Robin - LOVE bakeries! Unfortunately, there aren't any low-carb bakeries around! Glad you have one where Alex can enjoy their offerings, too.

Cally - moving's tough...isn't it? In some ways, it SO liberating to get rid of the extra stuff you're lugging around. It was hard for DH and I - since we're not moving every 2-3 years. We have to make ourselves get rid of stuff now.

Well, I bought 2 books and 2 shirts. The two shirts were from Old Navy. Round-necked, long-sleeved t-shirts. One is green, the other is magenta. I've very bold with the colors! I also saw "Meet the Fockers". It was very funny. Tom will love it....when he's up to it. He's feeling worse, instead of better. We're trying another cold medication and hopefully this one will work. If not, I'm gonna drag that man to the doctors!

Isn't the Boxing Day tradition where you trade places with someone? I thought it was the servant became the master & the master became the servant for a day.....maybe I'm wrong?

I found this 5 pages back...so it might of got answered all ready.

"Boxing Day" started in England, because the "servants" had to SERVE the "Lords & Ladies" aka Masters on Christmas Day, all the servants were given Dec 26th off, so their could celebrate Christmas with their families but I do not believe "they switched places"- Can't imagine the King or Queen cooking dinner, can you?

Well we met with the realtor today!! Everything seems good...we did a walk around the house .... The builder did not install the frig, dishwasher, or stove!!!!! We wrote that up and there were some cracks in the paint....everything else was working fine....we checked all the faucets, lights, and outlets... garage door opener, sprinkler system, alarm system, am I forgetting something????

Well tomorrow afternoon we will do one more walk around to make sure everything is fixed and then we CLOSEEE oh my goodness oh my goodness oh my goodness... First time home owners!!!

I'm a wreck.. I still have tons of packing and cleaning to do!!!


Ann I want to see that movie! The previews seem funny! We will have to wait til it comes out in dvd though.... I think by the time it does DH will be deployed though..

Oh my look at the time! I just got done cleaning and packing up the kitchen. All that is left is the pots and pans and food! I'll work on that tomorrow.....

Tomorrow we meet the realtor at 1pm for one final walk around and then closing at 3!


Robin, we'll probably be disconnecting the pc tomorrow and I don't know when we'll be connected back up to the net so I want to go ahead and wish you lots of fun on your upcoming trip! Drive safely! Dance and Sing Karoake!!! Have lots and lots of fun!!!

Ice skating...I love to Ice skate...I have a pond in my yard(not real big)that is great for Ice skating, but the weather has to be right for the ice to be good to skate on..cold with no snow....well for the last couple of years its been crappy..we have always gotten this wet snow..or the weather has been too warm (like this year)for me to chance it...(dont want to fall through)..I miss skating..

Have a good time...You will be fine ...Just dont go to far from the edge until you get you balance right..or hang onto someone whos good...Thats what my DGD did...Only she always picked me to hang on to and Im not THAT good...we ended up in a pile..because she starts losing it and pulls me down.with her....
All tangled up and laughing so hard we couldnt get ourselves back up. She has been roller skating for the last couple of years though. So Ill probably be hanging on to her. (If we ever get good skating weather again.)

Well...I was going to write my "New Years" Resolutions on the first....

but...with Cruisin's imminent departure....and since I value her input....I decided to write a couple preliminary ones now....

let me know what you think....and, if you wish....
add yours....

1) Sit down and write something as we have discussed.....

2) learn how to flirt....

3) quit making faces at some of the DIS posters on the dark side....or exasperated sighs at the self-proclaimed prolific posters....

4) wear something warmer under my kilt in the winter....

5) (this is a 2 for one) Quit juggling sharp objects and quit buying so many bandages....

6) quit sneaking up behind people and yodeling.....

7) remember to wear higher boots in the stalls....

8) learn how to navigate my way around The Mall....

9) develop a recipe for bunny Mcnuggets....

10) get an all over tan.....

well...that's my preliminary list...

I, myself, am surprised it's so long.....

11) promise myself this is the last year I make a list.....
