My boss is leaving for Europe for 3 weeks tomorrow - so we've been crazy busy all day just tryin to tie up any loose ends...

I've been lurking...busy at work again

Jealous of DU...Mom called me today to square up the feeding of her cats I cannot wait until it's my turn to go on vaca again~

I wish it was cool and cloudy~it's humid and hot and only suppose to get worse~when I do the booth at the warped tour it's supposed to hit 94 that day! My plan is to buy lotsa cases of water at target and sell em at the concert...I hear the vendors there sell water for $3 a pop. If I sell em for $1 I can make $20 a case and still give the kids what they need for a better price. I'll be selling some Vans shoes and BDMS (our store) skateboard decks too~

Im suppose to go to lunch with my eldest DS, today ...If he can get away from his work.....Im just waiting for his call...
We have been trying to meet up for lunch for the last few days, but one or the other of us have not been able to....We will see about today...

Then I will finish up my mowing from the other day.....Its alot of mowing ...but when its all done it looks sooooo GOOD...

Mike took me to see "No Reservations" last night ...Cute movie....I enjoyed it....I was worried it was going to be to much of a chickflick for Mike, but he said it was not to bad, said he thought it was good!..The little girl in it was really good...She has been in other movies too...Just cant remember what right now!
So You all have two thumbs up for that movie from us...If anyone was thinking of going to see it!

My family has been very spoiled with vacas since last July. 2 real vacations in WDW, 2 mini vaca long weekends in WDW and a week in Cape COd. But now the well has run dry and there is absolutely nothing on the radar! Last year was great which makes this upcoming year tough to take!

Good Morning!! WOW - August 1st - school starts for DS 3 wks from today! He & DH leave for their camping trip house to myself - double

Betsy ~ no 'hookie' days for me....too much going on here still but when he's gone - i have time to play catch up on stuff that sits around...but i have my NYC trip coming up SOON!!! and then 1st part of November is our annual adults only trip to DL & Palm Springs....


Hey Colleen - SMART move on the water.....don't know why some of those vendors need to upcharge SOOOO much for 'water' on a 94 deg day! UGGHHH

Robin - I'm sorry to hear about your cat. I hope all goes well. I agree with your thoughts on care of your baby - I'd do the same.

DU - I'm not sure I know what you mean about faxing in your room request. Are you talking about at WDW? What did you do? Does it make a difference? Have a great time at WDW!

TW - good luck with the booth. I think you should sell water for $1 a pop. You might want to check that the other vendors don't have exclusive rights, tho. Stay cool and hydrated!

PD112 - I like your vacations last year - I hope another one falls in your lap for this year! BTW, did I tell you that DH loved the cranberry cordials?

DalPal - It sounds like you've been busy. The movie that little girl was just recently in was "Little Miss Sunshine". It was an AWESOME movie! I'm glad you liked "No Reservations". I plan to see that one. I saw Ratatouie yesterday...a real good one....especially for a foodie like me!

CADZNY - I LIKE your vacation plans THIS year! My sisters and I do a girls only trip (no husbands or kids allowed) once a year and have a blast! We're doing historic Savannah this year. I hope we'll do WDW again next year - we're due.

Hi everyone else! If I missed you...sorry....I've kept up, but not posted in a while.

Well, I've been busy. We had a great time visiting the grand kids in Orlando. They are so adorable. I've been busy getting the house back in order (the usual and unpacking, laundry...that sort of stuff). We hired a new lawn guy - our old landscapers were awful! DH's surgery is one week from today. Off to Eddie Bauer (returning some clothes for DH) and Williams Sonoma (need more gratin dishes). Tonight's dinner is Eggplant Gratin. I'll let you know how it goes!

Betsy, the air conditioning is working I'm not sure that it is totally fixed yet though but for the moment it is running.

Temperature today is 87 that feels like 108. Yup I love it. Gonna be warm as far as the forecasters are forecasting

We've been spoiled with vacations too the past few years. The only official vacation we have scheduled is the Disney Cruise in January. There are a couple of airplane competition weekends coming up but I don't really consider those to be vacations.

Betsy, I mentioned once in Rick's presence about a meeting in Florida in September He actually brought it up the other day, so, maybe, you never know.

Also I found out there is some kind of Mini meet in Lake Buena Vista that same weekend

Funny how Rick acts like he doesn't listen to me but really does I mentioned wanting a deck and he kind of shot the idea down. Now yesterday he brought up the fact that I wanted a deck and where would be find ideas for decks.

If you FAX your room request to the Resort you are staying at...you will probably be granted it.

They ONLY time I ever got my request is when I faxed it. I want First floor, either pool or lake view...and the COLDEST room they have!

Some people even give precise room #'s!
