Oh okay, Robin....I see your point....always candy coating and not giving the full perspective.

Kim, it is a rather hair raising experience to open your email box and see forth bazillion emails from one thread! LOL

Good morning folks! Well, It's 8am and I'm up! I set the alarm because I wanted to enjoy a b'fast without fighting Sunday crowds. But, my tummy is a little upset, so I have to figure out if I really want to do this! Mostly I want a fountain diet soda and my book, so I'll probably go anyway.

Cruisin, Kim, MMF and BP.....you forgot this smilie:rotfl:
I did a lot of that last night. MMF, sorry I missed you. I just had too many late nights in a row! Even Wendy went to bed early!

Well, not much planned today. After b'fast, I'm going to stop at Blockbuster and pick up a few movies that Tom isn't partial to, watch them and do some laundry. Just stay home and have a quiet day. Went to church last night, as per usual, so I don't have to go anywhere else!

Ya'll have a great Sunday. Had a wonderful time this weekend chatting with everyone! Annie

Good Afternoon. I just decided to poke on the boards for fun....Tom is calling today at 1....he's having b'fast in California with my brother today and I wanted to talk to them both. How are you doing?

I'm have a quiet, restfull day. I finished a book, watched a bit of a movie and have the last load of laundry in the washer.

:wave2: Well, I got rather a late start to the day today ;) , I don't know why  :teeth:

So I have had breakfast, showered, sorted out and started the laundry so I thought I would check in for a few minutes and see what was happening on here.

When is Tom supposed to be home Ann. Did you have a nice talk with him and your brother (was that 1pm your time or his time??)

Yup, the late nights are fun but they will soon have to stop for me. School starts on the 7th of September and my daughter's school is starting one hour earlier this year at 8 am instead of 9. I couldn't get her up and going for 9, I don't know how she is going to make it to school for 8:confused: I guess she will be playing her favourite game of dodge the Vice Principal again this year ;)

Hey Robin! Tom will be home Wednesday evening. I had a wonderful time speaking to both him and my brother - yeah it was 1pm with the three hour time difference - they both sounded great!

I just got up from a nap. I started another book and got sleepy! So, I'm going to take a shower and go somewhere for an early dinner. Nothing big and low-carb! Probably out for something Tom doesn't like.....it's always a good opportunity!

It sounds like your daughter is a teenager with all the sleeping she does! What grade will she be in? My dad was a military man, so we kept fairly strict hours! But, we were 7 kids growing up in one house and another generation! I went to bed at 9pm everynight til the day I graduated from high school, unless I was with my parents. A lot of my friends didn't even have to be in their homes til 11pm. Sometimes it was hard to swallow, but I didn't mind too much!

Well, you take care, I'm going to hop in the shower. Hi everyone else - threadkillers & lurkers alike. Hope you're all having a great day!

Hi Ann.

My daughter is 17 and will be going into Grade 12 or as I have heard it called in the US, the 12th Grade!

Wow 9pm bed time for a teenager. I guess that was in another generation but a lot of people do still hold to those kinds of rules today I think. Not in this house though. We are pretty lax about rules. You know, we have not had any real trouble with either one of our kids even though we are so laid back around here. Neither one smokes, drinks, does drugs or gets into trouble with the police. We have been very, very , very lucky with our kids ::yes::

Have a good dinner, I am going to throw some steaks on the barbeque I think. I don't know what else we are going to eat but I think my daughter will not be home, so it will be just the two of us.

:wave2: everybody,:wave2: Having a good Sunday???????

Good evening Threadkillers & Lurkers alike!

I stayed up watching a movie and just checking in to say good night! I watched "Bandits" with BillyBob Thornton, Cate Blanchette and Bruce Willis. It's about 5-7 years old. It's a Lawrence Kasdan film - I'm pretty sure, I checked the box, but it's a typical Blockbuster box and I didn't feel like popping it back in! Anyway, his films are quirky and odd, but I like them.

I think we ALL decided that we had too many late nights in a row! I'm skipping off to bed. Meeting DD for b'fast in the morning!

Ya'll take care and if you do chat tonight - try not to get your toga's dirty - I just did laundry!
