Okay I will try this again, since I lost my last post due to DISboards going down momentarily

Hey Weny, MaMudduck, I think you might have been right about who was stealing my fish.

Last night I covered the pond up really tightly with old sliding door screen door and old window screens, anchored down with bricks and patio stones.

Nothing was moved over night and all fish seem to be doing okay. I think if it were raccoons they would have been smart enough to at least try to move the bricks or to try to break through the screen to get at the fish.

Our house is on the edge of the city. Beyond our backyard is farmer's fields. One day last week I was out that way and directly behind us about 2 country concession roads away I saw a heron standing in the water in the ditch. All of a sudden, it just popped into my mind that I had seen this bird. Now , the lightbulbs are popping off in my head and oh yeah, maybe that is my thief.

So I think if I keep it mainly covered during the day, to allow the frogs access out and totally covered at night I might be able to save my fish Here hoping at least

Hi everyone!

Hope ya'll are having a great day! I took Holly doggie to get groomed, then volunteered til 2pm. After that, I came home & hubby and I had a piece of (lo-carb) bread with peanutbutter! When was the last time you had a little kid snack? It was yummy!

Then we took a nap to a summer thunderstorm and voila! Here I am ready to chat with the threadkillers!

Ya'll have been awfully quiet these last few days - can I assume there are big going on's with everyone?

Hello everyone! I just mainly read the boards last night. Was feeling kinda and after my late night, 'happy night' Saturday.

I went and had the final crown on my tooth done this morning, followed with DD getting her ears pierced, followed with exercise, followed with dinner, followed with a meeting at school, followed with .......hmmmmmm...... DISing!!!!

Glad you're back! I saw your post on the Labor Day Challenge....congratulations! You're bound to make your goal! I'm only 3/10, bummed, but the inches are disappearing, so that feels good!

We've lost about the same amount of weight (actually, I'm around 52). I lost mine over a 3 year period - mostly pre-wish.

Night everyone! It's 11:05 and I'm getting up and walking 3 miles with hubby in the morning. Football is over and I've reached a chapter in my book. Perfect timing!

Thanks Ann! We're neck and neck, huh?! I hope I make the goal, but nothing's certain these past weeks.

Yes, that is who I used so I guess that is a possibility.

I used to know how to post pictures, Robin, back in the old days. But then the DIS stopped hosting them. Now, they're hosting again, but it seems to be down a lot.

Also, my own pictures are on picture CD's, and I don't remember how to transfer them. I'm sure a brief lesson, and I'd pick it up again, but without the DIS board being up, there's no point.
