Double Mocha Frappuccino.. cause everybody knows that a meal with squirrel is not quite right without Starbucks!

I have to share something... cause it just tickles me to no end!

I have been checking airfare from the Bay area to St. Louis for Sept... non stop flights have been running $412... yikes....

but last night I checked again ( I had heard a rumor that airline tickets were to go on a big sale..) and DANG, I got San Francisco- St. Louis roundtrip, nonstop.. for $166.50!!!!
That means... for 4 tickets I saved $982 YAY!!!

We are headed to St. Louis for eldest daughter's wedding in Sept.
Gosh I adore a good bargain!

American did the trick! It is nearly impossible to get a nonstop to St. Louis from the bay area... none available from San Jose at all...
I don't mind the extra 30 miles up to SFO...
now I am on the hunt for a great deal on rentacars.. in need of a fullsize/premium or minivan for a week... a hunting I will go!


I think I did read on the itinerary that Squirrel Nachos were being served as the snack... with Brie of course.. for the city folk...

maybe that caused the decline in ticket prices?!

Well, funny you should ask about the bobbin and weaving Brer_Papa.

I am thinking about taking a dance class from my daughter's teacher. Now, I am not that much of a dancer but she makes it very simple for us "older" adults who don't move as well as we should or have such a good memory for remembering which move comes next.

I am only a little scared that I will look ridiculous doing hip hop style dancing Looks like fun though. The teacher's mom is taking the class and she showed me tonight what they are doing and I think I could handle it.

Good thing there is no mirror in that dance studio I really don't think I could do it with a mirror staring back at me.

I could also use the exercise. I need to get moving here!!

Hi gang. Just back from the hospital. Had sugery yesterday on my throat, nose , and sinus. A bunch of soft tissue was removed from the soft palate at the back of my mouth and the uvala at the back of my throat and my deviated septum was corrected. This part of the surgery will hopefully eliminate my sleep apnia.
In the course of many doctor visits and radiological scans since 2/11 a blockage has consistently appeared in my left sinus cavity. All this material was removed yesterday and turned out to be a tumor. The doctor is fairly confident that it is benign but he sent it to pathology and I should have the final answer by next Wednesday.

I've never asked before but please keep me in your prayers and thoughts for the next week.

Phil, Of course we'll keep you in our prayers. That sounded like some surgery you had! I wonder what people without computers did after that type of surgery?......they couldn't do too much talking! Best of luck and please keep us posted.

Mamajoan, can you help me keep BrerPapa & Cruisin separated? It looks like a MAJOR food fight is about to break out. I do love Brie cheese, so send some my way. I used to make it with roasted garlic on top then all wrapped up in a pie crust.....yumm.

We walked this morning, then our daughter & grandson met us at the mall. We visited for about an hour. Now we're home and catching up on laundry.

Brer_Papa, my day has been pretty good. I took my daughter to her horse riding lesson and sat in the adirondak style chair on the covered porch and watched the group ride, listened to the birds singing!!!! I thought to myself........... life doesn't get much better than this...... unless of course the horse ring could be turned into a nice lake
