Cruisin said:I don't know for sure where we will be stopping.
Usually when we drive down we spend the first night 1/2hour or so north of Atlanta. Last time we met Ann and Tom the next day as we drove south, and they came over to the I75 to meet us. Of course that was on a weekend. This time we will be going through on Wednesday,Jan4... a little harder for working folks to plan for.
We will probably be going back through Jacksonville on the morning our cruise ends. Don't know exactly what time of morning that will be, but that will be on Thursday Jan 12.
I just saw something awesome, sad but awesome at the same time.
Liz and I were in the kitchen. Our house backs on a field so lots of wildlife. There was a big bang on the patio door, another bird hit the door, happens quite often actually. I went to look and see if the bird survived the hit. When I got to the door there was a big hawk or falcon grabbing onto a smaller bird, right outside my doorThe poor little bird and maybe the hawk too, hit the door. I wished that I had approached the door with a little more caution because as soon as the hawk saw me he grabbed the bird and took off with it. Poor little bird
Beautiful hawk though.
Now I have little bird feathers littering the snow in my backyard and cool hawk wing marks in the snow.
Would love to meet up if it works out!!
The power of nature....even though a little bit gross, also kind of cool!! Does that make me weird???

. Just a little chilly. So glad you DH will be home for Christmas tell him Thank you from our family.
TN, have you mailed yours yet??

These guys turn down an all expense paid meal for themselves and wifes but will go to a house party that is ending up costing them, because they have to bring their own booze and also contribute towards the food by bringing something.
Some people just don't stop to think
very neat!
it is still the one thing that is a mystery - after the SS reveal I will tell where I am - I will say we got about 4 - 6 inches - we have a long and wide driveway as well as a long walkway to our front steps - and thinking
(not so brightly I may add) DS11 thought he could do it all by himself w/o gloves (he's a ding dong) and in a sweatshirt instead of a coat - needless to say he didn't get very far - so DH stepped in and finished - yeah my guys love me they even scraped the snow off the "family funmobile".....
Loved the Hawk feathers in the snow - how magnificent nature is little grossed
Not for the little bird tho.
