I refer to my ex boss as my psychotic ex boss. She is the nastiest people in the world. She's one of those people who sucks up to the bigwigs to get on their good side, and treats everyone else badly. I have a file on her that is a good two inches thick. She would take my ideas and pass them off as her own (including one that saved the company thousands of dollars). At one point they were starting to lay people off, and she was afraid they would let either me or her go (which they wouldn't have done), so she started telling her boss lies about me to make me look bad (when all of the secretaries and attorneys knew I did a great job).
One time, she called me into her office for a meeting with one of the attorneys in the office to ask my professional opinion on how to handle something, I gave my opinion, and she insisted that we do it another way (which had gone badly). When I reminded her how badly it had gone the previous time, she told me that we would be doing it her way. When I went to my office, she came in, slammed the door, and yelled at me, saying I made her look like a fool because I second guessed her, and I told her that if anyone looked like a fool it was me because she basically scolded me in front of the attorney.
People used to ask me how I could deal with her, and I would just shrug it off. I work with the same storage company, and we have the same account manager, and the guy said to me that he never heard two people complain about each other as much as my psychotic ex boss and the guy who replaced me. He said he couldn't believe that I didn't have the same issues, and I told him that I did have the same issues, but I just was professional enough not to discuss them with people. He told me that he understands what I went through with her--he said it's tough to get things through her thick skull.
I could go on and on about her, but I'll spare you all
