Hi everyone! BrerPapa, SO glad to see you back posting! Feel free to add me to your buddy list. Sounds like your grandkids are such gems.

Happy Canada day & 4th of July to everyone! We always go to our neighbors house. They have a huge block party and invite friends from all over. I mean ALL OVER! Last year, there were people from Tennessee, Lousiana & even the Bahamas. Nobody misses Gina's 4th of July party! I even met a voodoo woman from Lousiana that made the BEST bread pudding I've ever had in my life. Of course, I can't eat that stuff now, but it's nice to know I've tried the best.

Well, I walked this morning with hubby, we ran some errands, had lunch and we're getting ready to go to the movies. Ya'll take care and don't get sunburned!

hmmm...a voodoo woman...i used to date a voodooo woman....but I don't think she was good at the voodoo...

after sticking pins in a doll with my likeness with no ill effects...she stuck the pins in me...

I guess that explains why there is no voodoo listings in the yellow pages in PA....

Thanks for the movie heads-up HollyAnn....sounds like one I would want to see...

I am a huge Tom Hanks fan....one of the best male actors around....Al Pacino is a personal favorite too....

what about drive-ins?

sorry, Brer_Papa, hasn't been a drive-in theater in "these here parts" for gosh I don't know how many years now. There are houses built on the property where the drive-in once stood. Though I have many fond memories of that establishment from my younger years!

Sounds like you have a recipe for more than just enjoying the movie

Problem solved!

Just go to the house that is built on what was your favorite drive-in movie spot !

Knock on the door....take some corn...a soft drink....set back in their recliner...and enjoy the movie....

We still have a couple drive-ins around "these here parts"

Last time we went...we took the Corvette...

T-Tops off....beautiful evening....

Oh MY!!! Do NOT ask about some of my former drive-in days.

I do miss them tho. Great nights, silly fun, fond memories. As a kid, we took our sleeping bags and laid on the roof of my parent's station wagon! As a parent, I think my oldest DS only saw a couple drive-in movies. As a teen, like I said, DO NOT ASK!

We had 3 local drive-ins that I recall, none exist anymore.

I could try that Brer_Papa, those are some pretty nice houses that are built on the old drive-in. They probably have some nice big screen tv's in there.

That might be a good idea for a summer trip, Kim. See how far we would have to drive to find a drive in movie and take a road trip As good an excuse as any for a vacation!

Well I know there is one in Brer_Papa's neck of the woods so I would have to drive about 6 - 7 hours maybe. Maybe there is one closer?

Hey do they show the "half time" food advertisement at your drive in's. You know the one where the hot dog jumps into the bun. Doesn't the song go something like..........

They showed that last I went! Same OLD 'commercial', only I don't remember the words at all.
