Who feels like a Thread-Killer? Part 6

DH and I have picked out some POTENTIAL house plans. :thumbsup2 I have a favorite and he has a favorite. Mine happens to be about 700 sq ft smaller so I may have to give a second thought to his. :lmao: Each of them needs a few modifications to get the kitchen on 2 outside walls and facing northeast. And he really wants our bedroom over the kitchen so we have the same view. We're hoping to be able to see Mt Katadin from here and also the Piscataquis river in the other direction. The river is easy, it's across the street and slightly down hill. :rotfl: We're still working on the apartment, I picked out lighting fixtures the other day. Dh told me I could pick whatever I wanted. (that doesn't always mean he'll get whatever I pick out.)
Time to catch up on laundry. I really need a new dryer. Probably next week, I just got a new washer a couple of months ago and DH told them the wrong one on the phone, oh well, it washes!!

A new house cool! But after working on this kitchen, a whole new house would probably be too many decisions to make at one time for me :p

Morning all, Have a good day.

I have to get ready and go into work for awhile.

Cally,
The wall your boys are standing in front of, is the same color as my den.....I have to say I really like it ..although it took an amazing amout of paint to get a true color.....
We were thinking of changing this color to a lighter color or doing something to it to make it look lighter. The color is nice and rich but we were wanting something bright and airy for the front entrance area. I didn't know it was going to come out this dark. But we've had a lot of compliments on it. We're going to keep it for a while. I bet it looks great in your den. I see it more as a Den color.

The type of paint we used only needed one coat. It went on pretty easy...but I know we'll most likely have to prime it before we change it.

I HAVE checked the book - what heading is this under? :confused3 I knew about the carry-on tip from another DIS board, but I can't find reference to DME at all in the book! :confused3 I know it's just ME! :sad2:
I'm getting this from a different book...

I bought this year's passporter and found the DME info in there.

I tend to have many books on my desk cause what one doesn't answer for me another one will ;)

What!!!!

I just got hubby to agree to the June date :confused3

Just kidding...I got him to agree to it and the date still looks good for us :teeth:

Cally,

Try a mirror or a bright painting/picture on your dark walls. That should brighten it up considerably for you :)

U!

Nice webpage...I really like the wanted poster face frame, that's really cute.

Betsy...even the puppies grow up so fast...

and are such a joy to have around.

Brittany got off just fine this am...

Yes, I told her I like 3:30 am better when I'm actually going!

I managed to get back to sleep but now have dark circles all the way down my face, I'm so tired. I'll be hitting the hay early tonight I'm sure.

Oh I gotta go somehow!! The last time I went to Niagara Falls was when I was 10 y/o! I remember eating in a restaurant that reminded me of the space needle in Seattle. The waitress was hilarious, she told us we were drinking Canadian milk, from a Canadian cow, who ate Canadian grass...
Robin, do you know where I'm talking about?

Oh yea that sounds like it would work. I do have a picture/mirror/coat hanger combination thing right above that bench there... but it's cherry wood and kind of just blends into the wall. Maybe something with a white frame, huh? :thumbsup2

I was gonna suggest white trim but you already have that ;)

Hi Ya'll - Been a while - Hope everyone is doing well.....

Been crazy busy here and now we are in full swing of baseball season - arrrghhhhh LIFE........

As you can tell from my new ticker I did it - I quit smoking - as did DH - and he & I started a new diet/excersize program last week and I have lost 3.5 lbs and I am hoping for a total of 10lbs before we leave for WDW in 26 days.....he lost 5lbs and is hoping for a total loss of 12lbs before we leave....

I am trying to go back to a "former life" - a new Applebees is opening about 5 minutes from my house - I applied online for a server position - I only fear that if they look at my history with them and see ALL the stuff I did the last time I worked from them they will want me for other positions as well - just gotta stick to my guns - note that is not ego it is what happened the last time I went to work for them hence why I had so many more positions with them........

Anyhoo - DH left for Atlantic City for some jamblin' so it's me and the kiddos for the next couple of days - AND NO PARTIES!!!! LOL

Ok gang 'til I can check in again - take care everyone and have some fun - warmer weather approaches.....basking in the sun once again!!!

The kitchen has been officially ordered. Cabinet and countertop colours picked out (I'm still not sure that I really like them though :confused3 ). Flooring has been tentatively picked out too. Just need to get wall colour decided on.

The date set for installation is May 11. I know it's a lot further than 4 weeks away but we are going to be away for 10 days between now and then and needed the extra time to prepare the space.

Then to pick out hardware, lighting, sink and faucet..........

I hope that you can find a way to come too Kelly. We originally had the date planned for June but it conflicted with my dress rehearsal for dance recital and it was only Betsy and I going. So we decided to postpone it till later in the summer.

Now we hope that a few more TKers will be able to come too :Pinkbounc

The only place that I can think of that matches your description Kelly is the Skylon Tower. Here is a link to it, so you can relive your youthful memories. ;)

 TKERBELL, I've been thinking about you and wondering how you have been doing.

Congratulations on giving up the smoking :smokin: , and also on your weight loss. I hope you can meet your goal before your vacation.

We had to make an emergency run to Michigan today. :moped:

Part of one of our machines at work broke and we needed to try and get a new one or maybe to repair the old piece.

It was quicker for us to drive it to the repair place than to ship it there. Of course that meant getting proper paper work in order to cross the border with it

Hopefully these people can fix it because if they can't it will take 20 WEEKS to get a new one :faint:

Oh yes and the negotiations with the college people have broken off, so the strike will continue on..... it's been 2 weeks since they first went on strike and now they don't even want to talk. The students are in real danger of losing their school year :sad2:
