Who else is in waitlist torture? When and Where

We are waitlisted for HHI for 6/2 to 6/7 for a studio---we already have a 2 bdrm but have more people coming. Our friends also have a 2 bdrm for the same days and are waitlisted for a GV. Crossing our fingers! I want my living room free when I get up early and everyone else is still asleep!

Just a few more weeks---Can't wait!!!

I thought you couldn't waitlist inside of 30 days?

We have two waitlists right now. BLT Lake View studio for 8/15-8/19 (4 nights), and BWV standard view for 12/11-12/15 (also 4 nights; although we did get the garden/pool view reservation for these dates )

We are on the waiting list for a 2 br Savana View at AKV Kidani (11/29 - 12/6).

We are booked at VWL, but I hope our wait list goes through. I really want to check out the new pool and splash area.

We HAVE 2bdrm Savanna View at Kidani and are waitlisted for 2brm at VWL 11/29 -12-4...good luck to both of us

Whoo hoo!! I just checked the member web site, and 2 nights in an SSR studio had been replaced by 2 nights in a BCV studio!! Now our whole crew is at least at the same resort the first 2 nights of our trip.

Lots of pixie dust to everyone else waiting for their waitlist!!

We were waitlisted for one night (booked that on cash) for July 4th akv jambo savannah and it just came through today I was on the waitlist less than a week!!

You can ask for your waitlist to be extended until 7 days before arrival and the MS computer will continue to actively try to match it. Once you are within 7 days of arrival your only option is to call MS every day or give up.

I have gotten lucky twice with calling every day (maybe I'm just that annoying and they get tired of hearing the Bronx accent ).

We are surrently at SSR 2br lockoff from 11-28 to 12-5. I called 4-28 while at Disney!!! to check on BCV the MS person was very short and VERY not helpful. And since I had no desire to ruin my trip I waited until we returned home 5-1 and called again. The new MS person said there was no availibility at VWL, BLT or BCV but she did tell me that a 2 BR lockoff is harder to get than dedicated and suggested we WL that at both BCV & BLT and also suggested a Lake View @ BLT since there are the most 2BRs there. She was SOOOO nice and helpful!!!

So worst case we stay @ SSR which we love and if there is enough magic - we get to try another wonderful DVC resort!!!!

Currently have WL for SSR THV 12/27-1/1 Have 2 BR SSR reservation but THV would work better for our group. Will be calling trying to change either BCV or OKW for same time to AKV. This is the one time having 3 separate contracts at 3 resorts is a bit of a problem. DS really wants to be at AKV for his DD's first trip to WDW. Hope we don't end up on WL for that one.

It is actually 7 days as you thought, not 10. But, it wouldn't hurt to calll.

I was on the WL since June and nothing came through for our upcoming visit. I called and found a couple of the days available at another resort (not on our WL request) and I was able to book those days. As it stands, we have a split stay which is okay. I may call within the 7 days after our WL drops off, too.

I phoned today to check status. My WL expires close-of-business today (7 days from arrival) and starting Friday I should phone day by day. I opened this WL in late Feb ... it has been a l-o-n-g wait. ;-) Yes, I do have a different unit booked at same resort, but unless the WL comes through we'll have to move after the first night.

I would recommend calling at least twice a day. Some CMs are more knowledgeable than others with great gifts of manipulation. I called everyday, once in the morning and once in the afternoon. It paid off handsomely. We managed to make contact on several occasions just as a reservation had been canceled. Be persistent!
