It's going to get warmer as the week goes on, so you should be fine. I'm about 90 miles north of NYC and it's usually about 10 degrees colder here. This morning it was 40 here and 50 in the CIty. I'd bring a light jacket for nighttime, but don't worry, you won't need a winter coat!

oh that is good!!! I ACTUALLY do have one....just can't recall the last time i 'wore' it

yeah - am really looking forward to this....you know how that anticipation is the 1st time you go anywhere....as many times as we had been to DL....the anticipation for our 1st WDW trip & then our 1st cruise was SOOOO exciting!!!!

It's been a good day so far, John took me out to the flea market and to breakfast, we met Rose and Ed out there too. He bought me flowers and a cheesecake! We even found a few Mickey trinkets to add to my collection~

I gotta go to my sister's for a bbq soon...I just wanted to come by and say hi first!

Rockin' busy getting ready for my parents to return to Florida from their summer in Michigan and tinknutt & her DH from their travels. They are arriving around 9/24-25 and I'm headed out tomorrow to Orlando for a week, so everything has to be done today!

He is really the best thing that's ever happened to me~

I got to see lots of friends and family, my mom got me a new book on Walt, An American Original by Bob Thomas and a towel from Epcot. Rose gave me a collector's pin set...the one Collector's Pin Set I looked at at DisneyLAND! (I didn't buy it, she must've snuck aroud behind me and got it for me...she is the bestest friend~)

Rose was asking about watching the game at ESPN on the 30th, she wasn't sure what time the Eagles were playing. She will not be happy, they play the late game...we will be in the air when it starts. It's a good things games last as long as they do tho, she will only miss about a half hour of it~no worries~

Hope everyone's day is going good so far.

We had a skills check off today. Just basically doing drug calculations and drawing up meds in syringes. Also practiced giving shots on hot dogs and oranges.

We also praticed doing foley's and nasogastric tubes.. on dummies of course

Oh and we have this fake arm with veins. We practiced starting IV's. When you get a stick there's a red fluid that comes out that looks like blood. Pretty neat...

Oh did I mention the Phlebotomy students need real arms to pratice on so our teacher said if we voluntered our veins for them to stick we would get 10 extra points on our final.

The whole class said they would do it. Now I'm okay with sticking other people... but when I am getting sticked.. esp by new students with no experience... But I didn't want to be the only one not voluntering so I went along with the class

I'm sure I'll live through it

I'm also having DISboard withdrawal symptoms.

I've not caught up since Friday, only am able to trust reading this page.

I did not forget. We had company this weekend and the airplane competition that I worked at so I was not able to get near the computer at all.

I cant watch when I give blood, I have to look the other way...and if there is somebody on the table next to me...I have too look at the ceiling! I CANT watch ANY of the CSI shows...without barfing!
