Good morning, everyone!!!

I hope all you WISHers had a fabulous weekend! I did WATP on Saturday, and then DH and I worked in the yard on Sunday, limbing trees, hauling brush, fertilizing the lawn, etc. Man, that's more work than it looks like!

But it felt good to get something accomplished AND get a workout at the same time! Hey! I'm a multitasker!!! :p

I think I'm ready for a new workout. I love WATP, but I'm building up some endurance and it's not as difficult as it once was.

Does anyone know of a good, tough workout on DVD? I'm doing the 4-mile WATP Express Super Challenge - takes about an hour. I'm thinking cardio-type stuff rather than floor work...

So tell the world what you did this weekend - and if you have any recommendations for great, new workouts, I'd love to hear those too!!! You all are the biggest inspiration I've ever found!

Have a super day, everyone, and MAKE GOOD CHOICES!!! You're the best!

Daisy;)

Happy Monday, Daisy!

Glad you got your workout in over the weekend. And WOW, that's alot of yard work!!!! Good for you!

Saturday I did my weight routine but that was it (then helped with the construction of my sister's shed, but I didn't do much calorie burning with the help I was providing!) Yesterday did a 2 mile power walk and finished putting up the shed. Kind of an "exercise light" weekend! ;) Looking forward to my regular routine this week!!!!!!!!

I got back from vacation sat night so I didn't exercise any extra sat - just walking plenty of walking around epcot and then at the airport.

last night I did the 1mile WATP evening tape.

Good morning!

I didn't exercise yesterday but I did the 3 mile WATP on Saturday. :D

I went to the gym yesterday and a long walk on Saturday :) I was feeling a little guilty about all the little treats I had been eating on Thursday and Friday during the blackout. I usually go to the gym three times a week, but this week, I think I'll go for an extra day :p

Ewww...yard work. ;) I wouldn't survive trying to do yard work in this heat. Of course, we've been having heat indexes that top 100 almost every day the past two weeks, and UV ratings of very high, which is *not* good with asthma. :/ Glad you enjoyed it, though. :)

Had a great weekend here!

Saturday, I had a mother-daughter day out. We went to see Seabiscuit, then to the mall where we did about 2-3 hours of shopping. :) Though it doesn't sound like much, it did really wear me out just walking from the car to the theater/mall in that heat. :/ But when I got home for the night, I still did some Tai Chi.

Then, I think I overdid it a little yesterday. Went gaming with some friends yesterday afternoon/evening. We did a round of 18 hole mini-golf (indoor -- the only indoor minigolf in Houston that I know of!), then spent a couple of hours playing games at this adult-version of Chucky Cheeze. It's a place called Jillians and is what you get when you mix pool, bowling, arcade games, a bar, and a restaurant. Kinda like Dave and Busters, only I like Dave and Busters a little better. We spent about 4 hours there playing various games, then went to Walmart and spent about 20 minutes wandering the toy isles trying to find a good board game before we gave up and called it a night.

Then I came home and did 20 minutes of Tai Chi.

My legs are *killing* me today. LOL!

Hey Daisy as much as i HATE to i did exercise this morning.LOL I am so tired of you and your blasted exercise threads. I figured if you were'nt going to stop this madness i might as well join you dang it;) . I did the watp 2mile tape this morning bright and early. (not Tara early) but early enough.LOL I am gonna be checking in on this thread more often until i reach goal anyways. Thanks for pushing us to all try harder and be accountable. As for your sculpting i really love the THE FIRM ab sculp system it's fanastic and best of all the results are quick! Check them out they have a 3 tape set which i'm sure is on dvd too.

We did our Body as Transportation routine: This time over nine miles walking to get to and from the mall (where we promptly ate half of the calories at the pizza parlor!:))

I'm in! I got Winsor Pilates CD's and I did my first weekend! 20 min basic Saturday and then 40 min accelerated and 20 min basic Sunday. Today...who knows but I will try to get something in.

Right now for me these are a challenge. I let myself get more out of shape than I thought.

I'm trying to get a plan going. (My plan is to do something...anything until I can get more structure in a routine.)

As far as what to use other than WATP, as already meantioned you might try the Firm CDs. I have heard from a friend that they are quite a workout. However, I think it incorporates exercise in the routine and is not just walking.

Thanks for keeping up with these posts. I appreciate it.

I DID!!!!

I took Friday night off - did my 1/2 hr workout at Curves Saturday morning and walked aroung the Holocaust Museum in DC that afternoon. Then yesterday I did the 3 mile WATP tape, plus cleaned my place to get ready for my parents arrival on Thursday.

Way to go to all of you!!

Yesterday I exercised a lot! I had planned to take Saturday off from exercising and did.:D On Sunday, I worked in the garden for about 1 hour (picking veggies, weeding and watering). I also did some heavy duty house work for about 1 hour. In the late afternoon, the whole family went on a 2 mile bike ride (I pulled my DS in the pull-a-long). It was a challenge since it was 95 degrees here yesterday.

Great job to everyone else who exercised as well!

Jen

I mixed 240 lbs of concrete! That was quite a workout. I repaired/resurfaced my front steps. Phew, it was alot of upper body work but it felt great to have something to show for my efforts (and hopefully my steps won't cave in this winter :) )

urh!! c..a..n..t t..y..p..e! Toooo knackered!!! Too much exercise for one lazy fat girl - gasp!!!:p

seriously tho - YES I DID!!!
I have managed to get the hang of the ab-cruncher/torture device and back up to 200crunches now so I will be increasing that as soon as the pain abates somewhat!!

Has anybody ever recommended wearing heavy wooden platforms as an excellent calf workout - I spent most of Sunday traipsing around Stratford and my legs are sooo tired - those shoes are heavy!!!

I did 1 mile of the 3 mile WATP on both Sat and Sunday :) I also climbed a lot of stairs Saturday getting laundry together and doing the laundry.

I'm at wk 3 for doing the 1st mile of 3 mile WATP those knee lifts are still kicking my butt- I'm hoping to be at mile 2 by this coming weekend :)

Hi, I'm new to the W.I.S.H. so I have a question: what's WATP?

As far as my exercise this weekend, I walked the dog 2x on Sunday, rode my bike around the neighborhood for 20 minutes, walked the 30 min. WW tape, and lifted weights. Today I walked the 40 min. WW tape program, rode the bike for 15 minutes, walked the dog once, and strolled around the beach and boardwalk in Ocean City, NJ. Hardest part of that was strolling PAST the ice cream, french fries, water ice, pizza, soft pretzels, etc.!

Tomorrow I hope to do the 50 min. WW walk, lift weights again, and ride the bike around again. Geez, I think after all that I should be skinny, right? Right??;)

Hi Lulu201!

Welcome to WISH! You'll love it here! And thank you for checking in on our exercise thread - hope to see you here a lot!!! :)

WATP is short for Walk Away the Pounds, a series of exercise videos by Leslie Sansone. I have the four-mile tape, but there are lots of others - one, two and three mile workouts, some with an abs belt, some with hand weights I think. They're a lot of fun (at least I think so) and very effective!

Have a super day, and GOOD FOR YOU for getting active! You'll be at your goal weight in no time!

Daisy;)

Only friday but made it to the gym. Bike for 15 & treadmill for 20. Handweights & abs every other day.

Where is the best place to buy exercise dvds? having a hard time finding them and need to squeeze in exercise with a toddler either early am or after dinner.

Have a great week and keep walking:D
