Kim, are you out there tonight?
Yes, just a little late.

Was that train accident near to you Kim?
And yes

, unfortunately, not that far away. 12-15 cars involved, there's still not a clear story, altho there might have been on the 10pm news, but I didn't watch/listen.
My day.....DNephew arrived at 7am to get a ride to school. I offered him the loveseat to lay down on

, school doesn't start 'til 8:20.

Within minutes we were all UP tho. I was relaxed, having no work, and made them both breakfast.....very simple, micro pancakes and micro pre-cooked bacon.

Hey, we gotta be fast in the AM.

Got to school and went in and asked Kelly's teacher about yesterday. She confirmed the story and was quite upset herself, as was the student teacher. She 'suggested' I get a few other parents and take it to a 'higher authority', which was my intention all along. I did get one other Dad, and he and his wife are SOOOO onboard, but he wants to wait until next week to approach the principal (small groups, repeating the information), where the other mom & I went in to talk to the principal after school today. We asked that a school-wide reminder be sent out Again, reminding parents to keep their sick kids home. Not sure it's going to do ANY good, as this same mom brought her DS to school today, toting a box of Kleenex for him.

These poor kids being dragged out when they feel so lousy.

Not to mention exposing OUR kids!

I also learned that last week's strep 'notice' was because of her DD, and it was self-diagnosed! No Dr., no antibiotics, just a strep scare for the whole school!

I truly think this woman seeks attention for herself, while not giving a kay-rap about her kids. jmho And, the student teacher told me that when the girl came to school yesterday, altho briefly

, she had a fever of 100.5, but the mom didn't think it was anything!

It's like she put her DD on display, so we would all sympathize with the mom for having a sick kid. This may all seem petty, and I'm just venting, but this mother has a history, which the principal now knows about.
P.S. Kelly has been in bed for 2 hours now, mostly coughing. I'm gonna strangle that mom.
Well, Gobble, Gobble everyone! Have a great Thanksgiving.
