Once upon a time....in a land by a Lake... a shy guy, :earsboy: , was going about his business.....

:earsboy: liked to talk to hs friends at one of ::MickeyMo 's places.....

Oh, they were a  bunch..... including the weisen- :jester: heimers....

but they all had such a good time! Truly :sunny: all the time....always  so much, they :rotfl: -ed a lot....

a polite group too ...

always  -ing or :wave2: -ing to all who entered.....

well...one day, a princess: told :earsboy: about the lurkers....

my goodness, he was SO shy...

he went to the hardware store and bought a lurker-sweeper....

after 2 weeks of reading the directions...he flipped the switch to "ON"....

:space: :space:

went the lurkers.....

he got so good with the lurker-sweeper, that he could sit in his phone booth and flip the switch to "ON" and

:teleport: :teleport: :space:

went the lurkers......

One day, a gust of wind...either from the west by northwest or from the west...no one knows for sure...

blew shut his phone booth door....while the switch was flipped to "ON"

uh oh!

:space:

went the shy guy.....

Has he joined the lurkers? Or is he windier than the lurker-sweeper?

Stay tuned for next week's episode ....

Awww BP, are you having nightmares or something about lurkers? :( They're harmless really, and maybe, just maybe, they'll join this  bunch of DISers! :p

Darn, it happened again.... I go away from the computer for a while and I miss something important.

I demand that you re-open those polls :o , I didn't get to vote :snooty:

I also noticed the new signature. You tell those old signature police whose boss ;)

OH NO!!!!! give us back our shy guy in the phone booth, from a land by a Lake, he belongs here with us, not with the alien lurkers!!

How can we possibly wait until next weeks' installment of the story.:hyper: to see how it turns out!!

I doubt nothing about you Mr. Brer_Papa. If you set your mind to it, I believe that you can do anything :cheer2:

You decide tho, Ann! ;)

Oh Oh Oh.

Do I detect some ballot tampering going on here????

:smooth:

Now I have to rethink my vote ::yes::

I was not the best behaved in Hollyann's absence, because .....

Where's the fun in that!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:p

Robin, if you turn on secret decoder screen F7, it'll read:

Tip for Robin...in order to behave, you have to AVOID this thread, at all costs! That was my secret. :p ;) ;)

Now, on to the voting!

Well, then I t'ain't never gunna behave, no how!

Life sure would be dull without you guys and the thread-killers thread.

I said Hello HollyAnn...
it's time to vote....
I really do hope that you'll vote for me....

I said Hello HollyAnn....
just sign the note....
I'm the best behaved that could ever be....

Here's a ballot and here's a pen...
Check by my name and you'll see then..
Just how misbehaved the rest of them really are....

and if the voting ends in a tie...
we'll say I won and wink one eye...
and take off really fast in my yellow car....

so, Hello HollyAnn...
I wasn't bad....
Hello HollyAnn ....
from a happy lad...

how's that for tampering?

Good Morning Threadkillers and lurkers!

I'm not sure I'll be able to stop laughing enough to vote! Ya'll are TOO funny!

First off Cruisin! That's amazing! 125 wpm?! WOW! Did you go into the administrative field later on? I think if I ever reached 125 wpm, my fingers would fall off! That is truly an amazing speed! Should I vote for you because of your speed? Your agility at the key board?

Kim, you were the first to notice that BrerPapa's signature had changed. You are so observant and thoughtful! Should I vote for you for your powers of deduction and reasoning? Your thoughtfulness?

BrerPapa, you are such a good story teller! You keep all of us at the DISBoard, Threadkillers amused and happy. Should I vote for you to get the next chapter in your story? Should I consider the adorable poem/song a bribe or a measure of your talent?

OR.....should I vote for my darling husband who was stabbed in the back with a 9 inch needle and didn't cry? You have to admit - that's pretty well behaved! While he did have anesthesia and some joy juice, should he get full credit for just showing up?

Hmmmmm.......

Okay where to begin (while I sit here typing with tears rolling down my face from laughing at you silly people!!)

BP, you are a truly talented song writer and story teller. What kind of work do you do to bring home the money?? Maybe when you retire you could volunteer at the children's library or the pediatric wards at the hospital and keep the children entertained.

Can't you just see Brer_Papa in a clown suit with big floppy shoes telling the little kids stories  I think he would be very good at it.

Hollyann, I spent 2 years, (commuting one hour/living at home), full time at University and then I got a job at a bank starting as a teller. When I got married I moved to a city 1 hour away, where my University was and continued to work in the bank (got a transfer) and went to University part time. It took me 7 years to get a University degree which I never used but I can say that I have it at least. When my son was born I quit work and stayed home with my kids. My husband used to have a side business of computer consulting which I kept the books for at home. Then he decided to go into business doing the actual work he was consulting for (making things out of metal with big ugly machines:teeth: ) tool and die style stuff. So we expanded our business 5 years ago, rented a building (which we now own), bought machines etc. So I spend time there keeping the office paper work done, invoicing, paying bills etc.

So the only use I have for my typing prowess is typing invoices and DISing::yes::

So basically I am still a stay at home mom most of the time, going to work when necessary to keep my desk in order. Best of both worlds!!

HMMM, you are going to have a tough job deciding who to vote for there from your list of candidates!! Good luck

Have a good day :sunny:

I think Brer_Papa is trying to bribe the voters with gifts of song and poetry ::yes::

That's okay, keep up the good work.

  I would never, ever do anything like Brer_Papa said I did   :teeth:

Honest!!

Hope you got some sleep this morning Brer_Papa!!

would I resort to bribery?

Hmmmm....don't answer...why would my halo need polishing huh?

so....Hello HollyAnn! :wave2:
(how many hours before that song quits playing in your head today?)

:invisble ink: I got ot my slide rule....and I did some ciphering...
125 wpm is a snap for people with 14 fingers by my calculations...but I could be wrong....:/invisible ink:

Ahoy Cruisin' ! :boat:

Up early today huh? barely past 11 here.... :)

me as a clown? sheesh.... a kilt and makeup?

well....the idea does have possiblities....maybe a red rubber nose would protect me from nose-flicks....

Aaaaah.... my read is you are an intregal part of the family business, keep up the good work!

well....i need to get busy..... a quiet day here....sometimes a quiet day is a good day...

hope your day is a great day :sunny:

oops... Hi Kim! tooth ok today? hope all is well....

hello lurkers.... :yo-yo: we know you're out there....

jump in.... we don't bite...

say hello.... they (you know who) have to get to know you a while before they flick your nose.....

:wave2:

A major thunderstorm is just passing through this area. My son just came home and he heard on the radio that there was a report of a funnel cloud sighted right in our area

I didn't notice anything, but maybe it wasn't too close to here.

We had a little twister go right through our neighbourhood in 1989. Pulled bricks and siding off the neighbours house, uprooted lots of trees etc. Our house must have been just on the edge because it only really took out the little piece of fence that goes from the side of the house to the side fence and stole a lawn chair from the back yard. I never did find that chair back.

I am DISing from the basement, so I'm okay::yes::

14 fingers huh Brer_Papa, unfortunately we are both drinking the water that comes from Lake Erie :teeth: At least we get ours before it gets to you. ;)

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: Robin, I almost spit on my secret decoder screen, and you knowwhat that does to B3 settings!!! :headache: ;)

You all have been quite silly today.

Robin, I hope you remain safe, and out of harm's way.

Ann, I concede the election, your DH wins hands down, my wisdom tooth can not even compete with that poor man! :( I pray he's feeling better, and those results come in ASAP!

No Wendy or montessori today? :sad1: Miss you!

As for you BP! What about the private message I received from you during Hollyann's absence? You took a bite of a twinkie...told me it tasted funny, and asked me if I thought it smelled funny......then, you twinked me! Nasty white filling all over my nose! Why I oughta............;) :p

Good thing I all ready conceded the election. ::yes::

Back to playing nice everyone. OK?

:teeth:
