Wow! Sounds like fun but busy fun

I have DSs tuition taken care of, I have about three weeks before we have to get his textbooks.

I have to go get Britt from the mall now

Hope to talk to you again soon Ann,

Robin, see you later if you're around when I get back...

I'll probably be around

:wave2:

What is your son studying, Colleen?

Alex's tuition was paid at the beginning of August but with Liz registering so late it has to be paid right now.

Mine have both bought their textbooks already. This way they can look at them ahead of time if they want.

Liz is actually reading one of hers while she talks on the internet :earboy2:

I found out that among her group of friends there is a total of 5 of them starting at the same college at the same time. They are all in different courses but it is nice that they are all going to be in the same building. Also of course her brother will be around there too.

It should make it a bit easier when there are recognizable faces around. :)

Good Morning all,

Just a quick hello....I have to go help with the deck.....Just got back from picking up sand for the posts....

CoooLLeeeNNNN? :teeth:
Its all set :cheer2: ....My mother is going to my DB, & DSILs! :cool1: that weekend....So its a go!.........I am Soo excited...Hope it doesnt rain or anything!.... :wizard:

Robin,
If you and liz could make it????....that would be soo cool....I would get to meet both you and Colleen! :cool1: .....It will be your birthday too?... Please let us know if you can make it....

Hello All

DS is actually looking at nursing too, he doesn't have to claim a major yet but that's what he said he wants to do. He's taking the entrance test again-he didn't take the first one seriously and has to retake it to get out of the "dummy" classes.

Once he does that he can re-register his classes for real.

He has last-minute-itis, so when he registers tuition is due immediately, prob with a late fee added in...at his school they recommend he wait til after classes start to get his books. Even tho there are regular textbooks, some of the teachers have their own requirements. I'm not paying $100 for a book he doesn't need. (I studied at the same college so I already knew about him not needed his texts yet. )

Yay!!! :cheer2:

September 17th! it's a date!

My first TKer meet...this is soo cool!

Ok-I'm back in Orlando Oct 8th to the 15th

Are there any TK (in addition to MMD) that will be around for another chance to gather?

We're staying off property and I honestly could get you in to lounge by our pool or we could do a lunch, dinner or Epcot date...who's up for that?

Did I mention that Rose has a private home, with it's own pool and hot tub?

I'll have to go back and grab some photos from past trips to show you---this place is awesome! The only reason Rose and I are doing this is so she doesn't lose the house for next year. If she doesn't use it, she loses it. I told her I'd be glad to occupy the house with her...my family used it in 2003. Everyone fits comfortable there. My sis and hubby have 3 kids, my Mom came with us and me, hubby and my two all stayed in this same house. Veeeery nice.

btw-

I'm still reading to catch up, I just read about Cally sending the boyz off to school... awwwwww, you are too adorable with those kids.

Betsy, is DA doing better now? Sorry to hear of her accident-it is truly in your nature to nurture those around you...

Whatever happened with the GA/FL gathering?

Robin, not sure if you're still medicating kitty...my suggestion is you need to massage his throat when you give him the pill...wrapped in his towel of course...it forces him to swallow so you can be done withit quicker that waiting for him to swallow.

I just spotted your naughty link conversation...I don't even wanna know

Cally, how's the Testament book? I like Grisham but I like Dean Koontz more. I read his book 2 of the Frankenstien series-really good book-but the sequel comes out next summer--I hate those perpetual "to be continued" books...I want it NOW!

Ophie: I'm gonna hit Mom up for the HBP book when I see her today...it's an audio book but I kinda like those sometimes. I can listen and do other things at the same time, unlike actually reading...I listened to the Malcolm X story that way-he has a very interesting story but I really doubt I would have read it if it were in normal book format.

Gotta BBQ to go to..

So I gotta get my tail moving~

I'll most likely check in again later.

Betsy, I don't think in all honesty that I would be able to come to your meet. It is just too far to drive. I expect to see pictures though and I really wish that I could come. ::yes::

Colleen, I'm not sure but I have a feeling that we too had to pay a late fee. The lady at the desk (who was a miserable you know what  :sad2:) told me what I had to pay and I just paid it.

We bought textbooks because with Alex just having graduated from that program a year ago, he knew what books she would need and which ones she wouldn't. She is also going to use certain ones of his, for example for an English class she has to take. We just thought it might be wise if they both had their own books for future reference purposes.

I know that at the college bookstore here that you can return any books that you have not opened the shrink wrap on.

Quiet tonight :I can hear the crickets:

Guess what!!! Happy stuff is just rooooolllin in :dancer:

Before our cruise, we were gonna stay at the Radisson in Port Canaveral...well, one of my fellow Christmas Cruisers found a discount code for AKL standard view for $189...not only has she and one other booked that night -we have another friend staying concierge the week before the cruise- at the lodge. My Mom called today and got an even better rate, so we're staying there now too!!!!!!!!

She got standard view for $161!!!

~I'm so happy~

I can't hear the crickets here :listen:

The washer and dryer are making too much noise :earboy2:

I'm happy that you are happy :cheer2:

I called DCL today and had Liz taken off of our booking. Since she signed up for college, she can't go on the cruise. She would have to take too much time away from school and also at the beginning of a new semester ~~not such a good idea.

A question ~~ I booked the POP Century for before our cruise and they are charging us $10 a day more to have Liz in the room. Should I call and tell them she is not coming now or should I just tell them when I arrive that she is not there??

I'd call them now, no issues to deal with when you get there

Did you get a discount on your room? Wants CRO's number to see if they can find you a discount?

I'm still at my sister's

Kids are everywhere

I took over the computer on them ..mwahahahahah -

The rate that I got was a AAA rate of $68.00 a night.

I'm hoping that something better will come out before we leave. We've booked before at $55.00 a night.

Very quiet where I am , I'm home alone again. ;)

Call CRO at 1-800-421-3732

Tell them what you're looking for, any discount that they can give you for your time period and see if they can do better.

I'm told this is a great way to get discount without having to search for them yourself.

Okay I will give that a try tomorrow and see what they can come up with.

Robin, you're still up?

Hubby and me just got home...it's really been quiet tonight.

Very nice day

 Hi Kim!

Between going to the Faire with Betsy-the date is September 17th for anyone willing to travel to the faire in Lancaster, PA.

Booking another week in FL with Rose at SummerBay

and Mom booking us into the AKL for the night before our Christmas Cruise---

I am soooo on :cloud9:

Me too. Got home about 1-1/2 hours ago. Nice day/night tho. :sunny:

 ladies!

Where were you off to today Kim?

School started yet for your guys?

Hey Colleen

Have you come down off your cloud yet :cloud9:

I'm off to bed, I think.

See ya!

Nope...this clouds gonna last me a couple days at least

AKL is my dream....I talk about staying there and never really thought I'd have the opportunity.

John likes to go camping, I like to go to FL...he's going camping next weekend and with his permission I get to go to FL again.

The price doesn't get any better...$117 for airfare round trip, the cost of groceries since we have a kitchen and about $120 for park tickets. If I had to pay to stay I wouldn't get there half as often as I do.

:goodnight Robin:

Nitey nite Robin! :cloud9:  (had to get that in incase you leave ASAP!)

We were at my nephew's BD party today, from about 1-7, and then went to our neighborhood 'fest' from about 8-10 with my youngest brother & family, who live the closest, so we parked at his house, and walked over. It was VERY crowded. HUGE Block party run amok, imo. Many, many, too many unattended teenagers, as well as many, many, too many UNdisciplined adults! :drinking1 :earseek: Saw a couple people who could barely WALK! The food smelled good tho - we were all full from eating at my other brother's tho, and the beer was ice cold :cold: - my brother bought me one. :confused3 ;) ;) It was a nice, long, day/nite no matter what, as we were with family. :goodvibes

As for you Colleen, I'm as green as this - :shamrock: ! UNbelievable the life you have! I'm sooo jealous, and trust me, I checked the dates, but I can't make it. Have fun tho, OK? (I think I mean it) :rotfl: :duck:

Thanks Kim...I think ;)

Disney is truly my Magic...see my new slogan sign in my sig?

With my allergies, I am grateful to beable to do what I do - I can't go camping, I can't dig in the garden, even thebeach is a hazard-unless I can find a way to get to the water without walking on sand :confused3
(every night I went to the beach I had to come home and scrub my feet or I would wake up with hives on the bottom of them.)

My sister doesn't even totally understand why I can't do things...she asked me six times tonight why I won't go kayaking or tubing and all I could say is mold, pollen and latex (the tubes and most oar handles have latex in them.) Even if I used a wood oar it would have pollen and mold embedded in thegrain and I wouldstill have hives within a day or two of the activity. The guys eventually told her to let it go.

I can do theme parks-as long as I have a clean bed to come home to.

My life has it's own issues, what you see is what keeps me sane in my limited world.
