This has been on my mind recently, since my trip is coming up in Sept. Well, what happens everytime to me is this. I am on my way home walking through the airport, to catch my flight home. And, I see all the people arriving to go to Disney. It is like everything goes in slow motion. And I get so sad. :sad2: It just seems as though, no matter how much time I spend at disney it is never enough. I always experience this. It is etched in my mind. Does anyone else. Experience the same thing?? :confused3

I always experience this. I thought I was the only Dis-nut - ha! ha! Actually, what you need to do is plan a second Disney trip in the near future. That way, you always have a trip to look forward to when your 1st trip ends. Seriously, what would we all do without Disney? :guilty:

This is going to be our first family trip to WDW and I already know that I will be depressed at the aspect of going home. Who wouldn't be? We are going to have 4 days of not having to drive, not having to cook, not having to clean! Why would I want to go back to that???? Plus the added magic of DISNEY 24/7!!

I plan on throwing myself onto the floor, kicking and screaming "No NO NO NO NO I will not go home!" I figure maybe that will work...and I can stay there...Can Moms go on strike and just stay at Disney? :teeth:

If my kids can throw a tantrum then why can't I?

I am never sad about going home, because I always miss my dog. However after I have been home for a day or so all I can think about is going back. :sunny:

I am so glad to see that I am not the only one who goes through this at the airport. It's such a horrible feeling seeing all the happy people going in the opposite direction. The only thing worse than that is seeing people being dropped off at your resort as you are pulling your suitcases to the curb to be picked up :sad2:

Lol, Me too! :dogdance:

I experience this everytime too! Although usually it's not at the airport, it's on the last WDW night while watching the fireworks and riding the tram back to the parking lot and to the resort. I always cry! :guilty:

My exact thoughts :dog: (this dog kinda looks like Gizmo)!

I do get a little sad about leaving and seeing others just getting there...oh who am I kidding? It's just jealousy :sad2: . But I get over it quickly cause those people are getting ready to experience the same joy that I just did :goodvibes .

I get a bit meloncholy on the way home too.....*sigh* I figured I wasn't alone in this feeling. LOL

Pitiful, just pitiful isn't it? :p

.

i got this really bad when we went....but we flew from sanford and there was loads of refurb going on when we left and that depressed me more!

I was pathetic, but not at MCO. It was during my Dec 2002 trip. My last night, I spent at MK. Stayed for the fireworks (can't remember the name of the program, prior to Wishes). Anyways I started to walk out, and of course Mickey is up on the Train platform telling people good night, glad you came etc...and all of sudden I just started crying  . I actually had to sit on a bench for like 15 mins! just to get a hold of myself...sheesh...I am just glad I was at WDW by myself..I mean...how embarrassing!

I didn't want to go home!! :goodvibes

aw thats cute! i can remember that last Disney thing we did was go to see Fantasmic.....it was a wonderful wonderful end to a magical time, but yes, very sad too

I know exactly how you feel! I remember waiting to board the plane for our trip down (ooooh the excitement) and thinking how sad the others that are just returning must feel.I know I felt sooo sad when we returned and saw everyone else waiting... it's a vicious cycle!! :sunny:

I felt that feeling so many times that I decided to move to Orlando. :) I can remember sitting in the airport thinking about going back to ice and snow, the great time I had in Orlando.

I also decided it would be cheaper to just move here instead of visiting so often. One of the best decisions I ever made.

Not really. Yes I wish my vacation wasn't over and I was staying another week, but I use this time to reflect on how great my vacation was and how thankful I am to have been able to go.

We don't fly but I do hate those little envelopes they tie to your door knob on your check-out day. I can't open the door, I make my husband get it:(

We get sad too. On our last trip, DH & I looked at each other and remarked that we hated to leave the fabulous view we had from our room. We both had tears in our eyes. We did not want to go home! More so than the kids, I'm sure of it!

:sad1:

I totally agree. To see all the kids coming to the airport get all excited about being at Disney, then I look at my kids who are all upset because we are going home! I sympathize!!! Sometimes I wish we lived in Florida so we could go more often! Just planning for the next trip.....

Hehe.I am plannng to move to Orlando as well..hopefully by the end of this year/ early next.,... I have always loved Orlando...I like it because its not as Big/Obnoxious as Miami, people are more "Americanized" and its not nearly as itty bitty as the town I grew up in in TN...what part of O-Town did you move to (or did you move to a surrounding city?)

This is why I entertain little fantasies about chucking it all and moving down there, to get a job as a servant in the Haunted Mansion. That way, I'll be in it every day!
