Who else besides me feels so sad. When in MCO about to go home??

MCO is my favorite place when I get there and my least favorite leaving. It's gotten worse with the addition of ME. I love those people with the Mickey hands waving when I get there, but I feel like I want to just fall in a heap and cry for days when I see them on the way OUT! :sad1:

I am so glad to see that I am not the only one who goes through this at the airport. It's such a horrible feeling seeing all the happy people going in the opposite direction. The only thing worse than that is seeing people being dropped off at your resort as you are pulling your suitcases to the curb to be picked up :sad2:

Glendamax,

That is what does it for me. The airport a bit, but watching people arrive as I'm checking out... that really bums me out.

:sunny: LOL We are the same. When we used to fly US Air, we would always remark that we had to make the "Long Walk" when we were due to fly home. This was in reference to the long corridor with all the windows that you took to your gate.
:sunny: On our return home last September, our then 5 year old DD finally came to her senses and realized that she LOVED WDW!! LOL She started sobbing uncontrollably when it was time to board the plane (and continued for half the flight home), saying she was Mickey-sick and wanted to stay forever. LOL :wizard:

I am going to see my Dad in Ft Myers in Sept. I have a stop over at MCO. I told my husband it will be hard for me not to head over to go to WDW. Good thing I will be going to Disney in Oct!

I get sad when i see the sign leaveing WDW but always remember that were going next year. This is why we bought DVC so we can enjoy WDW.

I always feel this way. Especially last Wed. when we came to MCO in the rain about 80 degrees got on the plane and were informed it was 100 degrees in Dallas. Already planning next visit for Christmas. Moving to Orlando in June 2008 when I get my AA degree and my DS graduates from High School. :cheer2:

Up to the point we board the bus to the airport I am fine enjoying every last drop of pixie dust pixiedust: it really hits me on the monorail at MCO that takes you to your terminal it's like the point of no return. :sad1: ..............but if i'm really honest I am probably worse the first few days we are home - constantly looking at my watch and thinking this time yesterday we would be................................. :rotfl:

Yes...except my sadness creeps in while still at WDW. Actually...it happens during each "segment" of our extended vacation. While at the PBH...preparing to leave our suite after a week, I find it difficult to imagine the first week of our planned vacation has passed by--all gone wayyy to soon. We're still "okay" with it, as we know we have the entire rest of the stay all stretched out in front of us.

After another 2 weeks at Disney's Vero Beach, we stand in the cottage together on the morning we are packing up the vehicle and wonder aloud to one another. We all think & say the same exact thing, "where did ALL that time once stretched-out in front of us...actually go?" And, when we are preparing to leave WDW, after another 4-6 weeks in a resort suite on property (or two), we always lament that no matter HOW long we visit or vacation--it is NEVER long enough. We are sad to know the show continues each evening, and the night we leave will be no different. There will be more laughter, another illuminations and another Fantasmic. Life continues each day in a never-ending rhythm...even when our time there comes to a close. :cloud9:

The only thing which helps to ease this pain, is always knowing we are returning like clockwork the following year. This, coupled with the fact we can drive to Disneyland anytime (once home) for a MK fix makes the pain more palpable! :goodvibes These two things help to alleviate the "sting" associated with having to abandon another summer (yet once more). :confused3 It would not matter if we visited WDW for one week, one month or three months...it would always feel the same. We just have so much fun there each year, it is always sad to see it all end. :wizard:

Awww...how could you be so ~sad~? :confused3 You just had ALL that FUN! :Pinkbounc

I'm never sad because I always know another trip is around the corner!

I felt that feeling so many times that I decided to move to Orlando. :) I can remember sitting in the airport thinking about going back to ice and snow, the great time I had in Orlando.

I also decided it would be cheaper to just move here instead of visiting so often. One of the best decisions I ever made.

Me too...I used to be the blonde girl on the plane headed back to T.F. Green in RI crying....even with 2 or 3 trips on deck....I was still miserable going back. Eventually things just got to be too expensive in the Boston area and we hauled butt to FL....we've got passes....and are now very happy.....but with a mortgage and only having a 45 minute drive it's hard to justify staying on site....so I still enter contests to win trips to WDW...lol.

I know how that feels. I just get sick and excited when I watch the Disney commericals. All I think is "Have to go back and spend at least two wks to do everything that I want do". Been to WDW 3x's and DL (Anaheim) at least once or 3x's a year since I was 4. I get to go to DL in a couple of weeks and I'm starting to plan my next WDW trip but haven't come up with an exact date. Oh well........... :woohoo:

When we were waiting to leave sanford airport,i made the mistake of looking out a window and seeing all the new arrivals collecting hire cars.It made me cry.Infact coming home from this trip has made me cry a lot.
On our 1st day home we got in the car and, would you believe it,there was a best of Disney show on the radio. The minute they played "when you wish upon a star",mum and i both burts into floods of tears.
How funny that such a fabulous place can equally make you so sad.

I hate to see the sign when you leave disney world where mickey says "see ya real soon" :(
