mamajoan did not buy any candy that she liked this year.... need to keep those Blood sugars in line.......hard to do when there are snickers and baby ruths in the house.... so I got Blowpops and nerds and sweet tarts.. yucky.... but the kids love em'

Have you guys ever heard of Buttermilk pie? I have a recipe but have never ventured to make it.

Sorry Joan, haven't tried buttermilk pie. For me, I can leave ALL cakes AND pies behind. Not big on sweets, desserts, etc. Now starches..potato chips, fries, bread.........Gimme MORE!

Joan, with DMIL's passing, I'm having 'issues' with Thanksgiving. Haven't committed to anyone's house yet, or a dish. I'm trying to find out what DFIL is doing before I commit to Mom, for Kelly & myself anyway.

So sorry I haven't been around in days. We're in the middle of ice hockey and swim lessons, ballet classes and rehersals, guild meetings and vet trips. I'm exhausted! There were a few days the computer didn't even get switched on. So until January I may be missing more than being here, unfortunately!

Yes! How 'bout them there Steelers?!?! That wasn't even a game! They have to toughest two out of their way. Cleveland may try to run on them more but I think the Steelers can handle them. I just worry about them trying to maintain this level of performance. Time will tell!

BP...another butt-kicking weekend. I had my best score of the entire season this week! I more than double some of my previous scores. I'm tied for second so I can't let up now. Congrats to you and dig in because we've still got lots of football ahead!!

Luckymommy, I know what a busy life is like

Sounds like there was plenty of conversation going on here last night.

I got new glasses yesterday and I got such a headache and nausea from trying to adjust to them. Still trying to adjust to them today.

There is not such a big change in them but my old glasses were bent and so my eyes had adjusted to them. Now they have to adjust to new glasses that are where they should be.

At least now I can pick up a box or package and read the printing on it. Before it was sooo annoying I had to look over the glasses to read stuff.
