird houses and having a look.

Hi Betsy & Robin!

Betsy - good luck with the tests....I dunno what they are, but when the words "doctor" and "tests" are in the same sentence, it usually means trouble.

I'm going green, too! I've been trying to buy Organic food, meet & produce. I've been using cloth shopping bags for years and am slowly switching my cleaning products over. Our trash folks have made recycling so easy that we pretty much recycle everything.

My only snag is trying to find a balance between Organic foods and a decent grocery bill. Tom is also eating more vegetarian - about 3-4 days per week....he's getting used to it. I just opened a jar of vegan mayo - not bad...

Robin - I hope you're doing well. I've been cleaning the house like a mad woman. It was so dirty. Tom's been down with the flu for the last 10 days, so I wasn't able to get much done.

Speaking of Tom...he' just pulled in. Gotta scoot!

John spoke to the breeder before going to Philly and she gave him a different doc to take her to right up the road. She is going tomorrow. It looks like (unless a miracle happens) we are focusing on keeping her "comfortable."

I love you guys, I know if I need a shoulder there are really big cushy ones right here

There seems a need for lots of hugs on this thread. Everyone is going through something.....life can be so hard. Here hugs to you all. I wish I could take your problems and hurt away.

On another note...we have slowly been going green here too. More so from the products we buy to clean, buying reusable bags for shopping, and lots of recycling.
