:rotfl2: No cameras around to record tap dancing snowshovelling women in PJ's. Good thing it was dark out when I was outside because I think the whole neighbourhood was also outside. :rotfl2:

DARN!!! Would have been a great post! :teeth:

Goodnight Robin :cloud9:

Hi Tkers

Ayup, one more week :moped: I got your directions in my notebook...and I'll have my SS recipient's package in hand. I presume one of you two will have mine ;)

Robin, I still have your DVD, it's packed just not shipped :confused3

laptop was crazy slow last night, I'm gonna go catch up some while it's behavin'

Okay, thanks for letting me know.

Are you too excited to sleep yet?? ;)

No time for sleep! I gotta get packing!!!

Hubby's not going on this crusie, my Mom booked it for my daughter and me then decided to bring DDs best friend so Britt will have a built in buddy on the boat.

These are my last two days off before we leave next wednesday.

Susan, I like the idea of going to Carrabbas, we have them here but DH is such an awesome cook we rarely eat out. Breakfast might have to be skipped, we have to make it to MCO by 9:40 am to pick up DDs best friend. I believe you said it's a three hour ride from your place so we'd have to be well on the road by 7am. I am not an early morning person, Mom is....I'm thinking coffe and a danish or donuts for the ride to Orlando. We're booking lunch for 12 at AKL so I know we'll eat well when we finally get ther...yummy...

we have icy rain here. The road are fine but my driveway and front walk are an ice rink! Britt wants to drive herself to school tomorrow and I'm having some serious second thoughts about allowing her :guilty:

are you still having rain Robin?

Right now I don't think it's doing much of anything out there.

It was snowing a bit ago but the temperature is hovering right around freezing.

I think I'd be a bit concerned about letting her drive herself in that kind of weather too.

I'm actually getting sleepy, the week just caught up to me ---

I will bid thee all a good night, til the morrow my tkers friends, let's hope for a bright new happy day!

Hasta Manana!

It is so warm that it is turning to rain and that is not so good ::sad2: That means there will probably be a big mess in the morning. :cold: <~~~~~~ see the icicles on this little guy ::yes:: that will be us by morning
Pretty much the same story here Robin. We dodged 3-6" yesterday, but it was followed by sleet/frozen snow/rain, whatever they call that stuff. :confused3 When I came home yesterday, I shoveled everything and spread some salt - it totally dissolved everything within minutes! So, while we say 'warm', it's still in the 30º range. And, according to the 'forecast', temps are dropping in the coming days. :guilty: Icey, dangerous conditions. :cold: Be careful everyone (North). ;)

Me too. The other night, Matt's dad and I actually agreed on something! :faint: NOT letting Matt drive either of our cars to work. Not enough experience, ya know? :confused3 Better safe than sorry, imo. ;)

I think that some of them put skis on the bottoms on their planes, not sure though. :earboy2:

I agree with the lack of experience. New drivers think........ hey, why can't I drive anywhere, anytime I want :confused3 Well because sometimes inexperience can make a bad situation really tragic in a hurry. A situation an experienced driver can handle with no problem, an unexperienced one is suddenly in trouble with. Best to keep them down a bit longer if we can and let them get some more driving time under their belts.

I agree Kim about the "warm" issue with the weather. When you've been in the deep freeze suddenly just around freezing feels awfully balmy doesn't it

The school busses are all running today and it's business as usual, so I guess they've gotten the snow taken care of. I know the snowplow went through our street last night just before midnight.

My neighbour with the truck on the road, moved it into the driveway for the snowplow and then moved it back out on the street. I was watching him and he parked it and moved it back closer to his driveway. I thought oh, good, he's going to leave space for someone else to park. Nope, he got out, checked his position and then got back in and moved it up about 8 feet, so he's taking up the whole space again :sad2: Makes it real tempting to back up into his truck with the trailer hitch on the van ;) I wouldn't do it of course, but it is tempting :earboy2:

I have to drive Liz to Windsor (an hour each way) today. She's going to spend the weekend with my niece at her college residence. Jillian's course goes until next Friday and most of the rest of the college is done already, so she is feeling lonely and needs company.

That's okay, I'm going to go shopping at Chapters (large book store) while I'm in the "big city" ;)

MORNING CALLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Colleen, have fun packing.

I'm :cheer2: :Pinkbounc  excited for you, because I know that I won't be too far behind.

Brer_Papa should be back this weekend sometime shouldn't he? I wonder if he had any interesting adventures? :confused3

Alex bought that Geisha book for his girlfriend for her birthday. I know that she liked it too.

I don't know if I told you guys but Liz has asked everyone who is buying her a gift for Christmas to buy her a book. She wants a book from everyone on a subject that interests the giver. So if you like toads or Japanese pagodas or whatever, she wants a book about it. I don't know where she came up with the idea, maybe she wants to start her own library (as if she doesn't own hundreds of books already) .

We only have a small book store in our town, so I've gotten some "orders" from people about subjects for their books and I've been designated to look today at the big book store ;)

Good morning

We have decent book stores here, Books -A-Million, Barnes and Noble. Any requests? Sounds like you have readers for children. Mine both think the library is magazines in bathroom. :rotfl: :rotfl2:

Gotta run, Drs appt. :moped:

Chat later :grouphug:

Good Morning TKers,

Well if we got the inches they said we'd get then the rain compacted it into mush....it looks pretty but its HEAVY!...the temp isnt to bad today though...nice and sunny :sunny:

Kim,
It IS a small world...a Nice way to start the new year though :teeth: ...or in your case a nice way to end it.....For me, with 10 DGKs among others, its the start of MANY more Birthdays to come  ....

Robin,
I would have loved to see your little tap/shoveling dance.... :cool1: but dont worry, I know my neighbors..have probably wondered about me if they have seen me in the mornings..in my yard...I have been known to get wood or go feed horses in my bright purple PJs with big white cloudsand yellow stars under my red and brown and black plaid barn coat..and my DHs camo muck boots... ..or just this morning I was feeding the birds in said coat with just a night shirt under AND said muck boot :rotfl2: ..They would have had to use binos to see me anyway :3dglasses unless they were hiding in the woods...and in that case Id say they should go get a life :teeth:

Cally,
When my boys were tweens...they use to want me to walk behind them in the mall, so the girls wouldnt know they were with there mom :rotfl: ...Then Id come up and put my arm around them and give them a great big hug :earseek: ..boy that would really bother them! ;) :rotfl2: the things youve got to put up with from your mom....huh! :earboy2:
Well ..have a great day and Ill pop in later to see who posted

Yes, I have a couple of readers in those house. Actually Rick is the only one who is not a reader. The rest of us love our books. ::yes::

The bathroom also is used as a reading room in this house by some people ;)

Hi Betsy.

At least you don't have close neighbours to see what you are wearing. Here we are within very close sight of each other  Hard to do something without somebody else noticing it. :teeth:

I'm off to take Liz to visit her cousin. Be back later.
