Hello everyone

How was everyone's day??

Robin, did you find the books you were looking for? Find anything interesting?

Betsy, hows the weather today? Has the snow melted any?

Kim, how's the snow for you?

Tinknutt how did your appt go?

Kids came home today with a bunch of goodies from their Christmas party..and some cute lil ornaments they made.. I love this age.. they bring home the cutest stuff..

Oh and the lil one managed to spill his reindeer food all over the floor  I got glitter everywhere!!! But how could I be mad at him..he was so cute trying to show me all his goodies and neat stuff he made..

He had a t-shirt with his foot print and handmarks on it.. SO CUTE   I will cherish it forever!! :teeth:

I have everything my kids ever brought home from school, they get a kick out of seeing some of what I keep. I'll be going thru them and they'd peek over my shoulder saying OOH! I remember making that, and with a big smile they look me in the eye, gleamingly proud that I kept it after all these years

Liz is starting her own new era, such a great kid she is. I know you are proud. John and I started our "library" the day we new we were having our son. Signed up for groliers before Adrian was even born. Got the mandatory disney ones and grims fairy tales too. And it just grew from there. We have mini library's in every room and every storage area in my home. And I'll never get rid of one of them.

Having the puppy is really like having a new baby in the house. I bathed her for the first time tonight and the poor little thing is exhausted. She's sleeping in my robe on the couch next to me :cloud9: :dog: The baby part is she'll get her rest and be raring to go at 1am, right when I go to lay my head down for the night.

I miss my kids being little but have been very happy continuing to watch them grow.---as I speak---the puppy awakens....:dog:

It will certainly be interesting to see what books Liz ends up with from family. My one brother just gives this evil smile everytime the topic comes up. All he says is...... She wants to know what we are interested in, so I'll show her :earseek: :faint: :rotfl:  Could be interesting :rotfl:

We have a bunch of those Disney books too. My mom got them when my first nephew was little, he is turning 29 next week :) I have about 1/2 of them and I think one of my nephews has/had the other half.

So, who is going to be the "baby" holder while you are gone away :scratchin . The baby will miss you ::yes::

I know that my babies miss me while I am gone away.

Alex called a little bit ago to say that he was on the outskirts of Ottawa, where his girlfriend goes to school. He has gone to spend a few days there and then bring her home for Christmas. It took him a bit more than 8 hours to get there this time, got caught in rush hour traffic again in Toronto.

I'm just glad to know that he has arrived safely (well, he was still about 15 minutes away from her university residence)

My hubby, son and son's girlfriend are in charge of the babies in my absence.

Our big dog mika, little dog penny, cat precious and fish called raab will all be in their care during the two weeks I am gone.

This'll be the most amount of time I've spent with my mom since I moved out 21 years ago :earseek:

ZJO Threadkillers - it'll be short....

Sounds like ya'll are having fun worrying about the kids and younger family members (and furry kids) in all their adventures. Robin, I LOVE Liz's book idea!

Well, two exciting things happened. I got my Christmas bonus - not bad, if I say so myself - and TOM got a job at the same company I work for. He starts on 1/3/05 when we go back from Christmas break. I'm very excited and I think he'll enjoy himself as much as I do!

I played poker with Dad, and BIL and Nephew. I ended up $5.00 ahead with BIL winning EVERYTHING else! Both Dad and Nephew lost every nickle! All-in-all, not bad! I usually end up walking away with no $$$ in my pockets! Last time we played, tinknutt won!....wish you could have been there TN!

Well, I'm gonna go to bed - it's late! Nighty-night! :cool1:

I hope you enjoy your time with your mom Colleen. I'd love to do a girls only cruise with my daughter and my mom, but I don't think my husband or my dad would be very appreciative of the idea ;)

I still have to line someone up to take care of our menagerie for the 3 or 4 days that no one will be home while we are away. Guess I better figure that out soon.

Hi Ann. Did Tom negotiate time off for the TKer cruise when he took on this new job of his :teeth: Congratulations Tom, enjoy your new career. Poor little Holly will have no one to play with all day at home now. :confused3

Morning all

Im running too!.... :moped:

Have a great day :teeth:

TTFN :wave2:

That explains why you can DIS in the middle of the day sometimes then ::yes::

6th grade, are you doing well with your marks?

Ayup Robin, the husband reaction is what I am dealing with :confused3

Hubby is complaining about me being gone for the holiday. It's the first he and I aren't together for since the beginning of our relationship in 1985! He'll be finetho, he knows I'm doing this for my Mom, the dates we picked were because DDs best friend refuses to miss school and this was the only Disney Eastern that coincided with a school vacation...soooo....he's got the whole week off from work, him and my son have the house to themselves, he has two different houses to go to for Christmas day and all the time in the world to spend with his buds. He'll be just fine.

Uraken, a cinci guy eh? <---noted

How's your weather today, we're having a warm spell after the freezing rain the other night. It's been hovering around 45 for the last two days---it's a heatwave!

Congrats on the new job Tom!! My hubby and me are happier working separately. We value our time together but we also value our time apart :duck:

Susan, Ann, did you decide if the hubbies are coming to dinner? I think you should invite all who will come, the morethe merrier in my book :)
