Cally, there are a few things we don't like about the kitchen the way it is now. The first thing is the placement of the stove. It's right next to a doorway with no counter top between the stove and the doorway. Very dangerous spot to be in. We need better storage and more counterspace too
Colleen, I think the kitchen is going to have to be totally gutted and started over. The sink will stay in the same place but I don't know for sure how the rest will turn out.
I will take some pictures later and post them and you guys can give me your expert opinions on how you think it should be.
We have a friend that owns a kitchen cabinet business and he is coming next week to look at it. I went to Home Depot today and the man there was very helpful. I got some brochures and some planning pages so I can start from there.
We don't know how long we will be staying at this house so we don't want to put a really expensive kitchen in. Just something in a middle range that will look nice for the rest of the time that we are here and hopefully help the house to sell better when the time comes.
