Wow, boards are acting strange right now. Every other time I click on stuff, I get the page is not found message. I hit back and it goes back and I try again and it usually works???? Weird like this for anyone else?????

I hope I don't loose this post when I hit submit.

25 years ago tonight (well technically yesterday but still tonight for Kim :teeth: ) I was dancing up a storm on my wedding night.

I have never had so many men wanting to dance with me at one time. I had the greatest time that night (at the reception :smooth: , the rest of the night is confidential ::yes:: )

Hey, wait! I thought this was just a sleigh ride? You mean I have to do chimneys, too?!?! Are you being fresh BP? ;) :p

I went out about 20 minutes ago to pick up my daughter and niece and it is absolutely beautiful outside right now.

Very still and calm and soooo quiet. The temperature is not warm but it is very tolerable.

Gosh, 25 years is a looooonnnnngggg time to remember the little details :teeth:

It was an absolutely beautiful day 25 years ago on October 20, 1979. The temperature was great, no coats needed all day or into the wee hours of the next morning. It was sunny and fairly windy, beautiful pictures taken with the fall leaves on the ground.

WHAT ????????? ............... not the little details you were wanting to hear :smooth:

CONFIDENTIAL details, not the little ones, altho they're nice. ;)

No problem Kim. I wasn't really expecting you to remember.

I actually let my in-laws into the house today;) . They came bearing an anniversary gift. It was a tea set that belonged to my husband's grandmother in Holland from the 1950's or so I think. It is green with gold trim and has cups and saucers, tea pot and cream and sugar to match. My husband always liked them so they were destined to be his some day, so they gave them to us as an anniversary gift.

The thing is that his mother always loved that set too. She had them displayed all of the time. Do you think it is weird that she gave them to us, now? She has given us some other things lately for Christmas etc. I don't know if she is downsizing or her mental instability is telling her to give things away????

My parents were here also today. My parents and my brothers sent flowers, very pretty. When my mom and dad came over they brought a silver coffee pot/tray/cream and sugar set that they received on their 25th anniversary as a gift from my dad's mom and his sisters.

Now I know my mom never really liked it and it never left the box in 23 years ;) , so I am not thinking it weird that she gave it to us:p . She thinks we should just leave it in the box and hand it off to whatever child has the next 25th anniversary

If you were sitting next to me...you would have seen what I deleted...

Oh, I wouldn't want to bore you with the details. Let's just say that we were a lot younger back then than we are now ;)

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm, now I am wondering what is being deleted in Brer_Papa land tonight :scratchin

With all of this talk of goosing and dropping things ........ ??????
I'm betting that delete button is getting a good work out tonight :yo-yo:

Cruisin' ! :boat:

The passing of a Famly Heirloom is a significant event...

so is 25 years of marriage.....

I found your account of your day touching...

makes it seem like a  is in order....

OK then BP, showered is fresh. ;)

See Robin, 25 years IS a milestone! The set sounds lovely! My MIL had a China set from hubby's grandmother also, a service for 8, but what she did was break it up, and give each child one full setting, with a display thingie. It is displayed.

Silver? Well, it IS traditional. It does need polishing tho. I know, I used to polish my grandma's silver tea set and platter every so often when we went over. Hmmmm, I wonder who got that?
