Gonna be another scorcher today! Did I mention that we got up to the 80's yesterday! Hot Hot Hot for December... When I went out it felt like June!!!

Right now it's really foggy outside. I can't see past my back porch.

So I'm gonna send Roger a package but I don't know what to put in it... I want to put some gifts in it but I don't want to put anything real expensive because I don't want it to get lost.

They have a store there where they can get toiletries, gum, magazines, etc.

I wonder if home baked cookies will stay fresh? I am not sure how long it will take to get there

We are expecting some snow and maybe some freezing rain today too.

Maybe I should break out the winter boots sometime soon.

Today I am going with Alex to a city a bit more than an hour away. He has a job interview there but the job is for here in town. It would be a part time job that he can do while he is going to school.

While he is at his interview, he will probably drop me off at some shopping area and then come back and pick me up after.

We plan on going out for lunch

I'm kind of just going along for the company on the drive.

Hmmm, Cally. I would think that cookies would stay fresh if you sealed them up good, maybe use a ziploc bag. Also pick cookies that "last" longer than others might if you know what I mean.

I am sure that Roger will be thrilled to get any package from home. Include something that the boys have made/drawn/written for him and he will be more than pleased

Cally...if you individually wrap cookies / brownies etc. & then pkg those in a thick ziplock (or do you have access to a vacuum sealer) they should stay pretty fresh & like Robin said....he's going to LOVE & APPRECIATE anything you send! Don't forget the 'kisses'!!

I think ziplock bags should keep them fresh enough, huh? I don't have access to a vacuum seal thingy so ziplock bags it is...

He's not really a sweets person...he likes salty and sour. But I'll send him the cookies anyways.

Alex did get the job he interviewed for.

Right now he is going to school 2 - 3 days a week to become an Advanced Level Paramedic, so he has lots of time left to do something.

The job he got was with a patient transfer service. You know, the people who move patients from one spot to another, not emergency stuff though. People in nursing homes who need to go for tests, transfers of patients from one hospital to another. That sort of thing.

Since he is a nurse and also a paramedic, it's not surprising that he got the job.

At least he will have something to do and will be able to make a bit of money instead of just sitting around on his computer all day.

Today I have to go to Dante's school for his "Advance" graduation. It's the drug free program....they really make a big deal about it.

Then SIL and I are going shopping..... Also gotta help with the planning and stuff of Kallista's birthday party on Saturday.

Anyone plan on seeing the Chipmunk movie? I was thinking of taking the boys. Not sure yet if we'll go this weekend or next....

We ended up with about 6 inches yesterday...and Sat night/Sun is suppose to get really bad too....
So we are planning on shopping Sat. morning...We dont really have much left to get...
I bought my Mom one of the picture frames that changes pictures...Im going to upload some of her old pictures and put them in it..., So she can enjoy them without going through all her old albums.. I think she will like that...!

I have to get something for my girlfriend, and one or two more things for mike...
Our "big" gift to each other will be our tickets to the world for next June...Thenall we'll have to worry about are the tickets for the girls..3 adult, and 2 childs....So after Christmas ..we will be in SAVE mode..for sure!LOL

Well Im going to surf, awhile befor my DM wakes, and my day starts...(she has been a late sleeper anymore ..Seems fine otherwise...(well as fine as can be expected)
