I only got in 10 minutes of walking while I was at work. I walked instead of taking my car. I had planned on getting in some more last night but I ended up spending 3 hours at Best Buy. Ugh!

I had a "poopy" day at Curves.
Seriously. I was going around the circuit and the lady 3 stations in front of me had had an accident! :earseek: I cut ahead and told her and she slinked out of the place, shirt pulled down over her bottom. Of course, THEN I realize that she had "smudged" up 3 machines....two I had sat on after her!

Since then I just CANNOT shake the image of this lady in white shorts with....well, no need to describe it further.

Shivers up my spine....  :(

I started Body For Life Monday and I worked out my legs yesterday.

Boy, am I sore today:D

I'm glad to see I'm in such good company. Yesterday was pretty much a bust for me, too, Went to walk with DH and instead, he had to go to "The Mall" and pick something up for work. OK says I. We'll mall walk. We only had time for one lap, then we had to go and buy an new cell phone. (ours was "old and busted") Man was I angry. I wasn't really ready to shell out 150 for a phone when the one I had worked fine until last week! Anyway, I was pretty lethargic and had a headache, so I'm not going to beat myself up too much. The good news! My migrain is not bugging me today! Yippee. It has been known to return if I expose myself to stress or allergens, so I'm hanging close to the house today and am going to do my pilates and feel good about it, and then take a nice big salad to DH for lunch and walk with him!
"After all, tomorrow is another day."

Keep the Faith!

OK for a change it sounds as if I'm a day ahead of everyone! My bad day was the evening before and I had an interrupted workout. I still managed to get something in, just not the way I would have liked.

Yesterday I did TM and accomplished a 5k (3.1 mi) at 4 mph for 45 minutes. Then I did .4 mi at 3.5 mph for about another 10 min. I am improving my time and actually think I may complete the 5k I want to do next month. I will sign up soon.

This morning I did 20 min Winsor Pilates. I have gone ahead and purchased The Firm and my delivery came yesterday! I don't know when I will get to this as plans for the weekend are mounting and tonight is hairdresser time.

Everyone, keep at it. Things will improve; I am slowly and surely seeing improvement.

Hi everyone, you all are doing so great. Even if you don't get much in.........some is better than none!

Last night, I did the FIRM Maximum Cardio Burn. That tape kicks my bumm! BIG TIME. I sweated so hard, but it felt good. I sure wish I could get all the moves down. Someday!

I am so proud of myself though, I got up this morning and did the 1 mile WATP's-walk away wieghts. I am going to try to make that a habit- its only 15 minutes. I have a hard time waking up earlier.

Tiger Lily, The FIRM is a lot of fun once you get used to the moves. I just make sure I keep moving if I can't get the moves down or can't keep up.

OhioMinnie- OMG that is so gross. I would have been ready to leave! YUCK!

I did 1 mile WATP before work and the 2 mile after. :)

ohiominnie....when you said you had a "poopy" day at Curves I thought you were just going say you were tired and didn't have a good workout. OMG...how gross...! Ok, now I'm laughing. Sorry.
:(

I did 15 half-hearted minutes on my elliptical. I need a change. Can't get motivated to exercise and my routine is all out of whack!

I did my advanced tae-bo workout and then did lots of weed-wacking with a gas trimmer...boy my arms feel it today!

Twice for me - walking in the morning, and Curves in the evening.

Ohiominnie - I'm trying to figure out how that happened in the first place. I mean, your Curves has a bathroom, right? Maybe I'm ignorant about stuff like this, but how could she NOT know that she had an accident? Absolutely gross, in any case. Sorry you had to deal with that!

AprilN,
I have NO idea!! She's older, probably late 50's-early 60's. After she left all of the older women comiserated and talked about "how easily that happens" YUCK!!

Doesn't matter how old you are, you'd think if you were fit enough to be at Curves, you'd KNOW when you had an accident!

Still shaking my head at this one and having flashbacks of the incident!

Ohiominnie, now I appreciate another reason to always wipe down a machine when you are finished with it. YUCK!

DH wanted to "walk" with me last night, but he said he was too tired to do the 3 mile, so we just did the 2 mile WATP DVD. It is really great to have him start to get interested.

I really wasn't motivated to do much of anything exercise wise yesterday, but I did manage to get a 2 mile walk in.

I walked a mile, that was pretty good for as cruddy as I was feeling yesterday. ( not enough sleep)

I did WATP 3 miles with weights in the morning and WATP 4 mile express and a firm ab tape in the afternoon.

Me!

I did my Curves workout on Wednesday... which was the third day in a row that I have gotten in this week. I am taking today off to rest, but plan on working out tomorrow too. :)

Walked 2 miles with DH. Tried to keep up with his pace, which is MUCH faster than mine! :earseek:
I haven't walked as much lately as I was during the spring because my summer exercise of choice was swimming. I have a lot more endurance now than I did before, but my legs really feel the walking! At least now I don't feel like he is dragging me along behind him - well, at least not most of the time!

Wed after work I went to check out the new CURVES right by my house......loved it and the owner. Signed up for one month and I go tomorrow (Fri) for my first supervised workout. I swore I'd never join another gym (read as, sign another contract!). I like the option of month to month and when I become addicted (I hope!) I'll sign up for a year. Got to get ready for the WDW 1/2 Marathon in Jan 2005:bounce:
I also just bought the WATP tapes, which I plan to do on non-CURVES days.....so, looks like I'll be checking in here too!
