The only type of Bingo I've ever played, is where you can double down, stand on a 16, and we don't shout Bingo, you shout BLACK JACK

oh yes and I've played :o "Farmer Brown he had a dog and Bingo was his name oh, B-I-N-G-O, B-I-N-G-O ,B-I-N-G-O and bingo was his name oh"

Wow, loads of jokesters around here today!

Ann, I'm so glad to read that DH is doing as well as expected. More prayers for you while you await the results. :grouphug:, too.

BP, it's a wonder why PA wants to do anything with you! I know we all find you hysterical, but I know sometimes it takes a saint at home to tolerate that hugely hysterical, public (AND private) personna! ;) :p So, have you had dinner yet? ;) I have a little meatloaf left over from tonight, and since I shouldn't eat it again tomorrow, you're welcome to it.

So Robin, you got gypped outta $57 then? ;)

The only Bingo I play every year, is at our family picnic, and is called Dirty Bingo. You bring dollar-store-type items, wrapped up, everyone plays, and as you get a BINGO, you go collect a prize...that is, until they're gone....then you start playing DIRTY! You go and steal from other winners. Nice family, huh?? :teeth: The final round IS for money tho. $1 card, 1/2 the pot to the picnic money for next year, and 1/2 to the winner. I'll be missing most, if not all, of this year's picnic since we're arriving home that same day. :(

Had another boring day here today. The rod for the window still did NOT arrive. So, I baked cupcakes and brownies for my bro's 40th BD on Thursday. DD helped me decorate the cupcakes with a wide variety of sprinkles.....Red, white & blue, colored stars, Christmas color sprinkles, and those really little hard round thingies. What a mess of a masterpiece she created! I did the lettering. What a .......well, you know. ;)

:wave2: everyone! Sleep well tonight!!!

I have been upstairs "storm watching". There is a major thunderstorm going through our area right now. Very powerful thunder and lightening and hard downpours.

The power keeps flickering so hopefully I don't lose it or I will have to go to bed and forget DISing:mad: Actually I SHOULD go to bed and forget DISing ;)

Of course you are right Kim. We all think Brer_Papa is hilarious, all of the antics he tells us he gets up to. But.........we don't have to live with him :p

Maybe we should send Princess Ariel, some PM's and ask her how she does it :earseek: ;)

Sounds like you had fun baking today Kim. I went to the grocery store and to work this afternoon.

Hey MaMudduck, I have played that farmer version of BINGO too! Bet I could even play it on the piano if I tried really hard :teeth:

Good Morning Thread killers!

DH is feeling fine today. We're going to take it easy and read this afternoon. Went to breakfast - did some major cheating on the diet, but we'll be good for the rest of the day!

We're not expecting the pathology reports for a few days, so it's the perfect time to get warp-speed on our computer. We'll be down for a couple of days, so I'll shout at ya when we get back on-line!

Behave you crazy kids!

Okay, Hollyann, we will behave while you are gone , won't we everybody ::yes::

(Hahaha, if she believes that one.....................)

Hurry back Hollyann, we will miss you.:sunny:

OK! the coast is clear!

I have a little meatloaf left over from tonight, and since I shouldn't eat it again tomorrow, you're welcome to it.

Hi Montessori :cloud9:

what a dazzling way to say Good Morning!

Well Hello HollyAnn! (can you see Ozzie Nelson counting the royalties?)

well...i usually do...

well...sometimes i do....

well....maybe i do....

well....I have been known to...

well....in HollyAnn's absence...I'll try to behave....

besides....i don't think she'll be gone long enough for me to get caught....

if i did misbehave...

which I don't admit to anyway....

aaaah Cruisin'! :boat: ....we need to go to Bingo....

:angel shining halo:

I wouldn't embarass you.... ___ <~~~ fine print that says "too much!"

no really! I'd be on my best behavior

well...I have a retirement dinner to go to....sadly, not my retirement :)....

anyway...I am supposed to give a talk....

I have 10 minutes to write it....and they want me to talk for a 1/2 hour....

hmmm....what can I juggle with the 8 minutes left over?

kidding...I've known the retiree for decades....I'll tell some stories....it will be fine...

Brer_Papa:wave2: sure Bingo sounds interesting, only if you are going to help me keep track of the lines on my cards :teeth:
I am not too worried about your behaviour ;), maybe we better pick a city half way between us, so no one knows who we are :smooth:

Good luck on your speech tonight. I am sure that you will have them laughing in the aisles. You could always sing them a song or two to go along with the stories!

Did you find your fiddle yet??

Edited to add: More free food ;)

Ahoy Cruisin' ! :boat:

:) The speech went well...he got a little misty...but other than that...went well..

I also got to hand him his retirement gifts...that made him smile again :)

::yes:: ...i noticed your edit...more free food...and it was goo-o-o-od....

I will do a mapquest on bingo halls and see what turns up! :jumping:

at least I think mapquest will show bingo halls...

:( no sign of the fiddle....the search continues...

well...i may be out of the doghouse...

DW frisked me before we went to bingo...
I had to hand over my harmonicas...my pick-up-sticks....the odd jingle bell or 3....my kaleidoscope....and my whistle before we left yesterday...

when I got home from the retirement dinner, all my goodies were neatly placed on the end table...

things are looking up!

so...how was your day?

awww, isn't that nice...a peace offering, returning all of your goodies to you!

I didn't do anything exciting today.

Got up at 6:10 am to "do" my SON'S hair  before he went on his last shift at the hospital for his nursing training. He has hair that goes to the middle of his back. It has to be up and off of his collar .... school rules :( , which they didn't decide to enforce until 3 weeks ago (after 2 years of schooling). So, we put it in a mid head ponytail, braid the ponytail and bobby pin it down to his head  Big pain in the patootie, specially since he wants mom to help him, cause he can't do it himself. Now he is all done so I won't have to get up so early anymore, :bounce:

The things we do for our kids huh!!

I went shopping at Walmart and got a cute Mickey Mouse statue for the garden marked down. Mickey has a shovel and packages of seed.

Then I took my daughter for her riding lesson at 6 til 7 and then I drove her and her boyfriend to a nightclub sort of place, that features local bands for people of all ages to come in and enjoy. I will probably have to go and pick them up shortly unless they get a ride with someone else.

Of course I DIS'ed off and on.

I guess I did do lots of things today after all.

:wave2: to everyone else who is lurking around out there on the thread killers thread. :teeth:

Night shift checking in.:wave2:

Dh went up to bed and said "don't stay up & watch Tv all night'

I said :o "oh I won't"- He turns around and says:smooth: " or on THAT board either"- :p He knows me sooooooo well, heheee

:p Hi MaMudduck

Mine went to bed a long time ago. He seems to need a lot sleep and I can get by with less. I refuse to go to bed at 9 every night, so here I am on the computer!

MaMudduck I see that you are going to WDW in October.

Are you planning on driving or are you going to fly? How long to drive from Peterborough and which way do you go.

I live in Chatham, so we go through Detroit and it takes us about 19 hours of straight driving time to get to Kissimmee. We usually do it in 2 days though.

Good morning montessori, you were up bright and early this morning!

Serving up Tim Horton's coffee this morning????

I didn't know you could get that in Florida!

Thanks for the cheerful welcome to the new day::yes::

Hey Montessori- You found the GOOD stuff- "Tim Horton’s" :o "Only in Canada you say"

Robin- in 2002 we drove, so I said never again,
in 2003 we flew from Buffalo, much better
This year 2004, DH & dd are flying from buffalo/Baltimore/Orlando.
Me & friends are driving down.

CAA says Peterborough to WDW is 24hr......but when you travel with my hubby its takes 28hrs...he isn't the "road warrior" in the family.
I only done the drive through Detroit, it's shorter in time going through Kingston and down but it's not recommended going thru the mountains at that time of year (I-91??)
This time we are leaving from Mississauga so probably go thru Detroit again.

BTW- today Peterborough was declared a State of Emergency due to flooding

:boat: Here MaMudduck, you can borrow my boat!!!!

I hope that you are staying high and dry! I haven't been listening to any news or watching the weather channel. Here it is windy, cooler than yesterday, but no rain so far. Just looked out the window and the clouds are rolling in, so I hope it doesn't rain.

We have driven to Florida many times and we have also flown quite a few times. We fly out of Detroit when we go. It is easier than getting to Toronto for us. 1 1/2 hours to the airport.

If we have lots of time we like to drive, if time is short then we will fly. There are nice points about both. It is neat to see the weather change in the winter time as you drive down. It is also great to get on a plane and 2 1/2 hours later get off to sunshine and palm trees!!

You will have to "wave" at me when you go by Chatham on the 401!
