I don't know for sure where we will be stopping.

Usually when we drive down we spend the first night 1/2hour or so north of Atlanta. Last time we met Ann and Tom the next day as we drove south, and they came over to the I75 to meet us. Of course that was on a weekend. This time we will be going through on Wednesday,Jan4... a little harder for working folks to plan for.

We will probably be going back through Jacksonville on the morning our cruise ends. Don't know exactly what time of morning that will be, but that will be on Thursday Jan 12.

I just saw something awesome, sad but awesome at the same time.

Liz and I were in the kitchen. Our house backs on a field so lots of wildlife. There was a big bang on the patio door, another bird hit the door, happens quite often actually. I went to look and see if the bird survived the hit. When I got to the door there was a big hawk or falcon grabbing onto a smaller bird, right outside my door :earseek: The poor little bird and maybe the hawk too, hit the door. I wished that I had approached the door with a little more caution because as soon as the hawk saw me he grabbed the bird and took off with it. Poor little bird  Beautiful hawk though.

Now I have little bird feathers littering the snow in my backyard and cool hawk wing marks in the snow.

Would love to meet up if it works out!!

The power of nature....even though a little bit gross, also kind of cool!! Does that make me weird???

I walked outside and :cheer2: :cheer2: :bounce: :bounce:  SS Gift for ME!!! :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :cheer2: :cheer2:

Okay my package says, no shaking or dropping....FRAGILE!!! It smells okay though, and no air holes in the box, and no noise... :rotfl: :rotfl2:

So do we open today...Just joking. I actually am pretty good at waiting    :hourglass That hourglass is slow eh >~~noted!!

Hi Robin

Cally - I reiterate what has been said already (or typed) A safe journey home to your DH and a BIG THANK YOU to him and to you for the sacrifice of a military spouse.....I grew up in a military home and my Dad did 2 tours of Vietnam and my both grandfathers and my dad's mom served in WWII - additionally I had many family members in WWII and Korea - I commend you and you DH (as well as the rest of your family) for the sacrifice and appreciate it more than you can ever imagine

Thank you.. :goodvibes

It all happened too fast to even think about getting the camera.

Tallahassee is about 2 1/2 hours drive from Jacksonville. DS is stationed at Oceana, VA. He will be home (here) just after Christmas!! :Pinkbounc

Going out tonight to an employees house for a Christmas Party.

Here's the story:

We asked the guys, do you want to have a Christmas party from work this year or would you prefer the money to go into a bonus :confused3 They voted and turned down the Christmas party, fine with me, cost us a fortune last year anyways.

So one of the guys decides to have a shop get together at his house instead. Everyone from the shop will be there. Everyone is bringing something to contribute to the party.

What the heck :earboy2: These guys turn down an all expense paid meal for themselves and wifes but will go to a house party that is ending up costing them, because they have to bring their own booze and also contribute towards the food by bringing something.

Rick and I are just laughing ourselves silly :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Christmas party for the employees and we don't have to pay a bundle for it :rolleyes1 Some people just don't stop to think :earboy2:

Where are you located Janet? How much snow did you get?

Sorry to read about the hearing loss. Will the surgery correct it entirely? :confused3 Best wishes with that.

shhhh I don't want to give away my SS locale :scratchin it is still the one thing that is a mystery - after the SS reveal I will tell where I am - I will say we got about 4 - 6 inches - we have a long and wide driveway as well as a long walkway to our front steps - and thinking  (not so brightly I may add) DS11 thought he could do it all by himself w/o gloves (he's a ding dong) and in a sweatshirt instead of a coat - needless to say he didn't get very far - so DH stepped in and finished - yeah my guys love me they even scraped the snow off the "family funmobile".....

Surgery will remove the boney growths thereby slowing the hearing loss - thank you for the well wishes....

Cruisin' - I had to laugh about the Christmas party - some people are just plain ding dongs.... :p Loved the Hawk feathers in the snow - how magnificent nature is little grossed :crazy2: out about the whole food chain thing tho

TN - Yeah you got your package eh <~~~~~~ (noted)- yeah!!!! :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc - heck I want to know what mine is and yours and everyones elses - I have the courage to wait 'til the 22nd - I can do it, I can do it, I know I can, I know I can - OOH OOH Congrats on the 500 mark - I am still in the 200's can't even imagine being in the 1000's - guess I better get going then huh?

Well TKer's I am off to get a good nights rest as tomorrow is the Dreaded Party...... :scared1:  :scared: :faint:

Nighty Night all..........

Night TKERBELL.

Good luck with the party tomorrow.

I feel like it's been so long since I sent out my SS package that I don't even remember everything I put in there

I should have written down what I sent out :rotfl:, so what my SS person gets from me will be a surprise to me again too :rotfl2:
