Who else is on the May 10, 2003 Western?

My suitcases are out also - I had better stop buying clothes, I am running out of room ! Hmmmmm......maybe I can find space for some more shoes? Better get to the mall !

We are packed! Well we have our clothes in garment bags (but they aren't folded up yet) and shoes, t-shirts and underwear packed as well.

Still have to do the carry-ons but that will happen next week.

Still have to make the sign for the meet- but we have a plan.

We are ready!

Andy (aka VerandaMan) has offered to do a screen capture of the ship in port the day we sail. I asked for this so I could add it to our scrapbook. He's doing it for the May 3rd and 10th cruises. If you would like him to send you a copy please read the e-mail below.

Thanks Andy - I'm a big fan of the port cams and any real-time shots we can get will be a great addtion. We even got a shot from our 2/2 cruise of us leaving port, but the camera lense was really dirty and it isn't the best of shots.

E-mail from Andy:

Attention May 3rd and May 10 Cruisers,

I have started an address book for you May 3rd and May 10th cruisers. On Saturday morning, May 3rd and May 10th, I will capture a photo of the Magic in port (depending on the port cam, of course) and e-mail each of you a copy that you will be able to print off for your scrapbook.

If you know of any other May 3rd or May 10th cruiser who would also like a copy of the photo, please have them send me an e-mail at apwalters55@comcast.net and in the subject line put May 3 DCL for the May 3rd cruise or May 10th DCL for the May 10th cruise.

You may add this information on your cruise line threads if you like.

Thanks and enjoy your cruises!!!

Have a Zip-a-Dee-Doo-Dah-Day,
Andy

Hey everyone- I've been MIA over the last few days. We had a busy weekend painting our kitchen- we recently bought a new house and are fixing it little by little in our "spare time"- HA HA. So between that and me having to work a little bit, we had some busy days!

Goofytoo- we bought into the beach club villas in 2000- haven't been able to use it yet but we absolutely LOVE the place. We actually decided to go ahead and buy DVC when we did to make sure we didn't miss out on the opportunity to get into the BCV. We LOVE Epcot so being within walking distance is a dream come true. We are using DVC points for this cruise- the next trip to the world will be 2005, staying "at home" and hopefully taking DH's whole family including the 3 nephews- two of which are identical twins- should be a blast! I'm not a DVC expert but if you have any questions, I'd be happy to try and answer them for you!

I cannot believe that we are under two weeks to go! Yippeeee!! Can't wait anymore----- going crazy!!!!!:jester:  :jester:

Yikes! Now, I'm panicking!!

It sounds like everyone has either packed or started packing!? Meanwhile, we are not even close to that yet! :o :o :o

We just started digging out our kids' summer clothes from the closet yesterday to see what we need to buy for the trip. We'll probably get to our own later this week. This next weekend will be our big shopping trip...

As you can tell, procrastination is our best trait! :) :)

Better get crackin', MFan!

Goofytoo: Did you ever tell your son and his friend about the cruise? Tell us what happened!

MFan- don't worry, DH and I have not even started to think about packing yet- that is a night before we leave job!! We do have lists going of what we want to take, but we cannot get out the suitcases this early or our poor little cats will be in misery for the next 13 days!! They know all about what happens when the suitcases come out! :(

Of course, we don't have kids that we need to pack for either, I'm sure that makes a difference. :smooth:

See you all soon for some fun in the sun!

Hey, since you guys are all so prepared, I thought I would check to see what you all plan to do on the various stops. Are you guys signing up excursions thru DCL or on your own? We've arranged everything ourselves. Here's our tentative plan (subject to changes at the last moment):

Key West: the trolley tour, the Butterfly and Nature Conservatory, the Mallory Square at sunset.

Grand Cayman: Stingray City and Reef snorkeling, 7-mile beach (jetski and suntan), shopping (rum cake...)

Cozumel: Chankanaab Park (snorkeling/scuba), shopping, and maybe miniture golf.

Castaway: sun & fun.

Now, if only I can get started on the packing...

Key West - bought trolly tickets online - saved $4 each of the price of them from Disney. While doing the trolly we plan on stopping at the Butterfly Conservatory, taking a picture at the Southernmost Point, Hemmingway's House.

Grand Cayman - doing the DCL excursion Snorkeling with Stingrays and Discover Cayman. This includes the turtle farm and HELL. It leaves at 7:40 am so should give us some time in port to do shopping after.

Cozumel - doing the DCL excurison Ruins Tour and Beach Break. DH really wanted to do a ruins tour. The mainland ones were 7 hours long. This is only 4 hours - more my speed.

Castaway Cay - snorkeling, maybe some biking, lots of relaxing!

What is everyone else doing?

Conor and I are renting scooters at Key West and putting over to the KeyWest Jungle Tour - 2 person speed boat thru mango isle and snorkeling.

Not too sure about Gr Cayman or Cozumel, probably play it by ear. Since we are doing the Discovery Cove dolphin & stingray swim before the cruise, not too sure about the stingray city tour.

Some of the disney tours have 45 min ferry rides to and from the destination so not sure what we will do

verniebird-

Where did you get information on the Key West Jungle Tour? Sounds like something my family would enjoy.

Dolphins in Cozumel and stingrays in Grand Cayman for us!

Konk Coolers on Castaway!!

Key West - Trolley tour (bought tickets on-line as well), followed by drinks and snacks at the "Half Shell Raw Bar"

Grand Cayman - Horseback riding on the beach, island tour

Cozumel - Dolphins and mini-golf, looser buys at Havana Club

Vernibird....what is the cost of the tour....the web site gives you $10.00 off per couple but it does not give you any cost.....thanks....Tom

Hi everyone!

We haven't scheduled any excursions through Disney..all on our own. We don't have many plans for Key West...the kids may stay in the club for awhile while my DH and I hit Margaritaville, then go back and get the kids for awhile. In Grand Cayman we paln to go to the Turtle Farm (on our own) and then to 7 Mile Beach. In Cozumel we'll do mini golf and then probably Mr. Sanchos Beach. And on Castaway Cay we plan to just have fun, fun, fun!

I am in super countdown mode now...omly 8 days to go (doing 3 days at WDW first....) Only 2 days of work left.....yahoo! I can't wait!:bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc

Here is what I have in my notes for the Jungle Tour "($69 / adult & $35 / child) 3 people can actually ride in the boat if the child is young." Not sure if the prices include the $10 coupon. I'd presume it is. Not bad either way for 3 hours. Too bad my 2 daughters are too young.

But, it is Mothers' Day, so maybe I'll let my wife take my son on this... hmmm...

I'm leaving a week from tonight! Woo hoo!

I'm so jealous of everyone's fun excursions. We have to wait till the baby is older. :( I guess our excursions will be our days at the parks before the cruise.

Hello all....it is kind of funny....cannot wait for the cruise on the Magic to begin....but part of the whole vacation thing for me is the anticiation of going....so now we are 10 days out and I would like it to start tomorrow....but want to wait til we go...can anyone out there relate....maybe I'm going nuts....anyway, as far as excursions are concerned...we are doing the trolley tour in Key West....and I lucked out since my mother in law has two free passes for it....cost to me.....zip......
By the way, we were part of the Magic cruise that was cancelled in November due to illness.....is anyone else out there part of that cruise and sailing on May 10th?
Talk to you all soon.....
Tom

I'm with you on that one Tom- I know exactly how you feel. David (DH) and I were talking the other day about something we were going to do after the cruise was over and it was so sad to realize how soon it would be over and we're back to the daily grind. Of course I won't let that diminish one ounce of my enjoyment of being on the cruise! I know you won't either. It is always hard when coming home from a fabulous vacation and realizing how far away you are from the next one!

We're almost doing the single-digit dance!!
