KimRaye Congratulations extended to you and your DD,
It's good that her school is working with her. It's difficult for a child so advanced~they usually wind up at odds with teachers because they just need a little more brain stimulation and the teachers act as if the child is a nuisance.
That's exactly how I felt this teacher was handling Kelly, until this past week. Now, I truly feel my DMIL heard and answered my prayers to her.

I just finished typing a thank you/follow up letter to the SE teacher, with copies to DDs teacher & principal, just to stay connected. This is a small Lutheran school, little over 100 students from pre-k-3 - 8th grade, so I truly hoped & prayed that they would be the best solution for Kelly. It just took some time. I can't imagine how long this might have taken in the public school system, which in my district can have 40-60 kids per GRADE.

I will however continue my course within the public school system though for the testing, but I really just want those results to help her current school, if possible.

Okay Mommy brag coming up here .............
She will get her award in December some time I think. She thinks the school is going to send out invitations to the awards ceremony.
Kind of cool huh, we weren't expecting it, that's for sure
Robin, you go right ahead and brag, and be proud!!! Awards and invitations and a ceremony? Get a new dress!

That is so great, and So COOL!

Congratulations to your DD!! Our kids talents should never be ignored. My average student DS excels in his broadcasting class....it's what he Loves! You may have the next (insert hottest designer here, since I'm NOT cool on who's the best right now), and I may have the next Steven Spielberg.

Now, THAT'S COOL!!!
To wrap it up tonight, I had another whirl-wind day. DS went to school but I had DD and DNephew to entertain since we were all off school & work. We had breakfast, and hit the Mall! Can't believe there STILL is not enough time in the day to do ALL the shopping I want to do!

Imagine that!

We had to cut our shopping trip short, as my husband was stuck at work and couldn't pick up DS, so we left (without our next-stop, ice cream) and picked up DS. Took DNephew home, and raced to DDs art class. Thankfully, my husband came home in time to go back out and pick up DD, while I managed to make dinner. Whew!
Tomorrow, DD has her official Brownie induction, gets a pin and a badge or two. She was excited tonight picking out which uniform pieces she would wear.
Back on track here....I can't tell you how many different variations of HANDCUFFS I've seen since they were mentioned here!

Besides at the Dollar store, I saw them today as a pair of earrings! WHAT is happening?!?!

Too funny!
Well, sweet dreams to you all....I'm sure you're all currently having those, and I'll see ya tomorrow!
