Who else is on the May 10, 2003 Western?

The only thing i can do to top this vacation is to buy a DVC so I guess I will be keeping my eye out for a Wilderness lodge DVC when i return, best I can figure is i'll need one with about 250 points or so ??

Tom, I feel the exact sme way before EVERY vacation. It's always over way too soon. Why ws your November cruise cancelled? Was that because of the Norwalk virus?:D :D :D

Yup...unfortunately they cancelled the 11/30 Magic sailing due to the virus.....and we did not find out until the day before Thanksgiving....which made us scramble a bit to solidify the changes in plans.....we ended up on the Wonder for 4 nights.....we had planned to stay 5 nights after our 7 night cruise...so we ended up doing 4 nights on the ship and 8 nights in Disney World.....it is a great place and we love it but it was a major disappointment that we did not have our 7 night...but we have to be happy with our cruise this time...we got 50% off and we paid for a category 6...got our stateroom assignment and now we are in a category 4.....and we got to do the western swing....so things can't be all that bad....looking forward to meeting you all.....and we are now down to 10 days...
Tom

The countdown is almost here Tom- I feel exactually the same way. Have been planning for a year and now it almost here, what will I do every night after we come home, I guess I'll have to cook, clean , laundry ect...... booooooo

Hi Tom....sorry took me so long to post a reply about Key West Jungle Cruise but I have been working a from 8am to 9pm overtime to pay for the cruise, lol. The cost is $69 for adults and $35 for children 4-9. I think the $10 coupon comes off that amount. You have to call for reservation and leave a credit card number with them but you can pay by cash if you like when you arrive. We will rent a 2 person scooter and drive to the marina which is about 6 miles from the ship (I hope). Just call me Daredevil Mom.

I like the idea of your wife taking your son on the Jungle Tour for Moms Day. My son Conor is 12 and we have a reservation for the 3pm tour.....would love it if your wife and son want to come with us!

Hey all...do you have any idea if anything is done special on Sunday May 11th for Mother's Day? I guess I can order a special basket....but does Disney do anything special?

Hi Bonnie. I heard that Key West Mallory Square in the late afternoon has a Performing Cats show. I read it on Barbs website. Maybe the little ones would like to see that?

I asked that same question a few months back on this board. The responses were generally "no, nothing special", at least nothing announced.

I think Disney is missing the boat here (no pun intended). I'll bet mothers drive most of the decisions in picking DCL over other cruise lines. At least, it certainly seemed that way on this board....

Hi Dee, Looks like we will br hitting the "sandy" trail together in Grand Cayman, we (6 of us) are scheduled for 9:30 as well. I have not rode in over 10 years so the following day is going to have to be a spa day (sore butt massage !!), I am not sure of our dolphin time but I think we scheduled early so we would have time to play mini-golf in the afternoon.

RMBRESET

Thats is so great We booked w/ShoreTrips and have spoken to Penni at the stables a couple of times, she is super. We are doing the tour first and the ride 2nd probably because they only have a limited number of horses. So give them an extra carrot so they will be ready for us

Thanks
Happy Trails
Dee

My experience with Mother's Day was last year on the Wonder and they really didn't do anything special. There was a large decorated cake at the enterance to each resturant but that was it. Now I'm not a mother so don't know if they did anything in the rooms but I never heard of anything.

This year we are crusiing with my MIL so I ordered her a basket from Shirley at the Perfect Gift.

Good Morning All:

Good morning NikSwims!! (I leave for work earlier than Nik, so I thought I would take a moment to say hello all over again. I'll call you later.)

Ten Days left until we board the plane to fly to Florida then on to the boat. It is a little strange getting so close to WDW and not heading to the Beach Club or to EPCOT .... this trip I am not going to ride or see a monorail ...

But oh what there will be to see. Bring on the Magic. Bring on the Sun and Fun. See Y'All on board.

Hi everyone!!!

My husband, Steven, myself, (Lisa) and our two children are sailing on the magic May 10th. My son Cory, is 9, and my daughter, Morgan is 5. This is our very first cruise. We are sooooo excited.

We are from New Hampshire, so it will be nice to leave the memories of the long harsh winter behind us....

I work as a part time bank teller, and my husband is a scientist at a pharmaceutical company is Ma.

We picked a disney cruise as our vacation because it seems to have something for all of us. My husband has already informed me that he will be in the ESPN skybox alot.. Thats fine by me, there is always the spa for me. :)

See you all in about 10 days!!!!!!

Welcome, Lisa! I hope you can make the DIS meet. We have a lot of other girls in the 5-6 year old range, including my daughter, Caitlin. Is your daughter in Kindergarten also?

Hi Mary Ellen! Thanks for the info about the cats show. My two youngest ones LOVE kitties and I'm sure they would enjoy the show.

rmbreset: How is Claire's arm?

Hi Bonnie,

Morgan just turned 5 last week. She is actually in pre-k. She is very excited about making new friends. I think I'm more excited than my kids.... This is the first big trip since our honeymoon in '94. And of course we went to WDW. Cant' wait to meet everyone!!!! talk to you soon... Lisa

Hi Lisa.....I am a single mom traveling with my 12 yr old son Conor on the May 10 Western cruise. We will be in Room 6576 if you want to give us a holler. Maybe the boys could get together.

There is a meet & greet on Deck 10 at 3pm....you can meet others from this board.
