Who else eats out a lot?

I just figured that I was spending about $65 everytime our family of 4 went out. Even doing that on the weekends, I was spending $140 or so a month and that was just on the "weekend" place! Didn't count the Friday night pizza, or the occasional Wendy's. On bad months, it would be about $300 a month! :earseek:

Used to but now we are 1 year away from paying off the mortgage so we are cuttting back quite a bit.

We ate out a lot more pre-kids. Now, while we still do eat out maybe once or twice a week (mostly on weekends), we tend to eat more often at home, since it's just easier with the kids. :)

when you pick your kids up and the first question out of their mouths is "where are we eating tonigh?" That was my clue we were eating out too much!!!

We don't eat out very often.
However, DMIL retired in June and I doubt she has cooked two meals since then. Unfortunately both of those were when we went to their house - she isn't a very good cook in the first place, so we hope to go out. :( Sad, but she thinks she is doing us a great pleasure by cooking for us. God help us.

Dh and I are trying to eat more meals at home....We were also finding that eating out was no longer a treat. We would get in the car and try to decide which rest. we wanted that night....and we would all be blah, not that again....I agree with another poster that the rest. must use salt or some ingredient that kind of hooks a patron and it is hard to get use to the taste of food at home.
We are eating out once or twice a week now and it is something we look forward to now....not to mention the savings...

We eat out a lot. I can't cook for crap. I also don't eat all day and come home starving at 8pm. I don't have time to pick something and wait for it to be cooked.

If I know what I want on the way home, DH will make it for me so it's ready when I get home, but I'm usually over-hungry and can't decide. By the time I do decide, I can't wait anymore.

We have very little food in the house.....my mother is always bugging me about it.

We stock up in the winter in case of a storm, but we generally just eat out. We have no kids, so I don't see the problem. :teeth:

Heavens!! What must your arteries look like?? :teeth:

We get fast food maybe once a week, usually Sunday lunch on the way home from church. We eat at a sit-down restaurant much less often, that is a treat to us. I can pay for groceries for my family for a week for the same amount of money to get us one dinner at Fridays.

It is the same with my mother. Hasn't cooked for anyone in years (she's by herself) and when we visit she wants to cook :scared: . I'm sure anything out of the freezer has freezer burn. We always suggest eating out.
