One day....

said she was interested in taking dancing lessons to the theme song from the Thread-Killers thread....

thought that was a good idea....



so they went on ebay and bought some veils and some castanets....

started her dance lessons...complete with veils...and she could click a mean castanet I will tell you....

one day, decided she was ready for her debut....

she took the stage and -ed at the crowd...

provided the music with his one-man-band....

and she danced....



the Thread-Killers went wild!

When I checked my email I got notices that you replied to the Thread Killers thread but............ I couldn't get on
I kept getting the servers are busy page

But I am on now, who knows for how long?!?!?!?

Howdy Stepharoonie, I don't know if we've met.....I'm a threadkiller groupie! Hope your day is going well.

Today, I had another mammogram (I think it's my 12th in about 20 years!) Just a follow-up, no need for concern! However, they're about as fun as poking yourself in the eye with a stick!

I'm going to go to the movies today....not sure, but I think I'll see the Bourne Supremacy. I saw the first one and enjoyed it. I like about any kind of movie, but the oldies are my favorites.

After that, it's housework - gotta be done and I ain't won the lottery yet!

It sounds like you have another full day planned.

I have to hit the shower and get moving today. I should go to work and clear off my desk.

I have started watching "Third Watch" on tv at 11 with my son in the mornings. It is kind of a mother-son time together . He likes that kind of program. I guess it is because he is going to be a paramedic and he has finished his nurses training, so he finds it interesting.

So after I eat I will head into work and see what the guys are up to today!!!

well..last night...because the Boards got all whacky...AGAIN...

I got bored....so....I went to another board I have been known to frequent...

did a little experiment....

I did a posting....and waited an hour to see how many replies and views I got...

then, after the hour elapsed....I did a second posting....only changing the "SUBJECT" .....to see if the change drew more replies and views....

here are the postings then the results...

the first posting:

Subject: My Wife is out jogging.

TEXT MESSAGE: She is at the local High School track and hopes to run 2 miles.

the second posting: (I used a different user name...but signed it with my original one...)

Subject: My Wife is out running around.

TEXT MESSAGE: She is at the local High School track and hopes to run 2 miles.

the results:

First post had 2 replies and 27 views...
both replies had words to the effect about being healthy.....

Second post had 19 replies and 334 views....most of the replies had words to the effect that I am an butt.....

so....the lesson learned is it's how you make the presentation...not what you're saying...

NOT that this would happen here of course... ...and that place has NO WHERE near the membership as here...

Hi i think i may well be a thread killer... nobody at all submits anything after,what i have said,back in the uk. take for instance tonight,last to submit a reply to someone, what happens after that?????? ............................there you go , nothing ,,,nothing at all.... what, so, ever.. last to reply, nobody there!!!!...What is it with these people....Only joined their website on Monday,& already wanting to quit.probably killed this thread too... sorry

I just got back from Back to School shopping with the 14 y/o who is now a freshman.....

and it was not too bad....

I think she only rolled her eyes once in 3 hours... AMAZING...

and I braved a sale a PAC SUN!!! which ain't easy for any parent let alone one in a w/c... that is absolutely the most crowded store ..... whew... felt like I was being sucked up by capri pants and belly shirts!!!!

Back to school shopping mamajoan . We still have half of the summer left before we have to go back to school!!! When do the schools start back where you are? Ours go back the day after labour day.

No birds in my shower today, Brer_Papa!!! I am alive and well thank you very much.

Tonight my son had 4 friends over to play a game, Babylon 5??? My basement was invaded by 5 - 19/20 year old guys, so I steered clear of here for a few hours. Then I had to take my daughter to dance class from 9 - 10 and am now just getting around to catching up on you guys over here!!!

So I see you guys have been behaving quite well this evening

That was interesting that little experiment with words that you did Brer_Papa. Amazing how just changing a few words makes a lot of difference in perception isn't it

Hollyann, I must say that I agree with you about the stories Brer_Papa tells us. And yes Brer_Papa, the "boy" sure does have the gift of gab And he may continue using that gift around here whenever he wants to!!
