Yummm, Betsy. I'd love to come and trick or treat at your house.

Gonna be kinda hard to find our way there with only a Post Office Box number:lmao:

Maybe you better send us over some directions:thumbsup2

My mother and I went out for a bit of a drive today. We ended up getting an agriculture lesson;)

We saw them harvesting sugar beets, brussel sprouts (which we didn't even know were really grown around here), saw onions in the fields, winter wheat is growing. We also saw a few surprises.... bean fields that are just starting to grow and also some corn fields with corn up about a foot or so:confused3 Don't understand those because it's almost winter:confused: Also saw something that we thought was a huge field of radishes:confused3 :confused3

Anyway, it was an interesting drive. Now I need to find me a farmer to answer my questions for me:thumbsup2

Have a great day.

Oh yeah..........

Liz said she had to scrape the windows of her car this morning :scared1: :scared1:

Don't like the sounds of that:guilty:

For you DU:

HEALTH ALERT -- DANGEROUS NEW VIRUS There is a dangerous virus being passed around electronically, orally, and by hand. This virus is called Weary-Overload-Recreational-Killer (WORK).

If you receive WORK from any of your colleagues, your boss, or anyone else via any means DO NOT TOUCH IT. This virus will wipe out your private life completely.

If you should come into contact with WORK, put your jacket on and take two good friends to the nearest grocery store. Purchase the antidote known as Work-Isolating-Neutralizer-Extract (WINE) or Bothersome-Employer-Elimination-Rebooter (BEER).

Take the antidote repeatedly until WORK has been completely eliminated from your system.

You should forward this warning to 5 friends. If you do not have 5 friends, you have already been infected and WORK is controlling your life.

Morning all!

There was frost on the pumpkin this morning! On the windshield too!:scared1: But you all know I love this weather! Went to Syracuse yesterday for state band competition. It was a beautiful day for a drive! Good thing seeing as we spent most of the day in the car. 3 hours there, and 3 hours back! The fall colors were beautiful. We had tio be on I-81 South for just a little bit so I waved SOuthward to DalPal when I saw the sign for Binghamton!

DU~ Take cruisin's advice! I'd go for the Wine. I prefer that to the beer!

Gooooooooood Mornin TK'ers

Lets just file this story under Thread Killers Dad problems!;)

I took my father to the PODIATRIST this am. He had a 8:15am appointment (so much for sleeping late:headache: ). So anyway we go, they call him in the office. I am sitting there reading "Feet Today" magazine:rolleyes: (did you know just how many things can go WRONG with the human foot? :scared1: ) ) So I read a few articles, and Pop comes out, with his shirt half hanging out of his pants...and his fly open! :headache: :rolleyes1

"WTH went on in that office?" I ask:confused3
"Nutin...whadda ya mean?" he mumbles

As we are making his next appointment (for MUCH LATER in the day) The Podiatrist assitant comes over to me....."The next time you come, please tell your father that there is no need for him to take his pants off":scared1: :scared1:

Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa?????? It seems like Dad was confused as to which Doctors office he was in, and when the assitant left him in the room she said, "Please take your shoes & sock off and wait here for the Doctor."

Pops heard "Please take your pants off and wait here for the Doctor":sad2:
He did leave his shoes & socks on!!!!:rolleyes1

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Brenda, you just HUSH up now with that talk of warm temperatures and no frost:sad2: Didn't your mama ever teach you it's not nice to tease your friends:confused3 :rotfl2:

What IS this spray of which you speak DU??

Betsy, visiting you is high on my list of things to do. Your area looks absolutely gorgeous. ::yes::. Won't be during the winter though;) I will definitely let you know when I need those directions.

PD, glad you made your drive there and back safely. It sounds like me, always having to drive somewhere:rolleyes:

DU, your poor dad, and the poor doctors office. He couldn't help it:confused3

I know when I went to visit my dad in the home on the weekend, I saw MUCH more of his next door neighbour than I was wanting to:scared1: . Dad has a private room but he shares a bathroom with the guy next door. There is a door that opens from each room to the bathroom and is generally left open. Well, here comes the guy next door with his pants down to his knees:scared:

I'm like...... oh hi Norm. How ya doing:rotfl2: You might want to pull up those pants:eek: He didn't seem to much care. I suppose it IS his home and his bathroom and if he wants to walk around with his pants around his ankles, who am I to tell him he can't:lmao:

THEN,later, went for a tour of the halls with dad and decided he needed a sweater. Went back to his room to get one and there is Norm again, sitting on the toilet this time with the doors wide open.

Oh well, you never know what you get when you visit the nursing home.:goodvibes

Betsy, what is the cat is Pinocchio called??

How about one of the names from the Artistocats?

Sad note here today.

My mom called to tell me that my brothers boxer Cash died this morning.

Cash was a great dog, wonderful personality and temperment. Huge guy but never hurt anybody. My mothers pug would literally jump up and latch onto poor Cash's lips and hang on him

Cash attended all of our family functions and everybody loved him.

I'm not sure how old he was but he had a heart condition and lived for years longer than was originally expected.

Cash spent most of his days with my mother, hanging out at her shop at home and playing outside and begging for treats from people who came in the door.

He spent the rest of his time with my brother and his family at home.

Every now and again you get one of those pets that is truly remarkable. That was Cash.

Rest in Peace my old friend.:sad1:

brat

lymi ;)

Betsy, what's your smiley source? I need an arms folded harumphing smiley and a sticking out the tongue smiley about now...

:)

You gotta laugh at that one DU...you just gotta...next time you may wanna do what Betsy does---jic ;)

Betsy, you should do a progressive series out your bedroom window. Every day you should take a picture from the same spot at the same time of day. Ever see the ones done for pregnant people? like that.

I hear ya about friends and kids and driving. I am in a whole new world now. I have my days for me. My kids drive themselves or with others now. no more soccer, no more school. I kinda miss it but really don't. btdtgio~been there done that glad its over :)

Looks like the theme for this week should be doors and drawers! Robin! o.m.g.

if you're gonna go into their world you really need a sense of humor. Tell me, you laughed at that later, didn'cha...go ahead. admit you laughed after the shock wore off.

I am ready for my new Monday...got my coffee, I add cinnamin in the coffee grinds and lotsa cream and sugar. Went and got my sunday (want ads) paper. There's supposed to be more in this issue more up my alley. I am leaning into graphic arts, printing and trying to find a way into using my photography more. If there's anything lacking in the want ads its jobs in the artistic venue. I mean tv and video too. I am totally encompassing media and artistic promotions in my aspirations. There are studios near me (Philly.) This line of work would allow me to earn good money and still work from home. I am also toying with doing craft fairs by printing and matting the scenic stuff I do.

I've made up my mind and am buying myself a Nikon D40. I've been reading and comparing cameras for the last four days. It's cheaper and said to be better than the d80. There is a d40x, so I looked at that to see what the difference was. It was said to be minimal and the basic d40 is still a better price. My next step is to see who has the best price...I have a photo session scheduled for next week and should have my new toy in my hand before saturday :goodvibes:
